"Hello? Brother, where are you? Aren't you coming home?"
"Hehe, I'm on my way."
Ryuuto's phone buzzed, and he grinned as Guy Dee's voice filled his ears.
"Why, miss me already? I was planning to grab some good food first… but if you want me to hurry, fine, I'll skip it!"
"No! Brother, just bring it quickly—we can eat together!"
"Alright, what do you and Susan want?"
After hanging up, Ryuuto swung by a KFC, grabbing enough fried chicken and snacks to feed a small army. Two huge bags in hand, he strolled down the street—but something prickled at his senses.
He paused abruptly, eyes scanning the sky. Passersby glanced up, whispering, a little unsettled by his sudden halt.
Ryuuto didn't bother explaining. The corner of his mouth twitched into a sly grin as he slipped into a nearby alley.
"Summoning Technique!"
He bit his finger, spread a contract scroll onto the ground, and sealed it with a practiced motion.
"Bang!" Two ninja dogs—one big, one small—popped into existence. Both adorable, yet their faces immediately hardened at the sight of him.
"Why you again? Where's Master Kakashi?" the bigger one barked, clearly annoyed.
"Don't waste my time with complaints. You know the deal—I'm your new master now!" Ryuuto tossed one of the food bags at them, crossing his arms with an overly stern expression.
"Nope!" the duo shouted in unison, paws raised.
"You'll give us two bones as travel expenses, or we don't move a paw!"
Ryuuto groaned. "Fine! Ten bones after it's done, happy?"
"Deal! Bark!"
They slammed their paws against his fist, took the bags, and darted off, vanishing in an instant. Ryuuto shook his head, muttering, Useless… like dealing with a broken system.
He didn't linger. The suburbs called—he had sensed an incoming presence of terrifying power.
Hundreds of meters above New York, a figure descended from the clouds: a tall man in shining armor, a colossal sword strapped to his side, eyes sharp and deadly. The air around him throbbed with sheer authority.
Found him… Is that kid really in New York? Hmph… good speed, but not enough, Heimdall murmured, eyes gleaming gold, locking onto Ryuuto's rapid movement.
With a sneer, Heimdall clenched his fists, his aura exploding outward. He dove like a meteor, the sky roaring in response as wind and shockwaves battered the streets below. Pedestrians froze, phones lifted to capture the scene.
"Report, Charles! A massive energy spike just appeared over New York—speed is insane! Likely an invading threat!"
Inside the X-Men headquarters, Jean Grey's head snapped up from her console. "On it, Professor!"
"Details?" Charles asked, pushing up his glasses, eyes narrowing at the chaotic readings.
"The interference is extreme—signal's barely holding! But it's heading straight for the southern suburbs… Captain Ryuuto is there!"
Jean's voice trembled with worry. "I… I think things are about to get bad."
Charles' gaze hardened. "Oluo, Scott, get moving—support Captain Ryuuto immediately!"
"Understood!" The two heroes dashed off, muscles coiling with anticipation. A battle was inevitable.
Meanwhile, Ryuuto stood in a quiet clearing, seemingly relaxed. He tilted his head, gazing up at the approaching armored threat.
"Finally decided to show up. Slower than I expected… making me wait in vain," he muttered, smirking.
Boom! Dust erupted, wind howled, and the ground split with the impact of Heimdall's descent. A massive circular crater formed, radiating devastation and oppressive energy, a silent warning to anyone who dared step closer.
Ryuuto's grin widened. This… is going to be fun.
