After recalling Golza, Yu Zhou released another monster—one he confirmed had been subjugated within the Realm of Darkness.
This time, it was Silvergon, its body etched with dark markings that pulsed faintly.
After hearing Yu Zhou's question, Silvergon let out a series of guttural growls and hisses in its beastly tongue.
"This Silvergon says… the darkness in that realm originates from that lord,"
translated Charija, floating nearby.
"That lord?!"
Hearing those words, an image flashed in Yu Zhou's mind—Captain Zoffy.
"…It can't be…" he muttered.
Silvergon growled again, continuing its incomprehensible noises.
"Silvergon says that lord is the source of all darkness,"
Charija interpreted,
"He granted the monsters of the Dark Realm their power."
"Then what's his name?" Yu Zhou asked.
Silvergon rumbled again.
"My master, I don't know what this fat guy dressed in black is called—???"
Charija froze mid-translation, then exploded in anger.
"You're calling me fat?! You're the fat one! Your whole family's fat! My master is asking what that lord's name is!"
Yu Zhou: "…"
This Silvergon… clearly wasn't the brightest.
Silvergon made another series of growls.
"It says it doesn't know the name either—but all the monsters call him the King of Darkness,"
Charija translated while glaring at the insolent creature.
"So, it is the King of Darkness…" Yu Zhou murmured. His earlier suspicion was confirmed.
Somewhere deep within the Dark Realm, the King of Darkness likely slumbered. Whether he had awakened or not, Yu Zhou could not tell.
When asked further, Silvergon confessed it didn't know either—but it could feel a dark will urging it to leave the Dark Realm and destroy the flourishing civilization of humankind.
"The will of darkness…?"
Yu Zhou frowned slightly. He hadn't expected the darkness to have such an influence on monsters.
Could this be similar to the power the Reibloods possessed—the ability to manipulate other creatures?
Still, Charija's monster capsules also allowed him to control beasts, so perhaps it wasn't too unusual.
From Silvergon's words, that dark will didn't have full control—only influence.
If it could completely dominate the monsters, Yu Zhou wouldn't have been able to make them submit so easily.
After recalling Silvergon back into the Giga Battlenizer, Yu Zhou was about to cancel his transformation—when Charija called out.
"Wait! That black stick of yours— isn't that Belial's Giga Battlenizer?"
Charija leaned in, eyes shining with greedy excitement as he examined the device in Yu Zhou's hand.
He had heard about it from Yu Zhou during their first meeting and had been obsessed with it ever since. Later, he even saw one in Belial's hands—but ended up being beaten half to death instead.
Since then, he'd never had another chance to touch one.
And now, Yu Zhou actually had it!
"Where did you get this thing? Can you get me one too?" Charija asked eagerly, stroking the device like a treasure.
"I stole it from Belial," Yu Zhou said with a grin. "But only beings with Reiblood's dark energy can use it to control monsters."
Charija's face twitched. "And you have that kind of power?"
"Of course. I stole that from Belial too."
"…Fair enough." Charija sighed in disappointment.
If only he had Reiblood abilities, he too could wield such an artifact.
The ability to absorb darkness—something Dark Tiga could do—but Charija could not.
After leaving the mountain, Yu Zhou and Charija spoke briefly before parting ways.
Charija wanted to return to the Hunter's Tavern for one last good meal before heading back to the future, while Yu Zhou needed to return to R'lyeh.
The world hadn't yet fallen into chaos, so Charija could safely linger a bit longer.
Meanwhile, inside Keshiva's office at his mansion—
"Princess Yuzare, may I ask what brings you to see me?" Keshiva inquired politely, seated across from her.
"Keshiva," Yuzare replied with a gentle smile, not minding his formality.
"You are the most brilliant scientist on Earth—your inventions are countless, and my father himself has honoured you for your contributions."
"Princess Yuzare," Keshiva said with a chuckle, waving his hand, "we're well acquainted by now. No need for pleasantries—just say it directly."
"Then I'll be frank." Yuzare's tone grew serious.
"I learned from Tiga how to transform into a giant of light."
Keshiva's eyes lit up instantly.
The method to transform into a giant—that was something he'd been researching ever since witnessing Tiga's transformation firsthand.
He'd even built a Mechanical Tiga, hoping a man-made version could battle threats.
But after multiple tests, its strength was nowhere near Tiga's, and its limited movement made it unsuitable for real combat.
Still, he had kept it stored as a backup weapon beneath R'lyeh's research facility.
Now, hearing that Yuzare had learned the method directly from Tiga himself—
He wouldn't need a mechanical replica anymore!
Humans could transform directly!
And their power would far surpass any machine!
"I'm all ears," Keshiva said, trying his best to restrain his excitement.
"The most crucial element," Yuzare explained, "is the Plasma Spark."
Keshiva frowned slightly. "Plasma Spark…? I know what plasma is—but what exactly is a Plasma Spark?"
"With the light of the Plasma Spark," Yuzare said softly, "humans can evolve—becoming giants of light."
Her words left Keshiva stunned, his eyes wide with disbelief.
