Third Person POV
Selene turned to him then, her eyes reflecting the pale light of the rising sun, steady and resolute, yet shadowed by knowledge hard won. "When it comes," she said softly, "we will pay the price balance demands, because the world has already begun to collect, and the first mark has been made on a path that leads directly toward the convergence."
The word settled between Selene and Lucian like a living thing, heavy with meaning and consequence. The convergence was not a myth whispered by frightened apprentices or an exaggeration born from old prophecies. It was a truth written into the oldest grimoires and carved into the bones of the world itself, a point where divine influence, mortal will, and forbidden power collided so violently that reality bent under the strain. It was the place where balance was not negotiated but enforced, often through loss.
