~Abigail's POV ~
The jet lands on the coast of Rassais Bay, Greece, in under ten hours. The air is cleaner here with salt and wind instead of smoke and city grime. Darius and I are escorted straight to the waiting car, bodyguards swarming around us like shadows.
My head still throbs from all the wine I drank last night. I must've passed out on the chair, because I woke up this morning in bed tucked in, somehow... before being forced into breakfast with my new husband.
Darius hasn't stopped working since dawn. Phone calls, board meetings, endless discussions about mergers and numbers. He barely looked up between conversations, his laptop open beside a glass of whiskey even during breakfast and lunch.
Now the sun's sinking low as we drive through the island. My head leans against the window, my eyes tracing the outline of the villa rising ahead of us.
