Chapter 172 - Chapter 172: Use Violence to Control Violence!

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Several flying blades shot out under Fenric's control, cutting through the Chitauri soldiers like hot knives through butter.

With his current mental power, each flying blade carried more penetrating force than a rifle bullet. Even the armor of the Chitauri could not withstand his attacks.

Within moments, the alien soldiers surrounding Fenric fell one after another.

The Chitauri tried to counterattack, their energy guns blazing with bright flashes of light.

But the blasts barely affected Fenric. The moment he coated himself with Armament Haki, the energy projectiles only felt like light tickles against his skin.

The only thing they managed to do was generate heat, slightly singeing his already torn clothes.

Fenric walked forward casually, his hands barely moving, blades floating and striking with lethal precision. He strolled across the battlefield as though he were walking through his own garden.

Wherever he passed, the Chitauri collapsed.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, a massive energy cannon shot down from a Chitauri aircraft, striking Fenric directly and making him pause for the first time.

"This is from their aircraft, huh?" Fenric muttered with a faint smile. "Not bad… but still not enough to break my defenses. The heat is a little annoying, though."

Most of his upper clothing had already been burned to rags, leaving only scraps clinging to his torso. Fortunately, his pants were still intact—otherwise, things would've been awkward.

Two Chitauri aircraft descended, continuously bombarding Fenric with heavy energy blasts.

Not wanting his pants to meet the same fate as his shirt, Fenric raised a hand, forming a vortex of psychic energy around himself. The incoming energy blasts deflected off the barrier, ricocheting to the ground nearby.

Blocking energy cannons directly with raw psychic force was inefficient, but redirecting them with a mental twist was far easier and cost him little effort.

The moment the aircraft swooped closer, Fenric smirked. He raised his hand slightly… then pressed down.

With a sudden pull of psychic force, the aircraft's flight paths twisted violently.

"Boom! Boom!"

Both aircraft slammed into the ground, exploding into a rain of fire and metal before they could even get close.

Fenric didn't even glance at the wreckage. He simply kept moving forward.

So far, Fenric hadn't taken a single step back. His overwhelming presence drew the attention of everyone nearby.

"Holy crap, who's that guy? He's mowing down the Chitauri like nothing!"

"Do you even need to ask? That's the Shura God!"

"Damn, the Shura God finally made his move?"

"That guy's a monster. His strength is terrifying!"

"Heh, don't get too excited. Look at him—he's so arrogant. When the full Chitauri army arrives, let's see if he can still act tough!"

From the shadows, several Samsara players whispered as they watched Fenric's onslaught, their eyes filled with awe and envy.

On a rooftop, Hawkeye, Clint Barton, adjusted his aim while watching Fenric's rampage.

"Does anyone know who that guy is on Thirteenth Street?" he asked through his comms.

A moment later, Tony's angry voice crackled in response. "He's a damn thief!"

"A thief?" Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff, raised an eyebrow. "Don't tell me he stole your girlfriend, Tony?"

"Worse than that!" Tony said indignantly.

Captain America's voice came over the line, calm yet firm. "Stark, focus on the bigger picture. Loki first, aliens second. Forget your grudges for now."

It was clear Steve was trying to stop Tony from doing something reckless.

Hawkeye chimed in again. "That guy's drawing a ton of attention. The Chitauri are swarming toward him. Should we back him up?"

"No! That guy's not going down anytime soon." Tony snorted.

What he didn't say aloud was that Fenric was wearing his stolen armor—something that still burned in Tony's chest.

Fenric didn't care about the growing horde around him. The ordinary Chitauri soldiers weren't even worth his time. With a mere flick of his mental power, they dropped like flies.

Aircraft? He dragged them out of the sky with a casual wave.

But his display of dominance finally provoked the Chitauri.

From the space-time portal, a giant reptilian war beast emerged, its colossal frame shaking the ground with every step.

While others might have turned pale at the sight, Fenric's lips curled into a grin.

"Finally, a worthy opponent."

He pulled out the Riot Gloves and slid them onto his hands.

Not only did Fenric not retreat, he charged forward.

"Is this guy insane?" Hawkeye muttered from his rooftop vantage point, unable to believe his eyes.

The others also turned their attention toward Fenric.

"BZZT—!"

The massive creature barreled forward, every collision sent tremors through the ground.

In front of it, Fenric's human frame looked ridiculously small—barely the size of the creature's head.

But size wasn't everything.

"Zing!"

At Fenric's command, the Riot Gloves morphed into a massive iron ball, its surface bristling with sharp spikes. His right hand gripped the weapon tightly, energy swirling around him.

As the two closed in, Fenric's eyes hardened.

"Let's see whose strength wins!"

With explosive force, Fenric launched himself forward like a cannonball, swinging the iron sphere straight into the monster's face.

The impact was brutal—an earth-shattering punch reminiscent of the Hulk's iconic blows.

Truthfully, Fenric could have ended the fight more easily with his black blade.

But this time, he wanted to use sheer violence to make a statement—a show of power aimed directly at S.H.I.E.L.D. and the world.

"BOOOOM!!!"

The deafening explosion of impact echoed across the war-torn streets of New York.
