Shock in the Rassais family: Kostas Rassais declared dead. Accident or murder?
Staring at the headline with my jaw practically on the floor, I scroll through the comments. Half of them sound like conspiracy theorists hopped up on caffeine, claiming he was murdered. And seriously, what kind of headline is this? The media must be starving.
"No."
The deep voice snaps me out of it. Darius strides into the room, looking pissed and far too put-together for someone who clearly hasn't slept well. Leo follows behind him, grinning like this is all one big show.
"But why?" Leo asks, clearly continuing whatever argument they were having. The moment our eyes meet, he waves casually.
"Oh, hello there, sister-in-law."
"Hello." I wave back, then ask without hesitation, "Is Kostas really dead?"
That makes Darius's eyes snap to me. His lips press into a hard line, and that's all the confirmation I need. Kostas is dead.
A member of the Rassais family. Gone.
