Although human armies could deal with the Parademon Army, they were completely helpless against monsters like Doomsday.
The greatest achievement of all their weapons was merely injuring Doomsday's skin, and even that was quickly adapted to by the opponent, rendering the same attack completely ineffective the next time.
Therefore, in areas where Doomsday ran rampant, the war situation was completely one-sided, with humans retreating steadily. Even with the help of newly joined superheroes, they still couldn't change this decline.
Most superheroes were not much stronger than ordinary humans when facing a constantly evolving Kryptonian monster like Doomsday; they were equally powerless.
But to put it bluntly, although the human forces did not achieve very good results, they at least successfully stalled Doomsday, preventing them from spreading further and harming more areas.
Each city had at least several million people, and Doomsday didn't understand how to use large-scale attacks to clear the area. Moreover, this monster preferred to kill one by one, which was very inefficient.
But it also gave Batman ample time to prepare. By the time he arrived at the Batcave, Alfred had already prepared the weapon.
"Master Wayne, are you really sure you have to do this?"
Batman paused before saying, "Alfred, we've discussed this many times."
"But each time, your hesitation lasts longer than the last," Alfred said, revealing something Batman himself hadn't realized.
"I won't hesitate, at least not this time..." With that, Batman opened communication with Dane, "I'm ready."
"Cortana, Victor, act!"
Under Dane's command, the two electronic consciousnesses worked together, finally locating all the Doomsdays. No more, no less, exactly one thousand.
This also showed that the human side truly had no way to deal with these monsters, not causing even the slightest loss to these Doomsdays.
On the Gotham battlefield, Zatanna also received Dane's order and immediately informed Anthea: "Anthea, I'm troubling you again!"
If it weren't for the recent time manipulation using the dream stone, Cortana would have been able to complete the teleportation herself, but now she still had to rely on Anthea's Axis Force.
Anthea nodded, withdrawing her divine power from the Amazons' weapons and concentrating her strength.
The Axis Force was activated again, and the thousand marked targets were shared from Cortana's vision to Anthea's mind, allowing her to pinpoint the locations of all the Doomsdays.
Even for a god like her, moving a thousand targets was an extremely difficult task, but Anthea gritted her teeth and did it, not giving up even as the veins on her forehead bulged.
On such a battlefield, the last vestiges of their gods absolutely could not hold them back!
It wasn't just her who thought this; Hespera and Calypso felt the same.
So they also simultaneously withdrew their divine power, transmitting the recovered strength to Anthea, enhancing her power.
"Sister..."
"Anxi, keep going. Don't disgrace Father Atlas!" These were Hespera's words.
"Let these humans see why we are gods!" These were Calypso's words; her divine power was already showing signs of weakening, yet even so, she didn't forget to talk tough.
Anthea focused her attention. The Axis Force had never operated with such intensity as it did today. The surrounding space was entirely within her mind; orientation became a plaything in her grasp.
She plucked at the relative positions of space as if plucking a zither string, and a thousand Doomsdays instantly felt the scenery around them change; they were moving at a speed completely imperceptible to them.
It was obvious that these mindless Beasts wouldn't stay put, so many Doomsdays tried to break through their current positions.
But no matter which direction they tried to break out, they ended up either crashing into tall buildings or mountains, and then returning to their original locations.
After a few such seconds, when the Doomsdays came to their senses again, they were already on the battlefield in Gotham City.
An area had already been cleared for them, with only them inside, surrounded by a group of watchful warriors from various races.
"Batman, now!"
In the Batcave, Batman pressed the launch button, and an underwater gate opened in the artificial lake beside Wayne Manor.
A small Rocket flew out of the launch silo, soaring into the distance with a bright yellow tail flame.
This Rocket was very fast, quickly approaching the speed barrier of Mach 10 after entering the stratosphere.
So, in just a few minutes, it arrived at the concentrated battlefield of the Doomsdays, hovering above the heads of a thousand Doomsdays.
"He's not trying to blow us all up, is he?"
Green Lantern Hal was very suspicious; it sounded exactly like something Batman would do.
But Clark, with his X-ray vision, looked very puzzled: "I don't think so, because the amount of explosives loaded in that missile isn't much, but... why is there Kryptonite inside?"
Although the amount of Kryptonite was very small, probably only the size of a fingernail... Bruce intended to use this bit of Kryptonite to deal with Doomsday?
Clark was baffled, but he would soon understand its purpose.
The missile suddenly exploded in the sky, but as Clark had said earlier, it didn't contain much explosive, merely enough to blow open its casing.
It revealed the internal device and the fingernail-sized Kryptonite at its center.
Then the device quickly operated, several lasers shot onto the Kryptonite, and then reflected back onto the device.
Some illuminating devices around the apparatus lit up, causing it to suddenly emit a dazzling green light, like a green Sun hanging in the sky.
Hal almost thought it was the power of the Emotional Spectrum, but Superman, who was beside him, suddenly showed a very pained expression. Under the green light, he hunched over and collapsed.
"It's Kryptonite radiation!"
Not only him, but even the Doomsdays on the field rapidly weakened under this green light, only able to half-crouch on the ground, raging impotently at the green Sun in the sky.
"I've done what I can; the rest is up to you," Batman said to Dane.
This still surprised Dane. So he hadn't created a weapon of mass destruction after all?
He had thought Batman would make a super-large Kryptonite bomb to blow all the Doomsdays to the sky... 0
In fact, Batman had originally intended to do so, but there was a deep duality in his character.
On one hand, he suspected everyone, and therefore questioned everyone, always tending to think of the worst-case scenario.
But on the other hand, he would always leave a glimmer of hope when planning.
For example, in the famous "Tower of Babel" plan, among the plans Savage stole from Batman, not a single one targeting a superhero would result in the immediate Death of any Justice League member, proving that Batman subconsciously held back.
Otherwise, with his abilities, he could completely use his plans to instantly kill many superheroes.
This time was no different. Batman knew that a Kryptonite bomb would not only kill Doomsday but also very likely cause irreversible damage to Superman present, so at the last moment, he subconsciously showed mercy.
In the Batcave, Alfred's face was filled with relief, but Batman pretended not to see it.
He just said to Dane: "I have controlled the actions of these Doomsdays. I don't believe you don't have a contingency plan for this situation.
By the way, your Hell Supermax Prison seems to be the best place for these guys."
Ugh, I hate you smart people; you leave me with no secrets at all.
Dane's body returned to Gotham with the light of teleportation. He hadn't transformed back into Shazam yet, so almost no one knew who he was, only that he possessed an extremely indescribable aura of danger.
That was the deepest fear of Death itself for living beings; "God of Death Dane" was here.
As mentioned earlier, the Justice League members unanimously believed that the identity of Shazam should not be associated with Hell, so when Dane wanted to use the power of Hell, he would act as the God of Death.
Among the superheroes present were members of the Teen Titans; Katana was currently among them.
"It's My Lord!" she said, then bowed reverently to the figure in the sky.
Nightwing and Red Hood's expressions were subtle; although they couldn't penetrate the disguise of the confusion spell, they could somewhat guess that the guy in the sky must be related to Dane, possibly one of his alter egos.
After all, among Dane's known alter egos, besides the Lord of Hell, there was also the Dream God, so adding another shadowy figure didn't seem too strange.
Under everyone's gaze, Dane revealed the Key to Hell, using it to connect with his demonic power located in Hell.
A huge chasm suddenly opened at the feet of a thousand Doomsdays, with golden light at its edges.
This made Hal, Clark, and Wonder Woman recall the golden moon ring they had seen in Hell.
From the black area in the center, countless shadowy hands stretched out, densely grabbing the Doomsdays in the field and dragging them underground, which led to Hell.
With the "Sun" of Kryptonite radiation shining above and the demonic claws of Hell gripping them tightly below, even the utterly irrational Doomsdays felt despair.
They were just newborn children!
But under Dane's stony heart, they were gradually dragged into Hell by the "black hands."
When the last Doomsday disappeared underground, the chasm suddenly contracted, as if it had never appeared...
