First Layer of the Supernatural Realm
"Guests, do you need hot water?"
The tavern owner's voice came from outside the room.
Matthew and Natalie were both pretending to be unconscious, so naturally they didn't answer.
Seeing that there was no response from inside the room, the tavern owner took out the key and unlocked the door herself.
When the door opened, Matthew's keen hearing allowed him to distinguish three sets of footsteps coming in.
This means that the number of people coming in was at least three!
"Guests? Guests?"
The tavern owner pretended to call out and shook Matthew a few times.
Only after being sure that Matthew did not react did she completely relax.
"There are so many stupid offerings this year! They both ate a lot and are now sleeping like dead pigs." Said someone. It was a man's voice.
Then, another man's voice was heard. "Boss, this offering is really hot. Can I have some fun first?"
The tavern owner was silent for a moment before she said, "The Moon Goddess's followers are coming soon. You only have three minutes!"
"Hehe, thanks, boss, three minutes is enough!" A vulgar voice sounded.
'Oh no!' Matthew thought after hearing the man's words.
He assumed Natalie was about to be groped and was about to rush to her rescue, then he suddenly realized that the footsteps were approaching him.
Then, a chaotic 'crackling' sound was heard!
The things on the table were swept to the ground.
The next moment, Matthew was lifted from his chair and pushed down onto the table.
Moreover, the man who pushed him quickly stood behind him and was unbuckling his belt.
Matthew: "…"
He was a little confused! Then realized.
It turns out that the hot one the other person was referring to was him.
'Fuck you!' Matthew was furious!
He couldn't bear it any longer and immediately opened his eyes filled with anger.
When he turned around, he saw a greasy, wretched man standing behind him, his belt was completely untied.
Seeing Matthew wake up, the wretched man was a little stunned. He stopped what he was doing and stood there in a daze.
"Go to hell, you bastard!" Matthew kicked him out directly!
This kick was a powerful one, full of anger.
With Matthew's current strength, a full-strength kick would definitely be terrifying.
The fate of the wretched man was the best proof of that.
-Crack!
When Matthew kicked the wretched man in the stomach, the man's spine instantly broke, and all his intestines were ruptured.
The wretched man did not blow up on the spot simply because he was wearing a relatively sturdy leather armor.
When the full force of Matthew's kick took effect, the wretched man's body shot out like a cannonball.
-Boom! Boom!
Two thunder-like sounds were heard one after another.
It was the wretched man's body that crashed through the wall in the room. Then, he quickly smashed through the wall of the next room and finally stopped in the third room.
When the wretched man stopped, his entire body had turned into a pile of mud. Couldn't be more dead!
Even so, Matthew was still not satisfied and spat on the ground in hatred.
Only after that, he stared at the tavern owner and the other man, the bald one, with a fierce look in his eyes.
Matthew was definitely furious.

The tavern owner and the other bald man were already frightened out of their wits.
They never expected that these two people would pretend to be unconscious.
What was even more unexpected was that this man, who looked to have a normal physique, actually had such massive strength.
'Is that still a human kick? Are you sure you are not a monster?' was their thought.
"Ah!"
The tavern owner finally reacted. She screamed and tried to run away.
-Puff
A ball of fire suddenly appeared, blocking the tavern owner's way.
The room's temperature rose instantly.
It was Natalie who took action.
Matthew had made such a loud noise that Natalie couldn't keep up the pretense of being unconscious.
As for the other bald man, he was very tactful. His knees softened, and he knelt directly in front of the two.
"Everything was orchestrated by that evil woman, Jenny. I… I was just following her orders," the bald man said.
Jenny. That was the name of the tavern owner.
This guy sold out the tavern owner right away.
Matthew looked at the two of them, and he was still furious, but he knew that obtaining intelligence was more important at the moment.
So, he resisted the urge to beat the two of them to death and looked at the bald man coldly.
"Tell me everything you know about the Moon Goddess!"
As soon as he heard the name of the Moon Goddess, the bald man became even more frightened. He crawled on the ground and opened his mouth several times, but no words came out.
Suddenly, the bald man's entire body started shaking violently, and blood was gushing out of his mouth and nose.
Not long after, the guy died with blood coming out of all seven orifices!
Such a miserable death!!
This scene surprised Matthew and Natalie.
It was just a name, and it caused such a huge reaction. An instant death!
What is the origin of this Goddess? Moon Goddess? Could there be a goddess on the moon?
Matthew looked at the tavern owner again.
"Moon Goddess, talk."
"Don't ask me, I don't know anything, don't ask me..." The tavern owner screamed in fear.
"Don't you want to talk? Then you can also go to hell!" Matthew threatened her.
But even though he threatened to kill her, the tavern owner still didn't dare to say anything.
It seemed like everything about the Moon Goddess was taboo!
"Please, dear guests, please let me go..." The tavern owner kept begging for mercy.
Just when Matthew was about to lose his patience, the tavern owner suddenly trembled all over, and her eyes showed a terrified look.
"They are here, they came..." She muttered to herself; her eyes were blank.
Not long after, the tavern owner's pupils turned scarlet, making her look like a monster, a scary one.
Then, the tavern owner went crazy, screamed, and rushed directly towards Matthew.
Matthew frowned and kicked her immediately.
-Bang!
There was a loud crash.
Even though Matthew reduced his strength, the tavern owner still flew backward and hit the wall behind her.
With that, the room became quiet.
Looking at the twisted body of the tavern owner, Matthew frowned even deeper.
Tonight was his first time killing someone.
However, he felt no discomfort.
Because killing these two people was as easy as crushing two ants.
The reason he frowned was that he found that he couldn't control the strength.
Just one kick and he would kill someone.
"Matthew!"
At this moment, Natalie suddenly pointed at the window and said, "Look at this."
Matthew turned his head and saw a lot of red light shining into the room through the gaps in the window.
He immediately went to the window and looked outside through the gap.
Then, Matthew's eyes widened.
He saw a full moon hanging high in the sky outside.
The strange thing was that this full moon was scarlet!
The light it emitted was like blood, dyeing the entire city red.
As for outside of the city, he didn't know when, but it had been shrouded in endless fog.
And from the fog, the fierce roars of beasts could be heard faintly.
