Hanken hesitated for a moment before reluctantly stepping away from Xers.

The atoms surrounding Hanken instantly stopped vibrating, and time itself froze.

Using every move at his disposal, Hanken escaped from the area.

The atoms began vibrating once again, and time resumed its flow.
Xers stood alone in the middle of 10,000 Nyxian sorcerers. Every single one of them had their eyes locked onto him. When Hanken suddenly disappeared, panic spread through their ranks.
''Hahaha!'' (Takes a deep breath.) ''This is going to be exhausting... Dragon's Truth!''
Gomerai burst out of the ground and launched a giant tetracube into the sky. The tetracube expanded and sealed every sorcerer inside like a massive box. Within this dimension, Xers could bend time itself and move at incredible speeds.
''Now then... Time to cut every last one of you down! Let's begin. Hiiiah!''
Xers dashed through the battlefield at blinding speed, cutting down the Nyxian sorcerers one after another. Inside the dimensional box, the Nyxian sorcerers moved so slowly that even their dismembered bodies scattered through the air nearly twenty times slower than normal.
Meanwhile...
Varaichi had entered her Fire Angel form and slaughtered countless soldiers. The orange mask covering her face shone so brightly that it scorched the surrounding air.
''I-I-I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! THIS IS AMAZING!''
Swinging her sword, Varaichi engulfed everything around her in flames. The vast majority of the Nyxian soldiers perished as they burned alive.
However, among them was a man with short black hair, hazel eyes, standing 6'2" (187 cm) tall, wielding a turquoise sword and wearing a turquoise mask. He charged fearlessly toward Varaichi.
Varaichi noticed the approaching man and readied her sword.
''FLAME ERUPTION!''
A gigantic wave of flames burst from Varaichi's blade. As the man rushed toward her, a few quiet words escaped his mouth.
''Re-verse...''
In an instant, the dimensional barrier tore apart. Another dimension emerged from within it—a dimension existing exactly thirty seconds in the past. Yet everyone's memories and consciousness remained completely intact.
''W-W-WHAT HAPPENED?! D-DIDN'T I JUST ATTACK HIM?!''
The man spoke.
''Haha. You did... And it was a good attack. If I'd been any later, I would've been torn apart. But... that's simply my ability.''
''W-Who are you?''
''Fukaru... Endo Fukaru.''
Fukaru's Re-verse ability records the atomic state of a selected area at a chosen point in time. When he activates the ability again, he destroys the current dimension and replaces it with the recorded atomic state and dimension, effectively reversing time within that area.
''I can feel your fear, Varaichi.''
''STOP TALKING! TAKE THIS!''
Varaichi swung her sword at Fukaru. Fukaru expertly evaded the attack.
Fukaru couldn't use Re-verse continuously. The ability had a cooldown.
Drawing his sword, Fukaru clashed head-on with Varaichi. Their blades collided in midair. Varaichi's flames barely missed him. Tightening his grip, Fukaru swung with overwhelming force. His strike slammed against Varaichi's sword, launching her dozens of meters away. She crashed into the muddy ground and rolled across it.
''Ahhh! Y-you bastard! His raw strength is unbelievable! No wonder he's the leader of the Valengard Dynasty!''
At that moment, Hanken arrived beside Varaichi.
''A-Are you alright, Varaichi?!''
''B-Be careful, Hanken... H-He's E-ENDO FUKARU!''
