Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Batman: I. Am. Super. Rich

Diana pulled out the godfire sword, and the eyes of the God of Death, Mictlantecuhtli, had lost their luster.

Losing the support of the godfire sword, his massive body fell to the ground.

"He's dead already?" Diana felt a bit unsatisfied, completely unfulfilled.

Dane walked over to the God of Death's corpse, looked at it, and shook his head:

"His body is indeed dead, but his soul may not be."

Mictlantecuhtli also had a soul, or you could call it a divine soul, which is very difficult to destroy.

He had some tricks up his sleeve; even the godfire sword couldn't extinguish his soul.

"Where did he go?"

Diana frowned, she hadn't sensed anything.

"Here."

Dane clenched his hand, and the Wizard Scepter was firmly grasped.

He brought the Scepter's White magic crystal close to the God of Death's corpse, and the crystal glowed faintly, as if transmitting some information to him.

As the contemporary Shazam, Dane naturally understood the Scepter's meaning.

He then aimed the Scepter at the obsidian spear lying unattended nearby.

The crystal suddenly shone brightly.

"Found you!"

The God of Death's soul was hiding in the obsidian, and at this moment, he seemed to sense that something was amiss.

A small crack suddenly appeared in the obsidian, and a mass of black mist seemed to want to fly out.

But how could Dane give him this chance?

He aimed the crystal at the obsidian, and with divine power, the crystal emitted a dazzling White light that engulfed the obsidian.

Strike while the iron is hot!

When he was intact, he could still resist, but now, in his half-crippled state, his divine soul was no match for the Scepter.

The God of Death's power and divinity were directly absorbed by the Scepter, and the poor Mictlantecuhtli was annihilated before he could even let out a scream.

Dane retracted the Scepter, and a small amount of black suspended gas, which was Death's power, appeared in the White crystal.

"You took his power?"

Diana wasn't completely ignorant; she could still discern some things.

"Death's power, this is very rare; it might come in handy later."

Dane didn't hide it, explaining directly and clearly.

Diana was thoughtful. She had heard Dane talk about Kryptonian, and the Old Gods' power could indeed be considered a force that restrains them.

Kryptonian are creatures with immense strength, invulnerability, and super speed.

These superpowers, when separated, are not that remarkable, but when combined, they are very troublesome.

Even if Wonder Woman's godfire sword could kill them, two fists are no match for four hands.

"What do you want to make?"

At Diana's question, Dane suddenly remembered the bayonet Zod used to stab kidneys in "man of steel" and "Flash."

This hidden weapon was incredibly insidious, but he wondered if it would be interesting if he also did something similar.

So he smiled and said:

"I'm going to make a very despicable weapon!"

After speaking, he struck the ground with the Scepter, and the altar's floor tiles immediately cracked, revealing a World of void and darkness within.

"Let's go."

He said, naturally taking Diana's hand, and the two instantly vanished.

The altar simultaneously collapsed with a roar. Without the God of Death's sustenance, this last Aztec god's sanctuary also vanished into thin air... Meanwhile, while Dane and Diana were eliminating the ancient Aztec God of Death.

Constantine and Batman also sought out one of Beru'er's competitors.

Actually, saying they sought them out isn't entirely accurate; in fact, it should be considered that the demons found them first.

But the process was not pleasant.

On the outskirts of the city, Constantine and Batman were fleeing in disarray.

Behind them was a pack of Hellhound, their bodies burning with an ominous flame, as thin as skin and bones.

"I say, why don't you use that damned missile to give them a good shot right now?"

Batman gave him a strange look, "Do you play your trump card first?"

"Exactly, that's called winning by surprise!"

Constantine rolled his eyes at him, but he understood his meaning.

But his body wasn't as battle-hardened as Batman's; he was about to give out.

"We'll both die like this!"

"No," Batman looked up, "at least not today."

Constantine looked up, and his face also showed joy—the batplane appeared again!

But the godfire cannon's ammunition was not infinite.

In fact, killing Beru'er had already used up most of the batplane's ammunition.

So after killing a batch of Hellhound, the batplane's cannon also ceased fire.

"Damn it, do you have any other tricks?"

Batman didn't speak, but his calm demeanor also infected Constantine, giving him even enough time to take a puff of his cigarette.

Sure enough, not long after the batplane's engine died, its rear compartment suddenly opened.

Then a huge black shadow fell from it.

With a "boom," the huge steel crushed several Hellhound that had run close.

Constantine's eyes widened, and he clearly saw that it was a car.

A heavy armored vehicle shaped like a bat—yes, it was a fucking armored vehicle!

Batman walked forward, and the Batmobile opened its door as if welcoming its Master.

Constantine quickly followed, complaining:

"Now I know why you, as an ordinary person, dare to hang out with a bunch of 'Gods.'"

"Is your superpower being rich?"

Batman paused, then told him in a very serious tone:

"I am very rich!"

Constantine gave him the middle finger.

Batman gripped the steering wheel and stepped on the accelerator.

The Batmobile roared violently, stimulating the adrenaline in both men.

"Now, My. Turn!"

The heavy armored vehicle accelerated from a standstill, its thick armor directly crashing into the Hellhound, smashing all creatures that dared to block its path into organic fragments.

The thick tires crushed bones and blood with a grating sound that set one's teeth on edge, but Constantine listened with surging excitement.

"I love this car!"

Batman said coolly, "It's not for sale."

After crushing all the Hellhound, a figure suddenly appeared in front of the car, looking nothing like a person.

Because it had four glowing red eyes and a pair of large wings on its back, it perfectly fit the image of a demon.

Batman reacted very quickly; he immediately activated the weapon system.

The Batmobile's cannon extended and fired a shot directly at the demon.

But after the smoke cleared, the demon was unharmed.

"This demon is much higher level than the Hellhound; you must use magic power to hurt it!"

"Then what are you waiting for?"

Batman said, while controlling the heavy armored vehicle to maneuver around the opponent.

Seeing that he was truly unwilling to use the eternal metal missile, Constantine gritted his teeth and cast magic.

Another long string of unintelligible incantations was uttered.

As the demon tried to block the Batmobile with both hands, a huge Angel made of Fire appeared before it.

The Angel drew the great sword from its back and swung it at the demon.

A wall of Fire rapidly formed in the direction of the great sword's swing, and everywhere it went, there was holy flame.

This line of Fire seemed to have a mind of its own, chasing after the demon.
