Like a storm of dark magic unleashed, countless black energy blades spiralled through the air, slicing across the monstrous horde.
Sparks scattered like rain as one beast after another froze mid-movement, collapsing and exploding under the assault of the black blades.
While those dark orbs continued their autonomous onslaught, Tiga raised one hand toward the sky above Belial.
Instantly, the purple mist surrounding Belial seemed to break free from his control, drifting toward Tiga. It turned into a steady stream of violet energy, flowing endlessly into the colour timer on Tiga's chest.
"What are you doing?!"
Belial panicked, trying to halt the flow — but it was useless. The purple energy no longer obeyed him. It was tearing itself from his body, forcefully drawn toward Tiga.
"Ugh… A-ahhhh!!"
Belial clutched his head, writhing on the ground in pain — a torment as if his very soul were being peeled away, layer by layer.
The agony was unbearable. His body convulsed violently, rolling across the ground.
Then, a ghostly image of Belial's soul emerged from within his body — and to everyone's shock, that soul began to split in two.
One was Belial himself, his spirit glowing in alternating silver and red hues. The other was a Reiblood — the being whose essence had long corrupted Belial.
Their souls had coexisted within a single body, but now, under Tiga's power, they separated. Belial's true soul remained intact, while the Reiblood's spirit gradually turned into violet energy — which Tiga absorbed.
"My God…"
Inside the Global United Conference hall, one of the Japanese representatives — Masayuki Gotou, Belial's original creator — gasped audibly.
From Belial's first appearance to his tragic end, he had never been given a happy fate.
Even in Ultraman Z, Belial's head had become a weapon — the Beliarok, symbol of his twilight.
Gotou had never paid it much mind; after all, it was just fiction. But now, that fiction had bled into reality — and guilt gripped his heart.
Belial… was a pitiable soul.
The scripts had condemned him, but none had ever sought to destroy the Reiblood's evil essence within him.
And now, it was happening before their eyes — Reiblood's spirit was being consumed by Tiga!
"This… Is this Dark Tiga's ability to absorb darkness?"
Gotou turned toward Hasegawa, his voice trembling.
"Dark Tiga can indeed absorb dark energy," Hasegawa nodded slowly. "But I never imagined he'd use it… like this."
Belial's writhing ceased. The violet mist dissipated along with the Reiblood's vanishing spirit, leaving his body motionless.
All around them, the rampaging monsters froze in place, as if their minds had been wiped clean.
Tiga's eyes glimmered faintly. He walked toward Belial, lifted the Ultimate Battle Device, and raised it high.
Electric arcs burst from the weapon, scattering wildly in all directions.
"Tiga…"
Camearra stood at a distance, staring blankly at the silver-black giant.
The strongest warrior of the Ultra-Ancient Darkness… had truly returned.
But then — the lightning unleashed from the Battle Device shot toward the one remaining safe zone: the area where the surviving humans had gathered, the same people Yu Zhou had rescued in his Shining form.
Now, however, Tiga's body held no trace of Yu Zhou's consciousness.
Only darkness — endless, uncontrollable darkness.
"NOOO!!"
"Help us!"
"Run!! Everyone, run!"
"Hide! Quickly, hide!!"
Screams filled the ruined city as the surviving humans watched lightning crash down upon them, reducing shattered buildings to blackened rubble.
"What… what's happening?!"
The representatives watching the live broadcast were struck dumb.
The one who saved the world — Tiga — was now attacking humanity!
"He's fallen into darkness…"
Gotou clenched his fists, helpless.
In The Final Odyssey, Daigo once dreamed of becoming Dark Tiga — and even in that illusion, he had killed an innocent girl.
By Hasegawa's original script, once Tiga embraced darkness, his consciousness would become uncontrollable.
Because the Dark Giants were not mere heroes — they were warriors born of ancient shadows.
"Could it be… Tiga will become our greatest enemy?!"
The dreadful thought rippled through everyone's mind.
If Tiga himself became the enemy… who could possibly stop him?
As lightning poured from the heavens, a black steel claw suddenly shot out from nowhere, stabbing toward Tiga's back!
"Look out!"
In that instant, Camearra transformed into a streak of golden light, throwing herself in front of the attack. Her radiant whip lashed out to deflect the claw—
But the claw twisted unnaturally, bypassing her counterattack.
It pierced straight through Camearra's chest, through her colour timer, and emerged from her back.
"No…!"
Daigo — watching through the connection of light — froze in disbelief.
Camearra… had been impaled.
Tiga turned, eyes widening as he saw her body trembling.
"Ti… Tiga…"
Camearra's voice was faint. She fell to the ground, her golden whip slipping from her grasp. The black claw retracted, leaving a gaping hole where her colour timer once shone.
Tiga stood motionless, staring down at her. Deep within the darkness of his being, Yu Zhou's true consciousness surged back, tearing through the shadow.
"CAMEARRAAAAA!!!!!"
At that cry, Yu Zhou's will seize control once more. He knelt beside Camearra's fading body, trembling as he held her close, roaring in grief.
"Camearra…"
Though he could not shed tears, his glowing red eyes trembled as he watched her dissolve into golden light particles, scattering like dust upon the wind.
His hands still clutched the empty air where she had been.
Then, his eyes — once white — turned blood red.
He lifted his gaze toward the sky, locking onto the fleeing shadow of Dark Lugiel, the wielder of that black steel claw.
Without hesitation, Yu Zhou grasped the Ultimate Battle Device and leapt into the air, vanishing from sight.
In the next instant, he reappeared above Dark Lugiel's head — and brought the weapon crashing down with divine fury.
Dark Lugiel raised his Dark Spark Lance to block —
Crack!
The treasured weapon shattered instantly.
The force of Yu Zhou's blow didn't stop there; it slammed straight into Lugiel's skull, driving him into the earth like a meteor. The ground split apart in a web of cracks.
But Yu Zhou's rage was far from spent.
He descended upon the fallen Lugiel, swinging the Ultimate Battle Device again and again — until his movements blurred into a storm of afterimages.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Each strike tore deeper into Lugiel's armour, reducing it to fragments. His limbs twisted and broke, one after another, beneath the relentless assault.
And still, Yu Zhou did not stop.
