Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 Rose Avenue 2

Lady Lysa Tully's breathing grew heavier, and with a dazed expression, she lifted her skirt.

Petyr Baelish reached out to stop Lady Lysa Tully's movement.

"Lysa."

Petyr's magnetic call seemed to awaken a sliver of Lysa's reason.

Petyr curled his lips, his face filled with moving affection: "Lysa, come with me."

Hidden deep within Petyr's heart was cold rationality; he adopted different roles in front of different people, playing the one most advantageous to himself.

No matter how impulsive Petyr was, he wouldn't engage in such activities near the stairs of the Prime Minister's Tower. He didn't tell Lysa that the location was unsuitable because he always found it hard to refuse Lysa's affection.

Petyr's elegance remained intoxicating: "There's a room over there that might somewhat match your beauty, my Miss Lysa."

Lysa's cheeks flushed even redder. In his heart, she would forever be Miss Lysa Tully of Riverrun; he loved so deeply!

We will be together eventually!

Lysa shyly placed her plump hand gently on Petyr's outstretched palm.

Petyr's eyes subtly flickered.

"Petyr, you haven't come to see me for several days."

Lysa's tone carried a hint of complaint, but more so, bashfulness.

Given Lysa's current age and appearance, her expression, actions, and tone at this moment were very incongruous, but Petyr, with his strong inner resolve, still maintained an unchanging look of affection on his face.

Petyr clasped Lysa's hand tightly: "I'm doing all this to protect our future. For Lysa, I can endure."

Lysa thought of how Petyr, for her sake, had been humble and subservient by her husband's side for over a decade, always at his beck and call.

Lysa understood very well that Petyr never liked this; he endured it all silently for her.

Lysa's heart was filled with love. She didn't know what she could do for Petyr to repay his deep affection.

All she could do now was this; Lysa once again lowered herself.

Petyr's smile on his face froze slightly.

After a while, it bounced.

Lysa's gaze swept downwards: "My Littlefinger is very lively today."

Lysa was speaking intimate words, but when Petyr heard "Littlefinger" from Lysa's mouth, his smile still stiffened for a moment.

Petyr wrapped an arm around Lysa and took a step: "My Lysa, you might not be able to sleep soundly all night."

"Petyr, my knight, I love to sleep in."

A certain place in the Red Keep.

Varys gazed at the note in his hand.

Under the shadows cast by candlelight, the expressionless Varys gave off a cold feeling.

"Lord Varys, Lady Arryn and Earl Petyr have entered the room together. Do you need to arrange for someone to listen in?"

Varys put down the note, nodded slightly, and habitually clasped his hands: "Heh, when men and women are overcome by passion, they are most likely to reveal valuable information."

"As you command, Lord Varys."

Varys then said: "Has the City Watch's investigation report been delivered to Janos?"

"It has been delivered. Everything was done according to your wishes, and all went smoothly!"

"Don't be careless. This matter must be concluded perfectly. In the future, do not arrange anyone where Baron Green is present."

"Then... as you command."

Varys rose from his chair and slowly walked to the window: "No need to be puzzled, there are always strange people in this world."

"Lord Varys, I'm worried about the future..."

Varys's indifferent eyes gazed at the darkness outside the window: "Unless the entire Red Keep is torn down, no one can do it. My little birds are still everywhere."

King's Landing, Queen's Quarter, City Watch Barracks.

Follard sat leaning against the wall, looking a bit dispirited.

Follard looked at Leyton walking towards him and said: "Leyton, have you finished distributing the silver stags to them?"

Leyton stretched and, imitating Follard, leaned against the wall: "Yes, they all cooperated with you this time. Although there were no Lannister's Red Cloaks to help, it was even easier."

Follard laughed loudly: "I'd be very willing too. I wish Her Royal Highness would pass by here every day!"

Leyton smiled and nodded: "Her Royal Highness has returned to the Red Keep. I don't know when the next time will be, but having something to look forward to is good."

Leyton then asked: "What about you? How's their training?"

Follard shook his head and said: "I can only say they are still obedient."

"Follard, they are not Crag's Point men, and the people they will have to deal with in the future are different."

Follard nodded helplessly: "Don't worry, Leyton! I just feel bored, and I miss Whispering City a bit."

Leyton shrugged: "I miss it too. I haven't hunted in a long time. It's... too quiet here, it makes one unaccustomed."

"Do you think Lord Green will encounter trouble in the south?"

Leyton pondered seriously for a moment and said: "I can only say there won't be big trouble, after all, Lord Green is visiting in the name of Her Royal Highness."

Follard leaned closer to Leyton, lowering his voice: "Hehe, that's hard to say."

Leyton looked at Follard with a puzzled expression.

"The trouble isn't about how others are, but about Lord Green..."

Riverlands, Rose Avenue.

Green and his group traveled south along Rose Avenue. As they got closer to Highgarden, they encountered many Riverlands patrol teams.

Green frowned slightly.

The armor rate of the Riverlands soldiers caught Green's attention.

A Riverlands patrol team consisted of 12 to 15 cavalrymen. Green had already encountered more than a dozen such teams, and every cavalryman was clad in full plate armor.

Populous and wealthy.

This was the first impression the Riverlands gave Green.

It was nearing noon, and Green and his group slowed down, preparing to find a place to rest.

Soon after, Angai, who was scouting ahead, rode back to the team.

"Lord Green, there's a village ahead, and a noble lady there is distributing food to the villagers."

Free food? Angai's words immediately captivated Monton Wei Shui.

"Are there any banners? Did you get a clear look at the noble lady's appearance?"

"I didn't see any banners. Because I was worried about causing misunderstanding, I only looked from afar. She's a brown-haired lady in a green dress."

Green raised an eyebrow and pulled on the reins.

"We won't enter the village. Is there a suitable resting spot ahead?"

Not entering the village? Is Lord Green doing this so as not to disturb the villagers receiving food?

Lord Green is always so benevolent!

Angai immediately replied: "There's a small path to the right ahead. Follow it for a bit and you'll find a small river. That place is also very suitable for resting."

Green nodded slightly, waved his hand, and announced loudly: "Depart!"
