Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

It was cold and silent, as I trudge along this dark empty forest; my body began feeling heavy. I look forward only to perceive the darkness, but I pushed myself through.

Slowly as I pull the horizon of this seemingly unending forest, the sight of a gate began to surface. The size of the gate towered above the the surrounding trees.

As I slowly arrived at its face, the gate began to rumble. And It opened the moment I got there.

Behind it was a humongous Monastery, the size; dwarfs even the largest skyscraper I have ever seen.

I went inside, and Immediately notice while the distance of the entrance gets farther away, the door at the other side building remained unchanged.

I continued forward...

I continued forward...

I continued forward...

Its been days...

I have walked the length of approximately 2 entire cities.

I continued forward.

I looked back, the entrance of which I came in couldn't even be perceive, everything behind me covered in thick fog.

And at the moment I looked forward again the door at the otherside was in front of me...

I opened it. On the other side, was a stone brick floor not resembling the dirt and mud of the forest outside, but I am outside...

I went out... what was in front of me was Stairs made of Glass. I looked to the sides and other than what was in front of me everythjng was covered in thick fog.

The stone brick floor continuing even through the fog. I checked behind and was at least glad to see the Monastery still being there.

I climbed up the stairs. Each step being harder than the last, it felt like the each step the glass was slowly getting bri--

*CRASH*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

With a loud sound, as I stepped into the about the 50th step, the glass breaks puncturing through my right foot.

My screams echoing through the place.

I continued...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

I continue...

And as I continued, every part of my body was punctured and cut, the blood purs down behind me, the once clear glass of stairs turns scarlet red as my blood pours down through it.

I climbed the stairs using my hands dragging my bloodied body behind, As my eyes were filled with shards of glass I blindly grabbed and pull upwards slowly making progress.

Each wounds filled with glass was agonizing, it slowly grinded my flesh as I moved, each of the shards bringing intense heat, like molten glass.

As I slowly go up, maybe due to utter desperation, I felt and grabbed a large shard of glass, I severed my head off to try to kill myself.

I understood the futility of it...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The pain was unimaginable, I was screaming and suffering while my head was severed for about a month my scream neverending.

Until I realised I could move my arm. I was blinded and spent days screaming so I did not know where my head was.

So I felt with my hands everywhere. Luckily it was close enough so I could grabbed it. I held my head at my scalp. I avoided grabbing my hair as the skin of my scalp was partialy separated with my skull, and I was afraid I would drop it.

And I tossed my head upwards as strong as I can...

Unfortunately... i didn't have any strength in my body anymore.

The throw was limp and as I was about to despair...

My head dropped into something... it felt nothing like the glass of the stairs nor the stone bricks below it.

It was reminiscent of the dirt and mud of the forest of the outside.

My vision then slowly began to return, my body rebuilt itself and all the pain dissipated as if nothing ever happened.

All I see, is a lake and everything is surrounded by the fog. Nothing is here.

I know what I must do...

I dove head first into the lake, I sink, not moving any muscle. Ignoring the sensation of drowning.

I close my eyes, it is peaceful...

Then I woke up.

Im now in a library. Standing beside a door.

Everything in the library, was a bookshelf filled with books; the walls, the ceiling, even the floors.

I opened a book to see its contents...

Nothing seemed to happen, it just felt off, so I closed the book and then went through the door.

He went mad.

He did not even notice it.

.

Beside the room was just a normal room filled with trinkets and doohickeys. There was a chair and some tools but nothing unusual it was kinda hot but nothing I couldn't handle.

So I went through the door at the other side of the room, with relief that at least he did not

get some sort of torture.

He went through the door and he closed it.

It was dark, pitch black not even a single silhouette in the distance. He tried to go back but the door behind him dissappeared.

He looked into the distance and heard a whispering voice inside his head.

THE GODS ARE DEAD.
