Xers, Hanken, and Varaichi began chasing Fukaru while riding on Gomerai. They passed through the trees.
Varaichi:
''That guy named Fukaru can't possibly move faster than Gomerai, so how is he doing this?''
Hanken:
''He is most likely teleporting himself around by using Re-verse. The best thing we can do right now is stop chasing Fukaru and deal with the Nyxian soldiers.''
Xers:
''I completely agree with you, Hanken. Let's head toward the mainland!''
The three of them headed toward the Shadowia mainland. They flew over the islands on Gomerai. However, they witnessed a catastrophe.
Nearly 500 Nyxian warships had already begun moving toward the Shadowia mainland to launch an invasion. The Nyxian flag was flying proudly on every single warship.
Xers panicked.
''W-WHAT IS THIS?! V-VARAICHI! I-IS THIS REAL?!''
''X-X-XERS... WE'RE SCREWED!''
''W-WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?! WE HAVE TO GET BACK TO HEADQUARTERS IMMEDIATELY!''
Hanken tried to calm everyone down.
''Everyone, stay calm! Going back to headquarters right now would waste far too much time. The officers and commanders have most likely already noticed this attack. Our goal is to inflict as much damage on the enemy as possible before the invasion even begins!''
''Y-You're right, Hanken... Then I'll drop you two onto the warships with Gomerai. But can you handle things on your own?''
''We'll manage... Drop Hanken and me onto those two warships down there. You attack from the air with Gomerai and Koberai.''
''Alright. Hanken, this warship is yours. Get ready!''
Hanken put on his mask and prepared his scythe.
''I-I'M READY!''
''Alright! I'll launch you so you can get there quickly. Slow your fall with Chronosis! Gomerai! Launch him!''
Gomerai powerfully swung Hanken through the air, launching him toward the Nyxian warship.
''Here we goooo... We're coming... CHRONOSIS!''
Just before Hanken hit the ground, he activated Chronosis. The atoms stopped vibrating, and time came to a halt.
''Haha! They're looking at me in complete shock... A Shadowian sorcerer just fell from the sky... You don't see that in other countries. Anyway, let's see how well you can be cut down...''
It was now Varaichi's turn to descend.
''Want me to throw you too, Varaichi?''
''P-PLEASE DON'T, XERS! I'm not Hanken...''
''Alright, alright, haha. I'll land you properly on the deck. You'll handle the rest of them.''
''Alright, Xers... I'm getting ready.''
Varaichi put on her mask and prepared her flaming sword.
''We're beginning the descent!! Jump now!''
Varaichi successfully landed on the deck of the warship.
''Now I'm going to burn you all...''
Meanwhile, Xers:
''Now we're all alone... Koberai!''
Koberai descended from the sky and flew alongside Gomerai.
''ATTACK!''
While Gomerai unleashed Heavenly Flames upon every warship he could see, Koberai fired Heavenly Slashes at every warship within range. However, since the Nyxian warships had been reinforced with special dark magic, they were incredibly resistant to external attacks. Xers managed to send one Nyxian warship to the bottom of the sea every fifteen to twenty seconds.
''If I keep going at this speed, I could sink all of these warships in about two or three hours. But it looks like they'll reach our mainland in half an hour. Whatever... I have to do the best I can...''
Meanwhile, Hanken:
Hanken had taken down approximately fifteen enemy sorcerers with Chronosis. The atoms began vibrating once again, and time resumed.
The other approximately one hundred enemy sorcerers aboard the ship had also noticed Hanken. Hanken immediately began running.
''H-HEY! THERE'S AN INTRUDER HERE!''
''I need to find the command room quickly! If I can take down the captain, this ship won't be able to reach the shore.''
Hanken weaved through the enemy sorcerers by jumping and flipping over them. He continued forward, tearing apart some of the enemies in his path with his scythe.
He climbed up the ship's pipes and reached the next floor. There, he spotted a battalion of sorcerers eating together. Hanken smashed through the window and crashed directly into the dining table. Caught completely off guard, the sorcerers were torn apart one after another.
''Hiiah!''
''GQ#41!''

Almost every plate and dish on the table was shattered into pieces. The entire room was covered in blood. Hanken emerged from the room completely unharmed and headed toward the stairs.
At that moment, a Nyxian officer appeared in front of him.
''WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING, BRAT?! GET OVER HERE!''
''CHRONOSIS!''
The atoms stopped vibrating, and time froze.
While time was stopped, Hanken used his scythe to make a small cut across the officer's throat. He then continued running.
Time began to flow once again.
Blood suddenly began pouring from the officer's throat. It wasn't a fatal wound, but the cut was bleeding heavily. The officer collapsed onto his knees, clutching his throat in shock and struggling to breathe.
Cough
''W-W-WHO IS THIS GUY?!''
Hanken reached the highest floor of the ship and saw the command room directly ahead. He sprinted at full speed, smashed through the door with his entire body, and burst inside.
''W-WHAT IS GOING ON?! WHO ARE YOU?!''
''Shhhh! It'll be a quiet death...''
Hanken grabbed his scythe and drove it directly into the center of the captain's chest. The blade pierced straight through the captain's back.
Hanken quickly pulled his scythe back out and left the room.
''Now all that's left is to kill the remaining sorcerers on this ship and sail back to Shadowia with the ship by myself.''
