Chapter 147 - Chapter 147

Wanokuni — the Island of Ghosts.

The King of Flame and the King of Thunder.

Two of the world's most powerful beings clashed in a battle that shook the heavens.

The sheer aftermath of their powers alone was enough to tear the Island of Ghosts apart.

But that wasn't even the worst part.

As fire and lightning raged across the battlefield, sparks ignited the hidden powder magazine beneath Onigashima.

Those bombs, crafted by Wanokuni's finest artisans, carried devastating power.

In the original timeline, during the battle between the two Kings of Onigashima, Law and Kid had joined forces to defeat Big Mom.

Yet even together, their strength paled before her might.

It was only thanks to the chain reaction from those same bombs that Big Mom was finally incapacitated — proof of just how terrifying they were.

The explosion of a single bomb was enough to destroy a mountain.

Now, the entire stockpile had gone off at once — right in the middle of Sugisawa Yuuto and Kaido's ultimate clash.

At this moment, even an Admiral stepping onto that battlefield would have their skin peeled off from the sheer shockwave.

RUMBLE!!!

The earth-shattering explosion echoed across Wanokuni.

CRASH!!!

Tsunamis erupted in the inland sea, waves towering thousands of meters high.

KA—KA—KA!

Cracks spread across the outer wall of Wanokuni — the wall that had stood for over 800 years.

"Ahhh!"

"What's happening?!"

"What the hell is going on?!"

"Is this… the end of the world?!"

"It's over! Wanokuni is finished!"

All across the country, terrified screams filled the air.

The Flower Capital

"Ahahaha! Sister Oiran, look at the fireworks! Aren't they beautiful?"

The cheerful little girl Toko laughed innocently, pointing toward the rising flames.

"That direction… it's Onigashima…"

Oiran Komurasaki — her true identity, Kozuki Hiyori — turned pale.

"Princess!"

Denjiro burst into the room, his expression grave and breathless.

"It's confirmed! Fairy Tail has landed in Wanokuni — and this explosion must be their doing!"

"Can they win? Fairy Tail…"

Hiyori's small hands clenched into trembling fists.

"I don't know."

Denjiro's voice was heavy.

From the newspapers, he had learned that Fairy Tail was an elite team — small in number, but each member terrifyingly strong.

Yet compared to the 10,000 soldiers under Kurozumi Orochi's command, and the additional armies gathered on Onigashima — at least 20,000 men — it seemed impossible.

Not to mention the monstrous presence of the Four Emperor Kaido himself.

The Island of Ghosts was, without question, the most dangerous place in the world.

No small team could possibly take it down…

And yet—

As Denjiro stared at the towering mushroom cloud rising over Onigashima, a spark of hope flickered in his chest.

Maybe… just maybe, Fairy Tail had done it.

Maybe they had truly brought down the Beasts Pirates.

The light flared one last time—

Then, silence.

The sea calmed.

The storm faded.

The sun broke through the clouds once more.

Onigashima — the stronghold of the Beasts Pirates — was gone.

Sea Circle Calendar, Year 1520 — Wanokuni, New World.

The Beasts Pirates, led by the Four Emperor Kaido, had been utterly defeated.

The victors — Fairy Tail!

"Yeah!!!"

"Awesome!!!"

"The President did it!"

"We won!"

"It's Fairy Tail's victory!"

Nami, Vivi, Wendy, Perona, and the other girls cheered and high-fived, tears of joy streaming down their faces.

"The explosive shackles are gone… I— I'm free?"

Yamato stared at his wrists in disbelief.

"Believe it, Yamato," Ace said, struggling to contain his excitement. "You're free. Not just you — this entire country is free!"

"It's all thanks to President Sugisawa Yuuto and Fairy Tail!"

Sabo's voice trembled with awe.

Before the war began, both he and Ace had sworn to fight with all their strength, to prove their worth.

But in the end…

They never even got the chance.

The Beasts Pirates' officers were completely overwhelmed by the Fairy Tail girls.

And Kaido — the mighty Four Emperor himself — had fallen to Sugisawa Yuuto alone.

"President Sugisawa is incredible. He even defeated Kaido! He really is the strongest creature alive!"

Koala's voice was filled with admiration, echoed by the rest of the crew.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind split the air as a figure descended from the sky, landing gracefully on Fairy Tail's deck.

"Eluza!"

"Eluza, are you okay?!"

"As expected of you, Erza — what a stunning victory!"

Nami and the others rushed forward, smiling brightly.

But this time…

Erza only gave a bitter smile and shook her head.

"President… I'm sorry. I couldn't finish off the Flame Calamity. He escaped."

"What?"

The cheers quieted instantly.

Until now, no matter the opponent — even Admirals of the World Government — Erza had never failed.

The second-in-command of a Four Emperor crew was no easy foe, but even so… everyone believed she'd win.

And yet, for the first time, Erza had been forced to retreat.

"That guy's ability is strange," she explained. "When the flames on his body are burning, no attack can hurt him…"

During her battle with the Flame Calamity, Erza had finally understood the secret of the Lunarian race — their fire was the source of their unmatched defense.

But even knowing that, breaking through it was another matter entirely.

Especially once the Calamity switched from offense to defense, conserving his flames.

Erza had been preparing for a drawn-out fight to wear him down—

Until the explosion at Onigashima interrupted everything.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it."

Sugisawa Yuuto smiled and gently patted Erza's head.

"There'll be another chance to fight him again."

It wasn't just about Erza and the Flame Calamity.

Even Yuuto and Kaido's duel had ended unfinished.

Though the Beasts Pirates were defeated, Kaido himself still lived.

The massive explosion had disrupted their battle, preventing a final conclusion.

In the end, Sugisawa Yuuto had only managed to sever one of Kaido's arms.

But that didn't bother him.

Anyone defeated by his hand once was no longer a true opponent.

If Kaido could be beaten once, he could be beaten again — and the next time, there would be no contest.

Because by then, Sugisawa Yuuto would be even stronger.

"Alright," he said calmly, turning toward the horizon.

"Let's move. It's time to finish the rest of our mission."
