Chapter 79 - The Hunt is On

As Salvatore finished his promise, a figure emerged from the shadows, limping heavily. It was Alessandro, his face pale and gaunt, but undeniably alive. Enzo gasped, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Alessandro?" Enzo stammered, "But... I saw you fall. The bullets..." Alessandro offered a weak smile, "They didn't kill me, Enzo. Though they certainly tried their best." Salvatore rushed towards his son, embracing him tightly. "Alessandro, my son! You're alive! But how? What happened?" Alessandro winced as his father's embrace pressed against his wounds. "It's a long story, Papa," he said, his voice raspy. "But Enzo is right. The Shadow Wolves are responsible. And they're not done yet." He explained how Clara, seeing him fall, had not run as Enzo had thought, but instead, she had acted as a diversion, drawing the Shadow Wolves away from him while he was unconscious. She had managed to drag him to a hidden crevice, shielding him from further harm. "Clara saved my life," Alessandro said, his voice filled with emotion. "But she was captured. I don't know where they've taken her." Salvatore's face hardened. "They'll pay for this," he growled. "They'll pay for hurting my son, and for taking the woman he loves." Enzo, still reeling from the shock of Alessandro's survival, stepped forward. "I know where they might have taken her," he said. "There's an old abandoned warehouse on the other side of the city. The Shadow Wolves used to use it as a base of operations." Alessandro nodded. "That's where we'll find her," he said, his eyes filled with determination. "We have to save her, Papa. I can't lose her." Salvatore placed a hand on his son's shoulder, his gaze unwavering. "We'll get her back, Alessandro. I promise you. We'll bring her home, and we'll make the Shadow Wolves regret the day they ever crossed the Rossi family." Together, the three men set off into the night, their hearts filled with a mixture of hope and dread. Alessandro was alive, but Clara was in danger. And they would stop at nothing to save her. The hunt was on, and this time, it was personal.
