After some introductions, the four of them learned each other's names, and what Pietro had been up to since he left Sokovia.
After the mind control device was destroyed by Eller, Pietro fell into a dazed state, and in this state, he met Lockjaw, an emissary from the Inhumans.
Lockjaw is a large dog that looks like a giant bulldog, with the ability of psionic teleportation, but he is essentially still a human, just an Inhuman who accepted the Terrigen Mist and activated special genes.
The Inhumans are Earthlings modified by the alien civilization, the Kree. The Kree originally intended to turn them into biological weapons and deploy them on the battlefield, but later abandoned the idea for some reasons.
So the Inhumans remained on Earth and lived a secluded life, later even relocating to the Moon, where they established a city called Attilan on the dark side of the Moon.
However, some Earthlings have latent Inhuman genes, and certain individuals may awaken under special circumstances. Pietro was taken to the Moon after being mistaken for an Inhuman by those left on Earth by the Inhumans, and there he met the girl by his side.
The full name of the girl beside Pietro is Crystallia Amaquelin, Inhuman codename 'Crystal'. She is considered nobility within the Inhumans and doesn't look much older than Peter, but she should be an adult.
"So why did you leave that Moon city?" Eller asked Pietro in confusion, "It's probably not just because you wanted to find Wanda, right?"
"You're right," Pietro nodded, his gaze helplessly falling on Crystal.
"They want me to marry someone I really dislike!" Crystal said angrily, her face slightly flushed, and her fists clenched tightly.
"Stop, stop, little girl, calm down. Explain it clearly so we can help you," Wanda advised her future sister-in-law.
Pietro massaged his forehead and said, "Here's how it is: the Inhumans prioritize pure bloodlines, so they arrange marriages, saying that the purer the bloodline of the child, the fewer side effects there are after awakening their abilities."
"I see, inbreeding," Eller realized.
As an artificially created superhuman race, the Inhumans are not perfect; most of their people suffer from various side effects. Some cause physical deformities, while others can even transform a person into another animal.
Due to the existence of mutation side effects, the Inhumans began to advocate 'purity,' which refers to people with fewer side effects. When Pietro arrived at Attilan, he was almost recognized as royal offspring because of his good abilities and lack of deformities.
Crystal seems fine, but her own immune system is actually very weak, making her prone to various illnesses if she leaves Attilan.
"Yes, they want to marry me to my sister's husband's brother." A tear even streamed from the corner of Crystal's eye as she spoke, giving her a delicate, heartbroken appearance.
