Chapter 96 - Chapter 96

World Noble Celestial Dragons.

Descendants of the twenty kings who established the World Government 800 years ago. They embody supremacy and enjoy every privilege the world can offer.

Kalifa had trained from childhood as part of CP9—the government's elite enforcement arm. Brainwashed by the World Government, obedience was absolute. The very purpose of her existence as a CP agent was to serve the government and protect the Celestial Dragons. Becoming CP9 was just the beginning; the true pinnacle was CP0—the ultimate shield of the Celestial Dragons. Kalifa had dedicated her life toward that goal.

As a CP agent, her mission should have been to safeguard the Celestial Dragons. Yet… her personal philosophy clashed fundamentally with this duty. Now, as a CP agent, she had accepted a mission to fight against the very Celestial Dragons she was meant to protect.

She had prayed not to encounter any of them in reality—but fate had other plans. The more she feared it, the more inevitable it became.

And now, the decisive moment had arrived. Sugisawa Yuuto's calm urging echoed in her mind, but the conflict between duty and mission erupted violently in her heart. Her thoughts blanked. She could barely think.

Then, the lecherous hand of Celestial Dragons Char Ross reached toward her. That final, obscene touch shattered the last remnants of her reason. She could no longer control herself. Instinct took over. Her long legs rose like battle axes—and crashed down upon Char Ross's head.

Snap!

The bubble helmet of Celestial Dragons Char Ross shattered instantly, a dent forming in the center of his skull.

Boom!

He collapsed, knees shattering on impact. His deadfish eyes bulged, blood gushing from his mouth. His tongue had been crushed between his teeth in a grotesque, self-inflicted fashion.

"Ah… zero… one… zero… aaahhh!"

The scream was horrifying—like an animal being slaughtered.

Celestial Dragons Char Ross was stunned, speechless. But his guards understood immediately:

"Bastard!"

"How dare you touch Charles Ross!"

"Do you know who stands before you?"

"Saint Charles Ross! One of the World Nobles!"

"You're finished! Not even God can save you!"

They lunged forward to restrain her.

Kalifa froze, her mind finally catching up to reality. She had struck a Celestial Dragon—with her own hands. Her face turned pale, bloodless. A wave of unprecedented despair and terror washed over her, like a boat caught in a merciless storm, heading straight for ruin.

Then, a large hand landed on her shoulder. Steady. Solid. Warm. A harbor in the storm.

"Are the Celestial Dragons gods? Gods of scum or pigs? Who made them gods?" Sugisawa Yuuto's voice rang calm and deadly.

His words struck like a lightning bolt.

"Eight hundred years ago… the Celestial Dragons were established…" the leader of the Celestial Dragon guards began.

Swish!

Yuuto's kick interrupted him.

Poof! Blood spurted.

Gululu! A head rolled across the cobblestones—Char Ross's severed head.

"The nobles of the world? To me, Celestial Dragons are nothing," Yuuto said softly.

His calm, commanding aura radiated over the street. Silence fell, a deathly hush.

Then the panic erupted.

"Ahhh!"

"World Nobles… Celestial Dragons… they've been killed!"

"Fairy Tail… killed a Celestial Dragon!"

"Five Emperors Sugisawa Yuuto… he actually did it!"

"Not good! An Admiral… the Marine Admiral is coming!"

Screams and chaos swept through the civilians kneeling on both sides of the street. Just the beating of a Celestial Dragon would have been disastrous—but death? Unthinkable.

"Charles… Charles Ross Saint!"

"He's dead! Killed!"

"This time it's really over… not just them, we're all doomed!"

"We failed to protect Sir Charles Ross… none of us will survive!"

"Please… let my family not be implicated…"

The Celestial Dragon guards were stricken, hearts heavy with fear and despair.

"If you don't want your family implicated… prepare to die!" the captain shouted, launching himself at Yuuto. For them, dying now seemed easier than facing the consequences later.

Yuuto ignored them completely.

"Hey, hey, hey!"

The White Ghost streaked past him, the dog-legged guard crushed under his speed. Instantly, all the guards collapsed helplessly.

"Hmm… I almost forgot. I should have let Perona use her Spirit Dragon Slayer magic first. Kissing him was too cheap." Yuuto mused.

"No matter, there will be plenty of chances later!"

Under Perona's spectral assault, the remaining guards quickly surrendered, leading Fairy Tail to recover the young woman from a noble family—kidnapped by Celestial Dragons Char Ross over the past two days.

"Don't be afraid… it's over now," Mira soothed, her smile gentle.

"You… are you Fairy Tail?" a girl asked weakly.

"Yes. One of your fiancés entrusted us with this mission," Nami replied.

"Fiancé?"

The three girls exchanged glances.

"I don't have a fiancé."

"Neither do I."

The third girl shook her head as well.

"Well…?" Vivi paused.

"Seems we should be grouped together," Robin said solemnly.

"What do you mean?" Juvia muttered, confused.

"The previous client… something was off. Maybe someone manipulated him to provoke conflict with the Celestial Dragons. The ultimate goal might have been to escalate tensions between us, the Marines, and the World Government," Robin deduced.

"In other words… use us as a pawn," Mira whispered, her face turning cold. "The Admiral… Marine Admiral will arrive, CP0 too… we must leave quickly…" Kalifa murmured.

"Don't be afraid, Kalifa," Nami said, patting her on the shoulder.

"What's the worry about the Marine Admiral? He's just the boss's subordinate!" Juvia added confidently.

"Compared to the Marines, I want to know who's orchestrating this in secret," Mirajan muttered, eyes gleaming with rage.

"Focus on other matters for now. Kalifa seems shaken—send her back to the guild to rest," Sugisawa Yuuto ordered.

Word of the Celestial Dragon's death spread like wildfire. Sabaody erupted into chaos.

"Insane! Absolutely insane!"

"Fairy Tail… a guild of madmen!"

"No one in their right mind would dare touch a Celestial Dragon, let alone kill one!"

"Not good! A Celestial Dragon is dead here… something terrible is coming!"

"The Marine Admiral will arrive! This place will become a battlefield! Little ones, flee!"

The pirates scattered, abandoning Sabaody in terror, fleeing by boat at the first opportunity.

"Captain, shouldn't we stay?"

"Stay? Why? We didn't kill the Celestial Dragons!" Cavendish said nonchalantly, as graceful as a woman.

"But the Celestial Dragons are dead… the Marine Admiral will come… everything will turn upside down!" the crew warned nervously.

"Turned upside down?" Cavendish frowned, intrigued. "So… killing a Celestial Dragon makes the news worldwide?" His eyes sparkled with excitement.

"No!" The crew shouted in despair. Chaos reigned.

In a quiet corner of the island, a phone buzzed.

"Master Doflamingo, Fairy Tail killed a Celestial Dragon. Mission accomplished!" a nervous man reported.

"Fufufu… killed it directly? Fairy Tail is crazier than I imagined!" Shichibukai Doflamingo laughed.

"Master… my family…"

Boom!

A sniper's bullet tore through the alley, shattering the man's head.

"Only the dead keep secrets," the sniper murmured.

Boom! Another head exploded.

Naval Headquarters, Marineford.

Beep! Beep! The alarm wailed.

"What?! What's going on?!" Marshal Sengoku bellowed.

"FAIRY TAIL KILLED A CELESTIAL DRAGON ON SABAODY ISLANDS!!!"

Sengoku slumped into his chair. He had felt uneasy when hearing about Fairy Tail's arrival, but he hadn't imagined the disaster that unfolded. The severity far exceeded his worst fears.

The Celestial Dragons enjoyed absolute privilege—including Marine protection. The Marines existed to shield them. Crimes committed by a Celestial Dragon went unpunished, and in life-or-death decisions, their survival was always prioritized.

Now… the worst had happened. One was dead. And the one responsible? The head of Fairy Tail himself.

The recent 10-billion-bounty exchange had established a tentative truce between Marines and Fairy Tail, a honeymoon period. All of that was gone. The world's balance shifted, and now, Marine and Fairy Tail were at odds with the highest authority.

Beep! Beep! The bug kept ringing—government pressure, Celestial Dragon families, all demanding retribution.

"Is there any solution? Any way to ease this?!" Sengoku groaned, slumping.

"Marshal Sengoku! The Five Elders ordered the Admirals to intervene—decide quickly!" green-haired Commodore Brandon urged.

"Who else is at headquarters?" Sengoku asked.

"Kuzan's on leave, Vice Admiral Garp's away, Sakazuki's in the New World. Only Admiral Kizaru is present."

Admiral Kizaru arrived promptly.

"Don't worry, Sengoku. I have Kuzan's life card. I can retrieve him immediately."

"You must go," Sengoku commanded.

Kizaru groaned. "…I just want a quiet 9-to-5. Fighting Fairy Tail? Deadly! Haven't you seen what happened last time with Kuzan?"

"Porusalino, I have no choice but to rely on you," Sengoku pressed.

Kizaru clutched his stomach. "Uh… give me a moment, my lunch disagrees with me…"

Sengoku's forehead twitched. Lazy donkey.

"I'll go, Marshal!" Kizaru yelled, disappearing.

Half an hour later…

"Porusalino! You've fallen in the latrine!" Sengoku roared.

"Almost… ready… now!" Kizaru's voice echoed. Another half hour passed before a Marine colonel reported that Saint Roswald of the Celestial Dragons was threatening to intervene. Flushing water sounds followed.

"Yeah, yeah, we're coming!"

Back on Sabaody… chaos reigned, but Fairy Tail was in full control.

"President!"

"Everyone!" Erza and Wendy flew down to the deck.

"What happened? I heard the president killed the Celestial Dragons!" Erza asked.

"The client this morning… and the full story," Mirajan explained quickly.

"I see," Erza nodded, calm and composed. "Are we leaving? Bonney and Urrutia should be near the Food Street, not this way."

"No," Juvia shook her head. "The president said we're finding someone. She might know who's behind this incident," Nami said.

"Who?" Wendy asked.

"Arrived," Sugisawa Yuuto said with a slight smile, eyes fixed ahead.
