For one full second, the entire loading yard froze.
The fallen cargo containers blocked the entrance completely, crushing two vehicles beneath twisted steel while smoke and sparks erupted into the rain-filled night. The impact had shaken the entire industrial yard hard enough to rattle nearby buildings.
Then the screaming started.
Victor's cleanup crew scattered immediately, several men yelling into radios while trying to navigate the destroyed entrance route. Panic finally cracked through their formation.
Good.
Because until now they had looked far too organized.
Aiden stared upward toward the crane platform where Noah still stood beneath the pouring rain.

Wind whipped through his soaked black clothes while flames from the exploded fuel station still burned behind him, casting orange light against the rain and smoke around the massive crane structure.
Even Matthew looked mildly disturbed.
