Chapter 17 - The Divine Groves of Amravati

After a while, Jaswant found himself standing in the quiet garden behind the mansion, where the morning sunlight filtered through the leaves, scattering down and making the dew on the grass shimmer like tiny stars.

He took a deep breath — the scent of soil and the refreshing morning air calmed him for a moment. Then, spreading his hands wide, he absorbed the entire scene into his mind.

This was it — the moment to test the power of his element, to see how much control he truly had over it.

That would show him how much more he still needed to master his element.

He opened his eyes with determination, and the air around him stirred faintly. A soft rustle spread through the stillness as a green, shimmering energy began to flicker at his fingertips — alive, untamed, yet waiting for his command.

Jaswant looked closely at his glowing green fingers and noticed that as their light intensified, the temple mark engraved on his palm began to emit a faint golden glow. For a moment, Jaswant was surprised — but soon, a smile appeared on his face.

Then, changing his stance, he began forming a seal. As soon as it was complete, he thrust his hands into the ground. A dark green light burst forth but vanished after traveling only a short distance.

As a result, the ground merely trembled slightly — barely noticeable a mere quiver beneath his feet. Apart from that faint vibration, there was no disturbance on the surface. Jaswant immediately realized that his attack had failed — which clearly meant he still didn't know how to use his element properly.

But just a few seconds later, several crawling creatures suddenly started emerging from underground, fleeing in all directions. Jaswant, however, remained unaware of it all.

A short while earlier —

When Jaswant had formed the seal and sent his power into the ground, a surge of deep green energy had traveled down through the earth. The flow of that energy was so intense that deep beneath the surface, the soil had begun to crumble and tear apart. This was why the burrowing creatures — who usually preferred to stay underground — had fled in panic.

Though the disturbance had occurred far below the surface, such creatures were highly sensitive to danger, and sensing it, they immediately ran for their lives.

Unaware of all this, Jaswant was about to try again when a sudden rustle came from the bushes. Startled by the sound, he turned toward it — but saw no one there.

Finding no one near the bushes only made Jaswant even more cautious. As he focused more intently, his sharp eyes caught a faint, shadowy figure. He rushed toward it, calling out in a deep voice,

"Who's there? Who's there in the bushes? Come out!"

But as Jaswant moved closer, the shadow swiftly disappeared from his sight.

He stood there, his eyes filled with questions, staring in the direction where the shadow had vanished.

Jaswant couldn't stop himself from wondering —

"Who was that man, secretly watching me?

Until today, I never sensed anyone's presence around me like this… so why today?

Could Vihaan and his mother Mandira be behind this? Hmm… something's definitely off. Anyway, sooner or later, I'll find out.

Alright Jaswant, back to training."

The surroundings once again fell silent,

and Jaswant decided to ignore all those thoughts — returning his focus to training.

He took his position once more.

Adjusting the seal on his palms, Jaswant activated his elemental power again and pressed his hands into the ground.

This time, instead of forcing them deep, he placed them lightly upon the surface.

His energy did not sink downward — it spread across the garden like ripples on still water.

Suddenly, the wind stopped.

Before Jaswant could grasp what was happening, the sky above him shimmered —

and then, a divine chime echoed in his ears, alive and resonant.

[Heaven's Paradise — "Origin of Amravati."]

At once, a radiant light surrounded him.

When the brilliance faded, Jaswant found himself standing in a realm bathed in starlight and woven from golden skies.

Before him floated five colossal trees — red, white, blue, golden, and silver —

their branches stretching beyond the clouds.

Then the system's voice resounded:

"These are the Five Divine Trees of Amravati — the five pillars that uphold all creation."

The scene deepened, and Jaswant's breath halted as the mist parted — revealing the first tree.

Mandara — The Tree of Purity.

Before him stood a white tree — its leaves gleaming like sunlight.

From every flower came a gentle sound, driving away darkness itself.

"Mandara, the first tree of heaven — the light that burns away illusion.

Its fragrance turns ignorance into knowledge."

Jaswant felt his heart grow lighter — warmth spreading through his soul, dissolving every doubt.

Wherever Mandara bloomed, despair could not exist.

Mandara was the symbol of hope amidst hopelessness.

Then appeared a golden tree, its buds glowing like the dawn.

The air brimmed with peace — a serenity woven from love and yearning —

love so profound it could move the universe itself.

"Born of love and desire — Parijata remembers every vow ever taken in the name of love.

Those whose hearts are pure may find its blossoms within their dreams."

Jaswant watched as petals scattered and turned into faces he once loved — fleeting, fragile, yet radiant.

He realized — emotion itself is a sacred power. The purer the feeling, the purer the love.

The third tree rose amidst the clouds — a mountain of living green light.

Its roots spread through the ground like glowing veins of life — breathing creation into barren lands.

"Santāna — the breath of rebirth.

Each of its leaves gives birth to a new beginning.

Within it lies the power to heal and to create — turning every ending into a new dawn."

Jaswant felt irresistibly drawn toward the tree —

his Wood Element resonating so deeply with it that the dimension around him pulsed with the rhythm of his heartbeat.

A gentle system chime echoed —

"Your spirit is in harmony with Santāna — the tree of life and renewal."

After the third tree, infinite golden light appeared.

At the center of heaven stood Kalpavriksha,

its roots and branches stretching beyond imagination.

Its leaves shimmered like constellations, each holding a galaxy within.

"Kalpavriksha is the very will of creation —

where thought takes form, and desire becomes reality.

But beware, mortal — every wish carries the weight of its consequence."

As Jaswant viewed the system panel, he instinctively reached out —

a golden leaf drifted into his palm, glowing softly —

then melted into his skin.

A message appeared before him, and Jaswant's expression changed.

"What? A locked message? Then why send it at all?

Maybe… it's an error?"

With that question, the fifth tree emerged —

its trunk gleaming silver, its bark shining like moonlight,

and from it rose a fragrance that calmed the soul itself.

Once again, the information panel unfolded:

"Harichandana — it purifies the negativity born from sin, soothes sorrow, and connects human consciousness to the divine.

Those who meditate beneath it become immune to all forms of negativity."

As its fragrance reached him, Jaswant's vision blurred —

and in that instant, he felt all life as one —

every leaf, every breath, every soul — beating in the same rhythm.

---

Now all five trees stood together —

their light merging into one vast, radiant aura,

like the World Tree of Amravati itself.

The system's voice spoke once more:

"These are the five bearers of cosmic essence — Purity, Devotion, Renewal, Manifestation, and Serenity.

Together, they form the root of existence.

But the balance of Amravati is broken… and the Five Groves are fading."

The voice deepened — thunder rumbling through the heavens as it revealed a divine secret.

"Bearer of the Temple of Lost Memories —

you must seek out the Five Divine Groves.

Awaken them… or creation itself will wither."

At those words, the five black symbols on Jaswant's hand —

the marks of the Temple of Lost Memories —

burst into radiant hues of white, gold, green, crimson, and silver.

Instantly, a quest window appeared before him:

---

Main Quest Unlocked: The Divine Grove of Amravati — City of Heaven

Objective: Restore the Five Bearers of Creation and reawaken the Heart of Heaven.

After that, the space around him began to crack and shimmer — and in the very next moment, Jaswant found himself back in the same garden.

As he returned from that realm, another quest window appeared before him.

The system had now assigned him several sub-quests to help him complete his main quest.

One by one, the sub-quests began to appear before his eyes:

Sub-Quest 1:

Raise your level from lv. 8 to lv. 10

Sub-Quest 2:

Purify a corrupted life-source (a dying forest, a diseased soul, or a cursed spring).

Sub-Quest 3:

Offer your own life-force to restart the flow of creation.
