Logan tossed the broken rebar in his hand onto the ground right in front of Karl.
The metal hit the floor with a sharp clang, and Karl flinched violently.
Looking directly at Karl, Logan said in a calm voice, "Go back and tell Stripline that I've accepted these 'gifts'."
"But next time, have Stripline come personally. I want to see if he dares to hand me this trash face-to-face."
Karl's face drained of color, and a cloud of cold sweat immediately formed on his forehead.
He didn't dare say a single more word. Hurrying to his workers, he fled in a panic.
Watching Karl run away, a cold smile curled the corner of Logan's mouth.
He saw the soft-knife tactic clearly for what it was. Stripline wanted him to use this junk to build a crumbling, shoddy structure.
Then, the other party would have a perfect excuse to take over the World Tree's territory in the name of safety.
Jessica rushed over to Logan's side. Her golden hair swayed gently in the wind.
