Chapter 43 - Fund Please~!

On the super fluffy bed inside the bedroom of Seraphina, the owner of the room is currently kicking her legs with excitement as she lies on her stomach with her plushies of various animals surrounding her while she unrolls the letter from Zarba after she stores the 69 insignia wax seal of the prince safely in the jewelry box.

"To Lady Seraphina Bubba Bastari, I have received your letter from your friend Helga and am very thankful for your concern and warning letter about the dangers ahead of my journey…" Seraphina read the letter aloud with sparkling eyes as she deluded herself into thinking that the prince was giving her a charming smile as he held her hand while saying what she was reading.

"The truth is I am very well prepared for the possible dangers that I might encounter ahead as well as the existence of my powerful companions that accompany me on this journey, so you don't have to worry too much about my well-being, but your kindness is still touching me even though we never talk with each other properly. I would like to thank and talk with you in person when the circumstances permit, but I don't know how long that will be…" Seraphina continues to read the letter with a smile until her smile turns sad, as she also doesn't know how long it will be before they can actually meet each other in person.

"Regardless, it is nice to be able to exchange letters with you, my lady. I hope that the day when we can finally meet in person will come true sooner than we think. Your prince, Zarba Altra Zigma—kyaaaaaaa~!" Seraphina finished reading the letter with a delighted squeal as she rolled around on her bed all over her plushies while holding the letter to her ample chest, grinning like an idiot.

"Ehehehehe~, Prince Zarba wants to meet me~." Seraphina was smiling ear to ear as she lay on her back while looking at the letter before she reread it again and squealed in delight again.

"Ahh~, I couldn't wait for when we would finally meet, my prince~." She hugged the letter on her chest while daydreaming about Zarba as she fantasized about how they would meet each other.

And when Seraphina was absentmindedly staring at the ceiling, another letter flew inside her room from the window and smacked into her face, making her dream bubble pop.

"Mhnn~, what is it this time…?" Seraphina felt annoyed as her daydream was interrupted. She quickly sits up as she grabs the letter on her face.

"Oh, it's from Helga…!" Seraphina said after she looked at the simple folded letter before she opened it up and looked at the message inside.

"I'm waiting for my coins. Pay up, Sera, your only friend, Helga… P.S. I also have quite a bit of juicy information about your prince I'm sure you want to hear…" Seraphina was reading out loud as her curiosity was instantly aroused by Helga's message.

"What could it be…?" She mumbled, not realizing that the info that Helga is about to share with her is going to make her feel a murderous intent for the first time in her life…

In the morning on the road inside the Great Zasa jungle, the carriage of Zarba is moving once again at a moderate speed along with the Zar-Bros riding on the illusion-enchanted mounts as they finally resume travel after the Zar-Bros gathered enough supplies. What they have right now should last them at least enough for a week, even with the additional one extra mouth to feed.

Inside the carriage Zarba could be seen sitting next to the window while he looked outside as the thick yellow of the jungle passed by his sight. Around his exposed skin there are some traces of faint red lines and bruises from last night's passionate lovemaking with his two slaves.

Next to Zarba is Xin, who is sleeping soundly, hugging her body pillow in her white pajamas with some kiss marks that could be seen around her neck, and next to her is Nadia, who is looking tired and sleepy as she reclines against the backrest. Her state is not that much different from Xin's, as some kiss marks and bruises could be seen on her skin as well. If not for the contraceptive spell, the two of them would have already been pregnant by now with how much they did it.

But alas, the unfortunate one here is Mormon, who has to sleep outside since she is not so nonchalant that she can sleep through the carnage inside the carriage last night, where the three of them were smashing and painting the place with their juices. The goblin girl is still amazed that they did it all night until dawn.

Right now Mormon is also inside the carriage with the trio after the interior has been cleaned vigorously by the Pro-Maids, as she is currently reading some books from a stash of Xin's luggage; most of them are dubious smut, but there are also some normal books in there as well.

"I can't believe it; the tunnel of space and time had actually sent me to the future, a thousand years later?" Mormon scratches her head with a surprised and apprehensive expression while she is reading a thick book of records of historical events.

"This is fascinating but also so inconvenient for me…" The goblin girl purses her lips as everything she knows is gone now; it might as well be a different world to the ancient magician.

Hearing Mormon talking to herself, Zarba turned his gaze away from the scenery outside as he looked at the goblin girl he recently picked up lying on her stomach on the table with a cushion under her chin while she turned a page of the book she was reading.

To be honest, Zarba didn't expect to find her this soon. This goblin girl was supposed to open her shop in some town before the protagonist stumbled upon her and ended up recruiting her after he took care of the slave and citizens' revolts in the original timeline. She is supposed to play the role of a merchant that would sell both essential and miscellaneous items to the player while offering insight and even solving a magical difficulty that the protagonist will face in the future for him.

"So you are from that long ago, huh?" Zarba mused, watching Mormon's claws trace the pages on the book. The goblin girl exhaled as she turned onto her back, her small frame sinking into the cushion.

"That's right. I used to be one of the most powerful magicians of my era, you know? Now? Just an odd goblin with no magic. Ahh~, what a tragedy…" She kicked her legs petulantly as she raised the book high above her with a pout. The fact that she can't use magic is the most unfortunate and disappointing thing about her new life.

"From what I could see, you're adjusting remarkably well for someone who just found herself a millennium later, though." Zarba chuckled, watching Mormon roll her eyes dramatically. She snapped the book shut with a thud, her pointed ears twitching cutely.

"Well, what can I do? Cry about it? Kill myself—waah!?" Mormon snorted, tossing the book aside as the carriage jostled over a fallen tree branch, making her small body bounce momentarily before she panickily caught herself from falling off the table under Zarba's amused gaze.

"B-Besides," Mormon added after she quickly calmed down from embarrassing herself with a sly grin that didn't match her youthful face. "I actually managed to cheat death and extend my life span—though not in the way I expected..."

She then looked down at her diminutive goblin form with a slight grimace. "It's still a win in my book, I guess…?"

"And what about you? Where are you going? I mean, what's your destination?" Mormon asked, stretching her legs out as she rolled onto her side, propping her head up with one hand. Her big blue eyes flicked between Zarba and the sleeping women beside him—one mumbling slightly on her pillow, the other adjusting her body occasionally, trying to get some sleep.

"There's a city of fortune called Dewendy in the far west, a place where money talks louder than anything else and you can live very well if you have a lot of money. I am currently migrating there to start a new life; my old life is not really appealing at all, so I just moved to a new place." Zarba replied with a smile as he watched Mormon's pointed ears perk up at the mention of the city of fortune.

"Interesting, maybe I could..." Mormon imagines herself starting some kind of business there as she glances at Zarba with expectations.

"..." Seeing the expectant looks in the goblin girl's eyes, Zarba feels like he is just shooting himself in the foot.

"Alright, alright, I'll sponsor your business if you actually think up something that might be profitable…" Zarba sighed as the goblin girl suddenly jumped down from the table and ran up to him before she jumped up on his lap as she hugged him.

"Thank you, my savior! I'll be eternally in your debt!" Mormon cried out in delight as she rubbed her face on Zarba's chest. She has now successfully secured some startup funds for her future money-making business that she hasn't even thought up yet.

"Yeah, just think of something you want to sell people…" Zarba smiled wryly as he patted the happy goblin girl's head on his lap.

'She kind of has a business in the original timeline, so she should be capable enough to not go bankrupt in the first month…' Zarba thought while trying to be optimistic…
