"Did you know what happen at Carpel Inn?" Baston asked first to see what information that Luke caught.
"I don't know for sure, but I heard a dark wizard suddenly appeared there. It surely made a commotion but as for the next, I don't know…" Luke shook his head.
"Do you know that your uncle makes a deal with the dark wizard?"
"What? That fat man dared to do it?"
Baston squinted his eyes, thinking Luke already dared to ridicule Viktor since he was dead already, "As long as there's benefit, he
really dares to do it. The target is indeed you, but it's not for a weak excuse like your wealth."

"It's for your body, your corpse to be exact…"
"WHAT?" Luke was shocked.
"Initially, your dead body will be preserved and be used as the experiment. It should be related to mind control magic just like the fake Viktor."

Luke didn't force Baston to explain more because he felt something deeper was involved here. Although he trusted the fat boy from the beginning, he sometimes wondered what was the true reason that he wanted to help him. Never talked about friendship since it was very rare in noble

Nevertheless, he somehow let the cult displayed their strength by making someone named Joker appeared before Alicia and Panto. Right now, both of them should understand more about the cult's strength. Luke on the other hand was different since he never saw Joker himself. Instead, the one who saw this clown man was Princess Riquel and the governor. It was unexpected but it was also necessary for his quest to be completed.
For now, Baston only needed to wait for a few days in Luminos City. He already said if Luke wanted to know more, he should ask Alicia
or Panto. The noble boy must never know that Alicia should be on the way here. By then, both of them could meet and had a secret conversation.
