Chapter 286 - Chapter 286: Catch a Witch Alive!

"Master, where are we going next?"

"Sokovia," Fenric replied.

The Hurricane immediately locked onto the destination and accelerated.

Sokovia—a small Eastern European country, fictionalized in the Marvel films. It had only one major city, and in the original timeline, it was the stage for the final battle of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ultron had lifted Sokovia into the sky, planning to drop it like a meteor to wipe out humanity. In the end, the Avengers stopped him, destroyed the city, and ended his reign of terror.

But Fenric knew something else. Sokovia was also the hiding place of the Maximoff twins—Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. That was his true destination.

As for whether his supercar could reach Sokovia? Any ordinary car couldn't. But Hurricane was different—it was a Transformer. If necessary, it could even become a jet. Traffic and distance weren't an issue.

Several hours later, Fenric arrived. Night had already fallen.

The sleek sports car drew plenty of attention—especially in Sokovia, where such luxury vehicles were rare. Locals turned their heads and whispered, their curiosity obvious.

Fenric didn't mind. But the attention made it harder to track down the Scarlet Witch.

"Hurricane," Fenric ordered, "find a place to park outside the city. Don't draw more attention."

"Yes, Master."

Once parked, Fenric gave his next command. "Hack the local network. Search for Wanda Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff."

Moments later, Hurricane responded, "Apologies, Master. No information found."

Fenric wasn't surprised.

In the original story, the twins had ties to Hydra. After Hydra's Sokovia branch was destroyed by the Avengers, they went into hiding. Now, with Hydra a hunted organization, the siblings wouldn't be listed in any government records.

Fenric had only asked out of faint hope.

"In that case," he said calmly, "monitor all communications in this city. If you hear the names Wanda or Pietro, notify me immediately."

"Yes, Master."

Fenric then checked into a nearby hotel.

The next afternoon, his phone rang. A disposable one, bought casually.

"Hello?"

"Master, I found a clue," Hurricane's deep voice reported.

Fenric immediately went downstairs. In a side alley, Hurricane was waiting—beside two fresh corpses.

"What happened?" Fenric frowned.

"These two attempted to break into me last night," Hurricane explained flatly. "Their intentions were hostile. I eliminated them."

Fenric was speechless. Two petty thieves—who had chosen the worst possible target. Of all the doors to pry open, they picked a Transformer. It really was suicide.

"Well, dead thieves are no loss." He dismissed the matter with a shrug and climbed into the car. "Now, did you find them?"

"I intercepted a call containing Wanda's name."

Hurricane played the short recording. A male voice casually asked Wanda what she wanted for dinner, so he could bring it home.

Fenric's eyes narrowed. That voice had to be Pietro.

"Track the address. Take me there."

"Yes, Master."

Twenty minutes later, Hurricane stopped near a run-down neighborhood that looked like a slum.

Too conspicuous here, Fenric ordered the car to hide itself. The exact location was sent to his phone.

Following the signal, Fenric walked through narrow streets.

After a few minutes, he spotted him.

A young man with silver-white hair, carrying a bag of food.

Pietro Maximoff.

Fenric kept his face neutral, pretending not to notice as they passed each other. But once Pietro had gone by, Fenric silently turned and followed.

The bag held pizza—Wanda's favorite.

Pietro was completely unaware he was being tracked.

Soon, he stopped at a small bungalow. After checking the street and seeing no strangers, he slipped inside.

But just as he closed the door—he froze. His body lifted into the air, bound by invisible force.

No matter how he struggled, he couldn't move. His speed was useless.

"Wanda!!" Pietro shouted desperately. "Run!!"

But instead of fleeing, Wanda rushed out of the house.

"What happened?!" she gasped, seeing her brother suspended in midair.

"Run!" Pietro urged again, panic in his voice.

But the siblings' bond was too strong. Wanda couldn't abandon him.

Her eyes glowed crimson as her hands filled with chaotic energy. She reached out, trying to break her brother free.

That was when a tall figure appeared behind her.

A hand closed firmly around her slender neck.

Fenric.

"Their combat experience is terrible," he thought with a smirk.

Suddenly, a sharp system alert echoed in his mind.

"Warning: Special energy is attempting to invade your mind. To prevent access to Samsara player memory data, protective measures have been activated."

Fenric chuckled. "Wanda, if I were you, I'd stop wasting strength. Peering into other people's minds isn't a good habit."

The Scarlet Witch's face went pale.

"Who… are you?" she demanded.

"Me?" Fenric smiled darkly. "I'm your future master. Now, swear loyalty to me."

"You're dreaming!" Wanda spat, gritting her teeth.

Fenric's smile only widened.
