Sabaody Islands
The terminus of the first half of the Grand Line, adjacent to the Red Line.
This special tree-covered island is formed from the world's largest Alpine mangroves. The roots of the Alchiman mangroves secrete unique bubbles, giving birth to the island's famed bubble culture.
From a thousand meters away, the colorful bubbles shimmered in the sunlight.
"Ah, there it is—the Sabaody Islands. Just as I thought, bubbles everywhere," Nami said excitedly, the refreshing sea breeze on her face as she gazed at the distant island.
"Speaking of Sabaody, the most interesting place has to be Sabaody Park," Vivi said nostalgically. "My father took me there once during the World Summit—it was really fun!"
"There are indeed many attractions here," Robin added, "but be careful—the mangrove zones from No. 1 to No. 30 are off-limits!"
"Do your homework in advance," she reminded.
"This doesn't matter! What about food? Are there any good restaurants here?" Bonney's eyes sparkled with anticipation. For foodies, delicious food is everything.
Robin pulled out a prepared list. "Yes, travelers have compiled a guide of Sabaody restaurants, along with recommended dishes!"
"Robin, what about shopping streets?" Nami asked.
"Got it!" Robin handed over a list of shopping districts. Nami and Vivi looked it over eagerly.
The bounty from the Hundred Regiments War had already arrived, and Sugisawa Yuuto had allocated 100 million Berry in spending money to the guild. Nami still carried nearly 2 billion in debt, but she wasn't planning to pay it off yet.
She had also witnessed Sugisawa Yuuto's generosity in Water City when he purchased a shop effortlessly, and now she wanted to feel the thrill of spending freely herself.
"Robin, any weapons stores?" Erza asked.
"There are, but probably not of exceptional quality," Robin replied, handing the info over.
"It doesn't matter," Erza said. Her purchases were guided more by preference than raw stats.
"Kalifa, what's wrong? You look worried!" Mirajane noticed her friend frowning.
"No," Kalifa quickly shook her head, trying to suppress her anxiety.
"Everyone, I've studied the Sabaody Islands, and there's a strict rule here," Kalifa said solemnly.
The girls leaned in, waiting for her warning.
"Because Sabaody borders the Red Line, Celestial Dragons—world nobles—occasionally come down from the sky. Remember, if you encounter them, do not provoke them!"
"World Noble Celestial Dragons?"
"Uh… what?"
"I have no idea," Juvia, Wendy, and Lilulu shook their heads.
"They're the worst scum in the world," Bonney muttered.
"The Celestial Dragons are descendants of the twenty kings who founded the World Government 800 years ago. They claim to be godly descendants and enjoy absolute privileges," Robin explained.
The mood aboard the ship darkened; even without seeing the Dragons, the girls already felt disdain for this entitled group.
"If they're such scumbags, why hasn't anyone commissioned us to confront them?" Erza asked.
"No one dares," Kalifa answered. "Even thinking about opposing them is considered a grave crime. If the government learns someone is plotting against the Celestial Dragons, the client faces disaster."
All eyes fell on Sugisawa Yuuto.
"It's okay. The most important thing is for everyone to have fun. Don't overthink it," he said with a calm smile.
"Yes~"
"Forget the Celestial Dragons—let's just enjoy ourselves!" Nami declared, and the gloomy mood evaporated.
The Sabaody Islands were now within reach.
Port Shore of Sabaody
"Wow… so dazzling! What is that?"
"Why is it shining like this?"
"That… that's gold! A huge golden clock tower!"
"No way… really a golden clock tower?"
"Fairy Tail! Sugisawa Yuuto of Fairy Tail is coming!"
Chaos erupted at the port.
"Damn, Fairy Tail isn't coming for me!"
"Could they have been hired to deal with me?"
"The ship isn't reinforced enough!"
"No matter! Escape is what matters!"
The pirates on the island panicked. The reputation of Fairy Tail, especially after the Hundred Regiments War, struck fear in anyone who dared to challenge them. The golden bell tower lost all appeal—the only thought was survival.
"Run already? I wanted to test my skills!" Erza shook her head, gripping her sword. Even without a commission, she couldn't ignore injustice.
"I'll go first!" Nami leaped to Sabaody, followed closely by Vivi, Wendy, and the others.
"The ground feels soft… so nice to step on!" Wendy remarked happily.
Karoo, the super-fast duck, soared above, popping bubbles with each flap.
"President, let me scout the guild!" Mirajane asked.
"No, Mira, go have fun with everyone!" Sugisawa Yuuto waved her off.
The upgraded guild ship had several new features:
Lock the ship: Once locked, no one without a Fairy Tail crest could board or cause damage.
"Alright, let's enjoy ourselves…" Sugisawa Yuuto started, but was interrupted by a distressed young man approaching.
"Fairy Tail! You must help me! My fiancée… has been taken! I'll pay anything!" he pleaded, offering a pile of coins.
"We don't accept emotional commissions," Robin said firmly.
"You need to improve yourself first!" Nami encouraged. The girls exchanged looks. This was a man betrayed by love, not a real threat. Fairy Tail wouldn't take such a trivial request.
"Wrong!" the man yelled. "Even if I become better, she will never come back. Once the Celestial Dragons have her, she's lost forever!"
"Who took her?" Sugisawa Yuuto asked.
"My…my God…Celestial Dragons!"
Kalifa froze. Her premonition before landing had come true. Trouble related to the Celestial Dragons had already arrived.
Sabaody Shopping District
In a popular women's clothing store:
"This, this, and these—all packed!" Nami exclaimed, filling her shopping bags.
Suddenly, chaos erupted outside.
"Why is everyone kneeling?" Perona asked.
"The Celestial Dragons are here!" the shopkeeper whispered, pale with fear, falling to her knees.
Outside, Celestial Dragons in bubble masks paraded atop slaves.
"Guests, hide! Beautiful girls have been taken already!" the shopkeeper warned.
But the Fairy Tail girls couldn't stay idle.
"Looks like those are the Celestial Dragons the client mentioned!" Robin noted.
"Since the president entrusted this to Kalifa, we can't just stand by!" Nami said.
"Right! Let's finish this commission fast and then go shopping!" Juvia cheered.
"Hey, Celestial Dragons! Release the girls you've taken!" Nami shouted, stepping forward.
Juvia, Robin, Perona, Vivi, and Mira followed. The kneeling crowd gasped in horror.
Char Ross, a Celestial Dragon, was initially stunned. But upon seeing the Fairy Tail girls, his face lit up with glee.
"These women are far prettier than the others I've seen! Guards, capture them all and bring them to Mariejois as my wives!"
Even gentle Mira felt a chill.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry!" Char Ross commanded his subordinates, brandishing a golden pistol and shooting a disobedient butler on the spot.
"This guy's even worse than I imagined!" Nami gritted her teeth.
At that moment, Sugisawa Yuuto's voice faintly reached her.
"Kalifa, now is your time to shine."
"Yes!" Kalifa's face drained of color. Her mind went blank.
Char Ross laughed, attempting to grab her.
"Don't touch me with your filthy hands, you pig!" Kalifa shouted, leaping up and delivering a powerful kick to the Celestial Dragon's head.
Wow…
The battle had begun.
