Who knew I would end up this stressed out after looking for jobs for weeks? It's been three days and I'm still on the letters my selfish inhumane boss gave me to read and reply. There was absolutely no way I could do all these in a week. Thankfully, he hasn't been in his office.
Today however, he surprisingly appeared.
"Are you done?" He hissed in the most arrogant manner I could ever think of, his hands in his pockets.
I slammed my hand on the letters but held back from doing anything stupid, I needed this job.
"I did everything I could but I'm on it." The words squeezed out through my gritting teeth. I clenched my fist to keep in check.
He tilted his head and gazed at me, more like asking a quiet question.
"How long are you going to keep this up?" He asked.
I bowed sarcastically. "I'm sorry your highness if I have done anything to hurt you, but I really can't finish all this work. I'm meant to be your secretary, not some—" I sighed. "Please just…"
