The Golden City
Gran Tesoro.
Known across the seas as the largest entertainment city in the world—
and recognized as an independent nation by the World Government—
it is a dazzling metropolis of gold, wealth, and indulgence.
Its master is Gild Tesoro, the self-proclaimed Golden Emperor,
a man wielding the power of the Paramecia-type Gold-Gold Fruit.
Tesoro wasn't born into privilege.
In fact, his childhood was a pit of misery—
his father a hopeless gambler,
his mother filled with resentment toward him.
At sixteen, he met the girl who would become his destined love.
But no matter how desperately he tried,
he could not change his fate.
The girl he loved was purchased by the Celestial Dragons,
and he himself was taken as one of their slaves.
Only sixteen years ago, when the fish-man hero Fisher Tiger attacked Mariejois,
did Tesoro finally regain his freedom.
From that moment on, everything about him changed.
The trauma of his past twisted into obsession—
an obsession with money.
He made his first grand move at an underground auction hosted by the Donquixote Family,
where he stole the rare Gold-Gold Fruit right out from under Doflamingo's nose.
With his new power, Tesoro's strength and influence skyrocketed.
He carved out a name for himself in the dark world,
and by the time the Donquixote Family realized what had happened,
Tesoro had already become a force to be reckoned with.
Even Doflamingo had to set aside old grudges and partner with him.
In just ten years, Gild Tesoro had risen from a penniless slave
to one of the richest men alive—
a man said to control one-fifth of the world's total wealth.
He didn't just build the world's largest entertainment city;
he also held countless industries across the seas in his gilded grasp.
Both the light and the dark bent to his will.
Even the World Government could be swayed by the power of his money.
In the underworld, he reigned as the Golden Emperor,
the man who ruled the darkness with his wealth.
And now, with the Donquixote Family's downfall,
Tesoro had swallowed up their remaining assets,
growing stronger and bolder than ever before.
"Money is everything.
Those without it… are destined to be ruled by it."
Inside his towering golden skyscraper,
Gild Tesoro stood before a panoramic window,
a glass of red wine in hand,
his lips curled in a confident, feral smile
as he looked down upon his shining city below.
After inheriting the Donquixote Family's assets,
his ambition had swelled to unprecedented heights.
He didn't just want wealth.
He wanted dominion—
to become the sole emperor of the underworld.
If he succeeded, he would wield enough power
to challenge even the World Government itself.
And then… the Celestial Dragons who had once destroyed his life,
who had taken Stella from him—
would finally pay the price.
But just as Tesoro was lost in his dream of ruling the golden world—
a ripple spread across the golden floor.
A strange, big-headed man emerged from it,
panic written all over his face.
"Lord Tesoro! Something's wrong! It's… it's the demon—Fairy Tail is here!!!"
It was Tanaka, a man with the Paramecia-type Phase-Phase Fruit.
"Nani?!"
Tesoro's smile vanished instantly.
"Fairy Tail? You're sure?"
His voice trembled slightly.
Gone was the confidence and arrogance—
only shock and fear remained.
Of course, Gild Tesoro knew who Fairy Tail was.
Back when their guild was still active in the first half of Paradise,
he had considered recruiting them with money.
But before he could make a move,
a chain of chaotic world-shaking events unfolded.
Fairy Tail had become a thorn in the World Government's side—
and now, under Sugisawa Yuuto's leadership,
they stood among the Four Emperors of the sea,
having even defeated the Beast Pirates.
Even Tesoro—who believed money could buy anything—
knew better than to think Fairy Tail could be bought.
If he handled this poorly, he could easily bring disaster upon himself.
After all, Fairy Tail had become heroes of the seas,
defenders of the oppressed and the powerless.
And Tesoro's empire…
was built upon deceit, exploitation, and greed.
"What's meant to come… has finally come," Tesoro muttered, clenching his fists.
"Lord Tesoro, what should we do?"
asked Baccarat, the dark-skinned woman in a crimson slit gown,
sweat dripping down her forehead.
"When I was broken and powerless, they didn't appear," Tesoro hissed.
"Now that I've built my empire and reached the peak,
how can I let them destroy everything I've achieved so easily?"
Bang!
The wine glass shattered in his hand.
"Even if they are one of the Four Emperors,
I'll make them understand—this Gran Tesoro is not theirs to command!
Tanaka, go. Bring me that guest."
"Yes, Lord Tesoro!" Tanaka vanished into the golden floor.
Golden City — The Bar District
Inside one of the city's many luxurious bars,
a man with messy orange hair sat alone at the counter,
nursing his drink with a distant look.
"Na~ na~ Uncle, what's wrong?"
"Why not join us for a drink?"
A group of beautiful women approached gracefully,
their figures alluring, their dresses shimmering under the golden lights.
For a moment, the man's eyes lit up—
but then he sighed softly and shook his head.
"I'd better not," he said with a faint smile. "I already have a daughter."
This was Gildarts,
who turned his gaze toward a lively table nearby.
There, a young girl with a small satchel
was boldly competing in a drinking contest against a group of burly men.
"No more, I'm done!"
"Same here… I can't drink another drop!"
"I give up… this girl's insane!"
"Hahaha! That's all you've got? Next!"
Kana laughed loudly, standing on her stool,
challenging the next opponent with fiery spirit.
At that moment, the big-headed man, Tanaka, emerged from the bar floor.
"Mr. Gildarts! Lord Tesoro sends his regards!"
Tanaka bowed politely. "Are you satisfied with your stay here? If there's anything lacking, please say so—we'll fix it immediately!"
"Everything's great," Gildarts replied with an easy wave.
After the Hive Island incident,
he had received an invitation from the Golden City itself.
Since he'd come to this world with his daughter,
he'd decided to accept Tesoro's offer—
a rare opportunity to relax and spend time with her.
"But…" Tanaka hesitated, rubbing his hands nervously.
"But what?" Gildarts asked, already sensing trouble.
"Actually, there's been… a small situation."
"Go on," Gildarts said calmly. He wasn't the type to refuse a reasonable request,
as long as it didn't cross his principles.
"Just now," Tanaka began, "the Fairy Tail Guild—
the new Four Emperors—arrived in the city.
Lord Tesoro fears they may cause chaos,
so he asks that you… help keep order."
Gildarts frowned slightly, then smiled.
"No problem. Leave it to me."
The gears of fate began to turn once more—
and in the golden heart of the world,
another storm was about to begin.
