Seeing that a single moment of negligence had led to two of his Pokémon being defeated, Gul no longer allowed his Pokémon to fight individually. Otherwise, if things continued this way, his team would be wiped out before Mega Charizard Y even finished its Mega Evolution.
However, Gu Yuan would not give him that chance. After notifying Alakazam and Hatterene, Gu Yuan continued to focus entirely on commanding Mega Charizard Y.
"Annihilape, Ditto, Moltres, go all out! You must take down your opponents as quickly as possible."
"Roaring Moon, assist Ditto. Sylveon, assist Annihilape."
As the command for a general offensive rang out, Alakazam stopped toying with the enemy. It unleashed its Strong Psychic Trio, instantly suppressing Sableye. Long before the attack, Alakazam and the others had already boosted their power to the limit. The previous fighting was merely a way to buy more time for the current plan.
Rage Fist was unleashed.
This time, Hypno was first distracted by Sylveon's Hyper Beam, allowing Annihilape's punch to land easily on its chest. This highlighted the weakness of clones: low intelligence. Even as a Psychic-type, Hypno could only act according to Gul's commands and lacked the ability for independent thought.
After the first hit, Annihilape followed up with another. Two Rage Fist strikes boosted to maximum power were enough to completely defeat the Hypno.
Things weren't going any better for Nidoking. It was first forced back by Ditto's Rage Fist, only for Roaring Moon to charge from behind using Dragon Rush, swallowing it whole. Dragon Claw thrust forward, piercing Nidoking's body. Without giving it a chance to struggle, the Ditto transformed into Annihilape slammed another Rage Fist into the target.
Flames fell as Moltres slowly ascended into the sky; Arcanine had already lost its ability to fight and was unconscious.
Using psychic power to blast Sableye down, Alakazam slowly appeared near Gul, surrounding him alongside Roaring Moon and the others.
"Let's do this together! Let's see if your combined power can defeat an Elite Rank Pokémon!"
At Gu Yuan's voice, Mega Charizard Y led the charge. Blast Burn was released, looking like a falling sun. An orange-yellow current surged out, transforming into a spear that shattered the fireball.
The moment the flames scattered, Roaring Moon appeared behind Electivire, manifesting as a giant dragon through Dragon Rush. Turning around, Electivire wrapped lightning around its fist and used Mega Punch to break Roaring Moon's offensive.
Before Electivire could pursue, Moltres's Blast Burn arrived. As Electivire retaliated, Annihilape and Ditto appeared together, launching a coordinated attack with Rage Fist.
Faced with a three-way pincer attack, Electivire immediately released a massive amount of electricity, forcing their attacks back. Before it could breathe a sigh of relief, Mega Charizard Y used Heat Wave to control the scattered flames, turning them into a firestorm that swallowed Electivire.
Flapping its wings, Roaring Moon began to gather energy, transforming into a great dragon. Moltres would not be outdone, releasing waves of heat as a massive firebird emerged.
The instant the orange electricity shattered the firestorm, Roaring Moon and Moltres launched their assault simultaneously. Electivire tried to strike back with Thunder, but Alakazam suddenly appeared and interrupted the move with its Strong Psychic Trio.
Consequently, Roaring Moon and Moltres struck home together. Unable to retaliate immediately, Electivire inevitably suffered the impact. Charging out from the spatial rift, Annihilape and Ditto slammed their Rage Fist into Electivire's back. Even with its Elite Rank strength, Electivire felt a surge of intense pain.
A rolling wave of heat followed; Mega Charizard Y's Blast Burn was already right in front of it.
Whoosh!
The searing flames spread, instantly swallowing Electivire. In a battle of this level, Gul had no plan to intervene—or rather, he simply couldn't. With all his Leader Rank Pokémon defeated, Gul could only try to minimize his presence. If he attracted Gu Yuan's attention, he would likely die even faster. Now, he could only hope Electivire could resolve this crisis on its own.
The intense pain from the burns snapped Electivire into focus. It no longer cared about Gul's order to stall out the Mega Evolution; instead, it began frantically mobilizing its power. Electricity surged out to dispel the flames, but Roaring Moon and Moltres launched another pincer attack.
Thunder was released, expanding into several currents that neutralized their offensive. Electivire even managed to capture the movements of Annihilape and Ditto as they emerged from the spatial rift. It gathered electricity in its fists and swung, forcing their advance back.
Seizing the opportunity, Mega Charizard Y attacked again with two Blast Burn volleys. Orange electricity coiled around Electivire as it suddenly fired a Zap Cannon, stubbornly blocking the two fireballs. However, exploding with such power left Electivire feeling exhausted.
Using Teleport, Alakazam appeared behind Electivire and used Ally Switch.
A wave of heat arrived. Before the stunned Electivire could even turn its head, a Blast Burn appeared right in front of it and swallowed it whole. This time, Roaring Moon and the others attacked in unison. Dragon Pulse, Blast Burn, Hyper Beam, and Strong Psychic Trio were released in turns, drowning Electivire.
As the smoke cleared, a heavily scarred Electivire barely remained standing.
"Finish it!"
Gu Yuan's voice rang out again, giving the opponent no time to breathe. Blast Burn was released once more, and this time Electivire's Thunder was insufficient to stop it. Alakazam used Teleport again to bring Roaring Moon and Moltres behind the target. The dragon and the firebird reappeared, slamming into Electivire's back. Finally, Mega Charizard Y added one last Blast Burn, completely defeating it.
The moment Electivire lost its ability to fight, Mega Charizard Y reverted from its Mega Evolution.
"No need to rush. You and I have plenty of time to chat."
Using psychic power to restrain the attempting-to-flee Gul, Gu Yuan spoke while confiscating all his Poké Balls, locking Electivire and the others inside. Before Gu Yuan could begin the interrogation, Chika arrived.
Gu Yuan had notified backup before the fight began. He hadn't expected Gul's performance to be so poor that the backup wouldn't even be needed.
