The assailant ripped the knife from Rihan's bloodied grip, stepping back to breathe, but Rihan wasn't finished. He lunged forward, burying a fist into the man's jaw with enough force to snap his head back.
"Who sent you to kill me?" Rihan stumbled, his teeth gritted as blood trailed down his face and into his eyes, blurring his vision further.
"Shoot him!" the assailant growled, his voice a distorted rasp.
Rihan froze. The realization that there was a second intruder hit him just as he turned to see a gun aimed at his chest.
The gunman stood a few feet away, his frame trembling. Rihan's pheromones were thick in the air, suffocating and violent, and even with a finger on the trigger, the gunman seemed paralyzed by the sheer dominance of Rihan's air.
The assailants were both Alphas, but Rihan was on another level.
