Chapter 166 - KRYPT-Ch.166: Last Hurdle – Solo Supernatural Realm

Time flew, and in the blink of an eye, it was already February.

February 1st was the opening day of the ninth layer of the Supernatural Realm, and the ninth layer of the Supernatural Realm was also another monster-slaying layer.

In a layer like this, the combination of Matthew and Natalie naturally easily earned them another SSS-grade mission rating.

This layer was particularly easy for Matthew.

Others came to the ninth layer of the supernatural realm to kill monsters, but he was simply testing his new ability in there: The Tremor-Tremor Fruit.

And the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power did not disappoint him. In fact, it was even more powerful than he had imagined.

In the ninth layer of the supernatural realm, Matthew could kill a large number of monsters with a single punch.

In the final few seconds of the mission, Matthew unleashed a full-force punch at the island they were standing on.

That punch shattered the small island that covered tens of square kilometers, and eventually sank it into the sea.

Natalie was completely dumbfounded.

As for the side effect of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit… The backlash many feared, leading them to view this Devil Fruit as harmful and useless…

Even when using the Tremor-Tremor Fruit with full power, the resulting recoil didn't harm Matthew at all, thanks to his Steel Body innate skill.

For Matthew, this fruit was completely harmless.

In conclusion, Matthew was very satisfied with the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's abilities.

A Kryptonian Physique combined with the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's power was a perfect match.

More importantly, thanks to the Devil Fruit Weakness Removal Card, he did not have the seawater weakness that Devil Fruit users possessed.

Matthew Atkinson

Oxford, United Kingdom

Today was February 2nd.

Early in the morning, Matthew opened his eyes in the dormitory, and the first thing he did was look at his attribute panel.

......

Race: Human

Trait: Ageless

Constitution: 2870 (↑270)

Mental: 845 (↑81)

Strength: 2870 (↑270)

Agility: 2870 (↑270)

Ability: Tremor-Tremor Fruit, Kryptonian Bloodline [Steel Body (4), Super Strength (4), Flight]

Skills: [Fist/Galaxy Impact], [Haki (Supreme)], [Demon God's Descent], [Inventory], [Danger Sense]

Attribute Points: 2370 (↑450)

......

This was Matthew's current attribute panel, and if he were able to display it, it would probably terrify people.

Where could someone find a freshman attribute panel as terrifying as his?

His previous expendable attribute points were 1920. At the ninth layer of the supernatural realm, he and Natalie each gained 450 attribute points, bringing his current expendable attribute points directly to over two thousand.

It reached 2370 points.

Also, in the ninth layer, Matthew received the extraordinary treasure chest reward from the eighth layer of the supernatural realm. Inside was a peculiar supernatural skill called "Meditation".

After learning this skill, someone could use "meditation" at night to replace sleep and enhance their mental attribute.

Although the enhancement was not significant, it was still a very useful skill.

It was a skill that countless supernatural individuals who follow the mental path dream of.

Matthew gave it to Natalie.

Since last year, in all the supernatural realm layers, Natalie had been his most important and trusted partner, always following him and acting as his shield to draw attention away from him.

Although he carried Natalie through the layers of the supernatural realm, Natalie deserved credit for her hard work.

Matthew wasn't a stingy person. He would naturally share the benefits with such an important partner.

Not to mention, Natalie was his fiancée and his woman.

He couldn't just focus on becoming stronger himself. He also needed to improve Natalie's strength appropriately.

And Natalie had become incredibly powerful after obtaining Armament, Observation, and Conqueror's Haki at the eighth level, combining them into a single Haki skill and elevating its level to Supreme.

Because her Constitution and Strength attributes weren't high, her Armament Haki wasn't as strong as Matthew's, but thanks to Observation and Conqueror's Haki, her power had reached another dimension.

And in May, Natalie's second ability, Witch Bloodline, would awaken. At that point, Natalie would become even more powerful.

Leaving these aside, Matthew didn't have as great a need for mental attributes as Natalie, so he gave the "Meditation" skill to Natalie.

For Matthew, it was just a supernatural skill. He didn't value it much.

Matthew knew his mental attribute was low. And this was likely preventing some Kryptonian innate skills from awakening.

But Matthew wasn't about to solve this by staying up every night meditating.

Now he had 5 sets of skill upgrade cards. These cards allowed Matthew to instantly upgrade 5 different upgradable skills from Beginner to Supreme level.

And this meant Matthew no longer needed to save expendable attribute points for skill upgrades.

Looking at the more than 2,000 expendable attribute points on the attribute panel, Matthew thought about how he should use them.

If he added all 2370 attribute points to his mental attribute, it would reach 3125 points.

This meant his mental attributes would even surpass his other attributes. While his other attributes increased by 10 points daily, his mental attribute increased by 3 points, meaning that technically, his other attributes would eventually surpass his mental attribute again.

However, if Matthew added the expendable attribute points he earned from the Supernatural Realm Layers he entered to his mental attribute, he could keep it at the same level as the other attributes.

After all, while his other three attributes increased by an average of 300 points per month, Matthew was currently earning approximately 450 expendable attribute points as rewards monthly.

If he put all his earned attribute points into his mental attribute, he could even keep it as his strongest attribute.

But would that be logical? After all, the Kryptonian body's strength relied on his other three attributes. His primary focus should never be on his mental attributes.

On the other hand, he could allocate some of the 2370 points to his Constitution, Strength, and Agility attributes. These attributes were approaching the 3000-point level, and this level could be another threshold for new innate skills.

Looking at it from another perspective, in 13 days, in mid-February, with the next supernatural realm still half a month away, these three attributes would already reach the 3000 points level.

Therefore, adding points to them now seemed hasty to Matthew.

In the end, Matthew decided to postpone distributing the expendable attribute points. After all, there was about a month until the next Supernatural Realm.

It would be better for him first to learn more about the next layer of the supernatural realm and then make a decision based on that.

Matthew glanced at the time and realized it was already 7:50 a.m.

He quickly tidied himself up and rushed to the classroom.

He stepped into the classroom, and Professor Holland came just after him.

Then the class began.

"Yesterday, you safely passed through the first nine layers of the Supernatural Realm. Next, you will face the tenth layer of the Supernatural Realm." Professor Holland said.

"As long as you successfully pass the tenth layer of the Supernatural Realm, you will be freed from your status as freshmen and become true supernaturals. At the same time, the Supernatural Realm will no longer be mandatory for you. You can go to the Supernatural Realm on the opening day of each month if you want, or you can choose not to go if you don't want to."

Upon hearing this, many students in the classroom looked relaxed.

Since becoming supernatural freshmen, their nerves had been constantly on edge.

Because the first ten layers of the supernatural realm were mandatory and held once a month, this increased students' stress levels.

They had to train hard and be extremely focused to survive to this day.

Now, the "hard times" were finally coming to an end, and their eyes seemed to have a light in them.

Professor Holland, however, then said seriously. "However, now is not the time to relax. On the contrary, you must train even harder and improve yourselves in the coming days."

"Because the tenth layer of the supernatural realm is far more dangerous than the previous nine layers, and it is a solo layer."

"That's right. In the tenth layer of the Supernatural Realm, you will no longer have teammates. You will enter the Supernatural Realm alone."

"The level of danger has increased significantly, and there are no teammates to help you... This will be the most dangerous and difficult test you have ever faced."

These words stunned most of the students in the class.

They hadn't expected that the tenth layer of the supernatural realm would be a solo realm.

No team allowed.

Indeed, they were used to relying on their teammates, and if it were a solo adventure in the Supernatural Realm, they would feel quite lost.

Even Matthew showed a surprised expression.

He wasn't worried about his safety.

But... in a solo Supernatural Realm, should he still continue to compete for the SSS-grade mission rating?

If, in the solo Supernatural Realm, his final score surpassed Natalie's and still received an SSS-grade mission rating, at that point, even a fool would know there's something wrong about it, right?

Even if he claimed to be the "super brain," it wouldn't make sense.

In the supernatural realm, brains alone were not enough. Many obstacles must be overcome with power.
