Chapter 265 - Chapter 265

"Gwen! Nice work!" Ryuuto cheered, already sprinting toward the next coordinate with Gwen at his side. No time to mourn the first corpse—this was a full-blown invasion, and the real fight was just starting.

The subway station looked like a slaughterhouse. Bodies were strewn everywhere; faces frozen in shock, eyes still wide with disbelief. The smell of blood hung thick in the air.

Then a hulking green monster stepped into view—Ross. Not General Ross in a uniform, but Ross twisted into a lizard-man: rippling green muscles, razor claws, and a massive tail whipping behind him. He grinned with a feral hunger, tapping a display where green dots blinked out one by one. He was getting faster. He wanted blood.

"Keep killing! Kill more! Afterwards I'll finish you myself!" Ross snarled, claws scraping sparks off the platform.

"Just what we wanted," Ryuuto drawled, stepping out as dozens of his shadow-clones flickered into existence behind him like a sudden crowd. Gwen flanked him—silent, lethal, ready.

Ross's pupils went narrow. Madness flared in him, but Ryuuto's grin only widened. "So you grow scales and call it evolution—did Connors help you get the makeover?"

Ross snapped. "Shut up! Today I kill you and your friends slowly. I'll make it worse than death."

"Nice speech, but wrong audience," Ryuuto said, stepping forward. He was calm to the bone—detached, cocky, dangerous. "Tell us where Connors is. Now. Or I'll feed you to the fish."

Ross lunged, knocking over a heavy iron pillar. It crashed toward Ryuuto and Gwen like a falling mountain.

"Shadow Clones!" Ryuuto barked. Over a dozen doppelgängers exploded outward to catch the pillar, steadying it like living props.

"Earth Style — Light & Heavy Rock Fist!" Ryuuto roared, seals snapping through the air. He surged forward, chakra humming beneath his skin. "Gwen—side by side!"

"Got it!" Gwen shot two thick web-lines like whips. They wrapped around Ross's legs and the iron pillar, shredding concrete and sending debris flying.

Ross reared to smash them, eyes wild. Then Ryuuto closed the distance in a blur—two fists, like boulders, launched straight into the monster's face.

Smack. The station echoed. Ross staggered, blood and tile dust spraying. Gwen pressed the advantage, a flurry of acrobatic strikes and snapping webs that pinned the monster step by step. Ryuuto kept his expression smug, every blow precise, every movement ruthless and theatrical.

The fight had barely begun, but Ryuuto and Gwen were already turning the subway into a proving ground: savage, efficient, and infuriatingly effective. The invasion might have been planned—but their counterstrike hit even faster.

[Ding! Shion: Host, Shadow Clone formation at 16% chakra—stability optimal.]

Ryuuto smirked at Shion's cheerfully lazy tone in his head, then dove back into the fray.
