The Land of Love, Passion, and Toys—Dressrosa.
Here, people and toys live together in harmony, painting a picture of peace and affection.
Living toys have become the nation's pride—its most distinctive feature—and business is thriving.
But…
Beneath this false peace lies a crimson shadow.
No one knows the truth—
That behind every smiling toy hides a once-living human soul.
Those turned into toys are unrecognizable to their loved ones.
A father can only watch his child from behind painted eyes, unable to speak or touch them.
And worse—
He must endure seeing another man take his wife… right before his eyes.
That kind of agony—suffering in silence, trapped in a body that can neither cry nor scream—
It's enough to drive anyone insane.
Eight o'clock in the morning.
The people of Dressrosa began their day as usual.
Then, suddenly—
A massive airship, marked "210," drifted above the kingdom, shattering the morning calm.
"Mom! Look! There's a ship flying in the sky!"
A child's excited voice rang out.
"Did I drink too much last night…? Since when do ships fly?"
A bleary-eyed drunkard rubbed at his eyes in disbelief.
And then—
"Ah!"
"Ahhhhhh!"
Screams echoed across the country.
"I recognize that flag! There's no mistake—!"
"That's the symbol of Fairy Tail!"
"The Fifth Emperor! The Fifth Emperor of the Sea is here!"
"What?! Why would one of the Sea Emperors come to Dressrosa!?"
"Don't panic! Fairy Tail's reputation is good—they're heroes! Maybe they're just visiting!"
"B-but I heard rumors… that Fairy Tail plans to attack Dressrosa!"
"That's impossible! Fairy Tail are people's heroes!"
"Doflamingo might be a Shichibukai, but he rules this nation well! Everyone here lives peacefully!"
"Who would attack us without reason?"
"Peacefully? You call this peace? Doflamingo's a tyrant!"
"You who live in the light know nothing of our suffering—the suffering of those turned into toys!"
"I'll never forgive Doflamingo!"
"Fairy Tail, crush the Donquixote Family!"
"Please, Fairy Tail—save us!"
The citizens living above in the light and the toys suffering below in darkness—
Each side prayed for different outcomes to Fairy Tail's arrival.
Dressrosa, Open-Air Café
A blond young man wearing a gentleman's top hat and goggles folded his newspaper slowly.
"Looks like they've finally arrived… Fairy Tail."
Sabo, Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, smiled faintly.
"Sabo, should we move too?"
The merman beside him—Haku—asked in a low voice.
"Not yet," Sabo replied calmly. "We'll observe Fairy Tail's movements first. If the chance arises, we'll assist."
"By the way," Haku tilted his head, "are we really the only two on this mission? I feel like we're missing someone."
"Missing someone?" Sabo chuckled. "No, it's just us. There's no third person."
"Hmm… maybe it's just my imagination," he muttered, shaking it off.
Meanwhile, inside the Royal Palace at the King's Plateau—
"Ahhh, damn it! Damn it! They're really here—Fairy Tail!"
A nasal, snot-nosed man named Trebol shouted angrily.
"And at the worst possible time! The Young Master isn't even in the country!"
Pica's shrill voice cracked in panic.
"What's Viola doing? Why haven't we gotten a report on Fairy Tail's movements yet?!"
shrieked Jora, her voice trembling with anxiety.
"It's impossible to win head-on," said Diamante, the top executive of the Donquixote Family.
"Torrebol, get underground and protect Sugar. Her ability is our only real weapon!"
Just then, Baby 5 burst into the room, her voice frantic.
"Lord Pica! Everyone! Fairy Tail's ship has already reached the palace!"
"What?!"
"So fast?!"
Royal Capital — Smile Factory
A woman in a blue suit walked toward the factory gates, a parasol twirling in her hand.
Her blue eyes glimmered coldly beneath the brim of her hat.
It was Juvia, of Fairy Tail.
Her gaze fixed on the man lounging nearby in a beach chair, dressed ridiculously in baby clothes and sucking a pacifier.
"Everyone, step back!" barked Senor Pink, the tough, stone-faced officer of the Donquixote Family.
"Kyaa~ Master Senor is so cool!"
"So manly!"
The nearby bikini-clad girls squealed, clutching their faces.
"You're one of Doflamingo's officers, aren't you?" Juvia said coldly.
"That's right, miss," Senor replied, getting up and stretching lazily. "You're Juvia of Fairy Tail—the water mage, right? I've heard of you."
He cracked his neck, grinning.
"Seems fate's brought us together. Let's see whose control over water is more authentic today!"
As soon as he finished, he dove forward in a perfect arc—
and disappeared into the ground.
Using the power of his Swim-Swim Fruit, Senor could liquefy any solid surface and move freely through it.
Juvia, however, already knew about his ability thanks to intelligence from Viola.
She didn't flinch.
When Senor emerged behind her to launch a sneak attack—
Crash!
A massive surge of water exploded from beneath Juvia's feet, spreading out in all directions to form a colossal Water Prison.
Senor, halfway through his ambush, was caught completely off guard—
and plunged straight into the swirling torrent.
Although the Swim-Swim Fruit allowed him to glide through any medium,
there was one thing it couldn't overcome—real water.
And once trapped inside Juvia's Water Prison… the result was obvious.
"It seems," Juvia said softly, lowering her parasol, "that your water technique falls short."
Senor's eyes rolled back as he lost consciousness, sinking beneath the surface.
Battlefield — Front of the Smile Factory
Juvia wins!
