There was no suspense in the battle between Faora and Dane.
Even with her Kryptonian abilities activated, Faora's base attributes couldn't compare to Dane, who had multiple buffs stacked.
Not to mention she hadn't even activated them yet; her power armor was no different from paper in Dane's eyes, and he tore it off in a few moves.
Then, he packed her up and threw her into the Dream Realm, under Cortana's jurisdiction.
While Dane was sweeping through on his side, Clark, on the other side, had already met his father's killer, Zod.
Zod stood before a Sun-facing window, feeling the warmth the Sun brought him, when he heard movement behind him.
Clark broke through the hatch and walked in.
"I presume you are Jor-El's son, aren't you? Kal-El?"
Zod turned around, revealing his resolute and cold face to Clark.
"Look at you, you're so much like your father… You might not know, your father and I… were once the closest comrades."
"But you killed him!" Clark's expression was furious.
Zod seemed to momentarily lose himself:
"So you know… You're right, I killed him, but that's because he betrayed our cause!
Kryptonian is already destroyed, but your father clearly had the ability to save it with me!"
"But that's no reason for you to murder and incite rebellion!"
Zod's expression darkened: "You seem to know a bit too much."
Clark took a fighting stance: "For years, I've been preparing for your arrival. You'll be surprised by my abilities."
But Zod scoffed. He clasped his hands on his helmet and removed it.
In that instant, all the sounds of the cabin flooded into his ears, every tiny noise amplified to the extreme, causing him immense pain.
And the sight before him became overlapped due to the effect of his X-ray vision, making it impossible to distinguish front from back or gauge distances.
But in just a few seconds, Zod adapted to this change, learning how to filter, select, and synthesize the information he wanted.
Zod reopened his eyes, and the World in his perception had changed.
"Kal-El, do you think I don't know what the yellow sun means to us?"
The boosting effect of the yellow sun on Kryptonians was not a secret during the distant era of expansion; it was public knowledge.
It was also a significant reason why Kryptonians initially dominated the Universe.
But ever since the Kryptonian civil war and the subsequent establishment of the Kryptonian Council, they had sealed off this information.
And later generations living on Kryptonian never witnessed that miraculous power again; their star was red, and over time, many forgot the power of the yellow sun.
But Zod was different; he and Jor-El were family friends, so much of what Jor-El knew, he also knew.
There were many yellow stars in the Universe, but few had such an immediate effect on Kryptonians as the Sun.
And Zod, as a combat-specialized Kryptonian engineered through genetic modification, could adapt to his powers faster than any other Kryptonian.
Just as he once said in the movie, he had spent his entire life training his senses, constantly preparing for battle.
"Come on, let me see what Jor-El's son is capable of!"
No sooner had he spoken than Clark instantly lunged forward. He grabbed Zod's body with both hands, smashed through the spaceship, and pushed him out into the Universe.
Despite being in space, Zod's movements were not affected in the slightest, as if he had anticipated it.
Zod grabbed Clark's hair, yanked his head up, and a powerful punch instantly landed on Clark's face, sending him flying.
However, Clark merely shook his head and flew back towards Zod.
Like a turn-based game, Zod was knocked back by Clark's punch, his back colliding with a passing asteroid. The kinetic energy from the super-high speed caused his body to shatter the asteroid like a bullet.
Even his power armor was damaged.
Zod tore off his armor, revealing a black bodysuit underneath, which was more effective at absorbing sunlight.
He stood in the middle of the shattered asteroid belt, casually grabbing broken rocks and throwing them at Clark.
Clark's eyes flashed red, and his heat vision exploded each rock one by one, then he landed another punch on Zod.
But this time, Zod had already learned to fly. As he retreated, he suddenly shifted sideways, causing Clark's punch to miss, then he powerfully struck Clark's back of the head with both hands, making him dizzy.
Zod's eyes also lit up with red beams, and a thick blast of heat vision struck Clark, pushing him towards Jupiter.
At the same time, Zod flew after him, locking his hands around Clark's neck.
They simultaneously flew towards Jupiter, and under Jupiter's immense gravity, their speed increased rapidly.
Jupiter's radiation struck their skin, causing even the Kryptonians to feel a stinging sensation.
Clark struggled to pry Zod's hands open, but several attempts failed.
Jupiter's Great Red Spot watched the two tiny ants like a giant eye as they plunged into her atmosphere.
After entering the atmosphere, they rapidly plummeted at a speed of 180,000 kilometers per hour.
The atmosphere ignited intense flames around them, and powerful storms with wind speeds reaching 480 kilometers per hour swirled around them.
Clark used all his strength to elbow backward, and Zod suddenly winced in pain and released his grip.
But neither of them let go of the other, continuing their offensive with punches and kicks as they fell.
Each punch seemed to tear through the storm, and lightning flashed around them, as if in encouragement.
But they didn't realize that their position was getting further and further from the Sun, and the Sun's emitted warmth was almost imperceptible.
Intense cold was eroding their bodies, and by the time they realized it, the surroundings were already a World of clouds and thunderstorms.
Jupiter is a gas Planet, and before they could truly reach Jupiter's core, they would likely die from a lack of sufficient sunlight.
Clark immediately flew upward, wanting to escape the Planet, but Zod grabbed his ankle and threw him sideways.
Just then, a lightning bolt more powerful than all the lightning on Earth combined struck him, causing him to fall into a temporary paralysis.
Zod immediately grabbed his head, aimed his eyes at Clark's, and fired heat vision.
Clark quickly recovered, promptly firing his own heat vision to counter it, and for a moment, the two were locked in a stalemate.
And their bodies continued to fall deeper into Jupiter.
Inside the spaceship, Dane had successfully captured all the Kryptonians. He was about to check on Clark's progress when he heard Cortana say in his ear:
"Dane, Clark and Zod have fallen into Jupiter. They're too deep; it's a place where sunlight can't reach."
It is well known that without the Sun, Kryptonians are like a rechargeable battery disconnected from its power source; once the charge runs out, they die.
If it were on other Planets, there might not be a problem; the energy stored by Kryptonians would be enough for them to leave that Planet.
But Jupiter is different, not only because of her immense gravity and harsh natural environment.
But also because of her powerful magnetic field, which causes Jupiter to constantly emit radioactive radiation that can kill all living things.
So Clark was constantly expending power in it, to combat the omnipresent danger.
Zod must have known this, but he still chose to do so.
Then he must have felt that in a normal duel, he might not be Clark's opponent.
Clark had indeed grown a lot in recent years, and Zod might not win against him in a fair fight.
But if both were pushed to a desperate situation, the more experienced Zod would likely have a greater chance of survival.
This man was ruthless to others, and ruthless to himself.
"Can you pinpoint their real-time location?"
Cortana gave him an affirmative answer: "Yes."
"Then let's go help him!"
Inside Jupiter, Clark and Zod had fallen into an area where hail and ammonia snow were falling, and frozen clouds were everywhere.
Their bodies were entangled, smashing through countless frozen clouds.
Zod laughed wildly: "Today, only one of us can live, Karl!"
Clark struggled to get up from the frozen clouds, Jupiter's immense gravity pressing down on them like a mountain.
"I will never die here!"
But Zod suddenly negotiated with him at this point: "Actually, there's another way for both of us to survive, Karl. As long as you give me the Codex, I can promise not to meddle with the Planet you currently live on."
"What Codex?"
"It's the Kryptonian gene bank. With it, we can rebuild Kryptonian and establish a great civilization once again."
Clark said gravely: "And then they will inherit your will, taking the conquest of other Worlds as their mission?"
Zod said lightly: "That is the law of survival in the Universe, Clark. I thought you knew that."
"Then let me see if you have the ability!"
A strange voice sounded from behind Zod, and he sharply turned his head.
A large hand magnified in his vision, then grabbed his head. A flash of teleportation light, and the two disappeared from the spot..
