On the surface, Gu Yuan only possessed Lower-tier Elite strength. However, once Charizard Mega Evolved, it held considerable power even within the Middle-tier Elite stage.
As the flames spread, Gu Yuan and Mega Alakazam performed Teleport together, vanishing with Mega Charizard Y and the rest.
