Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: Immortal Name, Leisure and Freedom

"Dong dong dong!"

Who was knocking?

He still had two minutes until his alarm was set to go off.

Ryan covered his ears and pulled the blanket over his head.

Had Fischl returned? Was Oz acting as a woodpecker?

Amber wouldn't disturb his morning sleep.

"Wait!"

Ryan, who was about to fall back asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and glanced at the empty windowsill, and the wet streets outside after the rain.

"Yesterday's punishment?"

He kicked off the blanket, put on his long shirt, and went to open the door.

A Damselette with silver-gray hair, wearing her distinctive armor, bowed formally.

"According to Acting Grand Master Jean's instructions, I will supervise you, a dangerous individual, for a period of time."

"Breakfast is ready. What are your plans for today!"

Ryan scratched his hair, which was sticking up after sleeping, and stared at her for a while.

"Noelle, you came too early! There's no need to come to Amber's house to watch me!"

Indeed, yesterday, he had been expelled from the Training Field and could no longer train with other trainees.

So, he had nothing to do today.

He also had to accept Noelle's supervision and report his actions to the Knights of Favonius.

"Ryan, come on! Noelle made so many delicious things." Amber's voice came from not far away.

Ryan rubbed his nose.

It smells so good!

Perhaps, letting yesterday's battle be the end of his training career wasn't so bad.

While washing up, looking at the flowing clear water, a faint regret lingered in his heart.

He had left without a formal farewell to his Instructor.

The other party had always wanted to train him to be a Knights of Favonius, but he was destined to disappoint him.

The Nameless Instructor, so vivid in his memory, was one of the people who influenced his future the most deeply.

So, in a few days.

He would do one last thing to bring this to a close!

After washing his hands, he ate the breakfast Noelle had brought with Amber.

The breakfast was rich and plentiful, clearly considering his large appetite.

"Amber, you know?" Ryan put down his chopsticks and glanced at Noelle, who was holding Baron Bunny.

Baron Bunny looked surprised, with shock still lingering on his face.

It was truly difficult for a doll's fabric body to make such an expression.

It was like, 'You're that amazing?'

'Without a sound, you caused such a big stir?'

'When I fight Ryan next time, I won't be dismembered in one second, will I?'

"Um hmm~ Do you think I would be angry?" Amber stroked her chin, her face full of pride, "I am the most excellent Outrider, and the foreigner I brought back is naturally the most excellent."

"It's enough to prove how good my eyesight is!"

"Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, you can get the Wind Glider of the "Strange Bird"! Now, you can read some books about flying!"

"Once I teach you to become a flying master, you can accompany me as an Outrider for a few days, let me see you show off your skills in the wild."

"The youth who fell into Cider Lake and cried for help has finally grown up!"

"Baron Bunny and I are very pleased!"

No! No! No! I am not pleased.

Baron Bunny struggled, "I am irreconcilable with him."

How can there be anyone besides me, Baron Bunny, by the side of an Outrider who always acts alone?

Is he going to steal my kills? Steal my credit?

"Ah… Amber!" Ryan smiled, "Let me participate in a Knights selection! Let me fulfill my Instructor's dream. Although I can't wear the armor representing the Knights of Favonius, it won't be a wasted trip."

"I want to prove that he is Mondstadt's best Instructor! The most outstanding Favonius Bladework Legacy holder of the future will be trained by him."

Legendary poems should have heroic mentors, whose names are remembered and sung by all.

The artifact set should have a new Instructor, a model template for later generations to Crystalize their will.

I want his name to be immortalized in time.

"Okay! I'll inform you when Acting Grand Master Jean begins the selection for apprentice and official Knights!"

Amber readily agreed.

Speaking of the Knights selection, Noelle's movements paused.

Yes! The Knights selection was about to begin again!

She would continue to fail.

"Goodbye, Noelle, Ryan! I'm off to scout!" Amber strode out with her long legs, clad in red stockings and white boots, her chestnut hair reaching her waist, and the rabbit ears on her head trembling slightly.

She pushed open the door, waved goodbye, and enthusiastically embraced the new day's work.

"Senior Amber is still so energetic!" Noelle looked at Baron Bunny, who was eagerly chasing after her, his face full of anxiety, as if he felt his master had forgotten him.

Amber picked up Baron Bunny by the ears with one hand and held him in her arms.

"Let's go too! Let's just wander around Mondstadt!" Ryan decided to take a day off for himself.

No sword, no trouble.

No conflicts with people.

Lock the door, bring Mora.

Travel around Mondstadt by carriage.

Ryan's first stop was Mondstadt's Central Avenue, by the fountain in front of Good Hunter.

However, as soon as he got out of the carriage, Noelle was requested for help!

Alright! It was a bit disappointing, but the person was an old lady in need.

Respecting the elderly and loving the young, and helping others, were traditional virtues.

Ryan smiled.

"Noelle, it rained yesterday, and my roof is leaking! My old arms and legs, oh dear! I can't climb up at all! Can you help me?" The old lady extended her trembling hand.

"Okay! I'll go get the tools and new tiles right away!" Noelle immediately agreed.

"I'll come too!" Ryan offered to help.

Arriving at the residence, he leaped onto the second-floor balcony, then jumped onto the eaves of the adjacent building, and then crossed the street to the damaged part of the old lady's roof.

Clang, clang, clang, a burst of repairs.

From the house next door, a man poked his head out: "My house is leaking too, help me fix it!"

Ryan turned his head. He had hands and feet, was strong and healthy, and looked like an Adventurer. Why couldn't he do it himself?

"Are you paying?" He suppressed his anger.

"Ah? The Knights of Favonius are helping, and they're charging money now?" The man was greatly surprised.

"The Knights of Favonius are short-staffed and only help the old and weak. I'll give you the tools; climb up and fix it yourself!" Ryan and Noelle fixed the house, then handed the tools they had bought to the man.

He jumped directly onto the street and pulled Noelle away.

"You can't spoil people like that!"

"How much strength do you Knights of Favonius waste helping with chores every day!"

Noelle pondered.

"Is this what you mean by only helping those who need help? You don't charge money and are willing to help the old lady! But you're not willing to help that middle-aged man."

"Exactly! This is the Dao of a Knight!" Ryan didn't know what Acting Grand Master Jean meant by keeping Noelle by his side. Monitoring a dangerous individual, what a ridiculous reason!

There were already enough people watching him every day!

After thinking about it, when he went to his room to get Mora in the morning, he found a note on the window.

Ryan roughly understood the meaning of the words on it.

So, he would put it into practice and help Noelle one last time!

This time, whether she could pass the Knights of Favonius examination depended on whether Noelle's thinking could change!

Although he had already calmed his mind and left it up to Noelle.

But he had said he would instruct her three times, so he would instruct her three times!
