One moment I was standing in the streets, and the next moment, the surroundings changed, as if I was picked and placed somewhere else.
The houses and streets were nowhere to be seen, as right now I was standing in a completely dark and eerie forest, with trees that had trunks as thick as my height and big enough to block any moonlight from entering.
The surroundings were eerily silent, with occasional sounds of rustling that sent a shiver down my spine.
After overcoming the shock, my eyes went towards my sister, who was still holding my hands, standing next to me, while looking straight towards the big trees, if these abominations can even be called that.
'What the fuck?'
I couldn't understand what just happened.
My sister had said we were moving. I had thought maybe we would be sneaking through the gates so no one would know that I had left the village.
But nothing like that happened.
I magically appeared in a forest.
Was I teleported?
I didn't know. Because I felt nothing on my body.
I have never used teleportation gates. So I didn't know how it felt during teleportation.
But from the memories of the previous Eden, I knew they didn't feel pleasant feelings. As many people had said so.
While my thoughts were spiraling on what had happened, a rough female voice came, cutting through my thoughts.
"Why didn't you tell me that you had left your house?"
...
Listening to the voice, Eden's eyes moved from her sister to its source, where a woman had appeared out of nowhere.
She was wearing black trousers and a sports bra, draping herself in an open black coat that showed off her six-pack and tattoos, as its sleeves were pulled to her elbows.
Her body was of the same proportion as Eden's mother's.
The only difference was her height, which was about the same as his sister's, and she also had muscles and tattoos.
She had black-colored, shoulder-length hair, beautiful black eyes, and a face paralleling her mother's beauty.
But Eden was not fazed by her beauty.
According to him, the girl standing next to him, his sister, was the most beautiful person he had ever laid his eyes on.
This was not the only reason for him not to admire her beauty.
'She is quite different.' He thought, looking at her.
Eden had seen her on the news and also during the broadcast of the Zenith Academy entrance ceremony, when she had given the batch of Ace of the first year to his sister and had also announced to the world that she had taken her as her disciple.
During all those times, she was quite different.
She had looked like an elegant and refined person, a person having the aura of possessing the power equaling half a god.
But right now, that was nowhere to be seen. He could barely even feel pressure from her. It was like she was a normal human, not even an awakened one.
Still, Eden stayed firm, not letting his guard down.
Because he knew the person standing before him was none other than Seraphine Stormfang, his sister's master, the headmistress of the Zenith Academy, the top academy of the Empire, and a DEMIGOD.
The reason Eden didn't feel anything was not because he was way weaker than the woman standing in front of him.
It was because Seraphine herself had lowered her presence to the level of a normal human. After all, she didn't want to pressure the boy in front of her.
There was no need to do so.
...
"Didn't I tell you to tell me as you left your house? You could have arrived much earlier." Seraphine spoke again with an annoyed voice.
But there was no response from Aurelia. She was just staring at her, as if her annoyance meant nothing to her.
"Sigh...!"
Not getting any answers from her disciple, Seraphine sighed in defeat while shaking her head
Before her gaze moved towards her hands, then to the owner of the hand she was clutching, a handsome boy who was standing next to her.
The boy who had intrigued her.
When Aurelia had said that, his brother, Eden, had awakened. For a moment, Seraphine couldn't believe her own ears.
If she hadn't had all her pending work and Aurelia had told her earlier, she would have just gone to her house to check on him.
And the reason behind her curiosity was.
Awakening early and being a prodigy were not common. It is rare, much rarer than Eden thought it was.
And in her whole life, a life spanning across a century, Seraphine had never seen it happen twice in a row in a single family.
She had checked Aurelia's family, and nothing surprising was there, other than that her family had three awakeners and her mother was a healer, which was rare in the Empire.
Seraphine had done it because Aurelia herself was a huge shock to her, as she was the only person in the past and present that Seraphine had seen to wield six elements. Even she herself had only three elements.
But wielding six elements was not the only shock, as her talent just shocked her more.
Aurelia had the potential of becoming a DEMIGOD. But becoming one was not easy; it was the hardest part, because having potential was only considered luck.
Seraphine herself had to dedicate her whole life to this, forgetting everything about the world outside the training.
But Aurelia was different; in just more than a year, she had reached PHASE [6] EXPERT. All the while attending to her daily life.
Seraphine had thought this was going to be the end of the shocks she was going to get from her beautiful disciple.
But no, here was another one, standing just before her, her brother Eden.
"You must be Eden, huh?" She spoke, looking at the boy in front of her.
"Yes." The boy replied, trying to compose himself.
Seraphine didn't pay much attention to the boy, as her black eyes glimmered, staring directly at his body, as though piercing through his soul.
Eden felt a cold shiver run down his spine when he felt this intent gaze on her.
After just seconds, the intensity of the stare dropped, as Seraphine caught her chin between her fingers and looked at him.
"Three elements, huh." She muttered with an incredulous expression before adding, "What the fuck are you guys being fed?"
Eden was quite surprised to hear a curse word from the mouth of the woman before her, but the surprise died down as fast as it came.
Because his mind caught something else.
'She can sense my elements.' He thought, before stupidly shaking his thoughts off.
'Of course she can. She is a DEMIGOD.'
But as this stupid thought died, another thought came forward.
'Three elements?'
