Lin Chen Magic Cultivation

Magic Awakening sequence

Summoning Magic (Primal Resonance)

Primal Resonance is an arcane-biological anomaly that occurs when the bond between the summoner and the contracted beast exceeds the limits of the spiritual contract. Instead of merely sharing energy, the summoner's soul enters into resonance with the creature's elemental core, triggering an involuntary elemental awakening.

Lin Chen Summoned Beasts:

Di Quier: Three Eyed Golden Lion

This majestic soul beast possesses a dazzling golden coat and a semi-transparent body that radiated a unique, almost divine presence.

Though its overall form resembles that of a lion, its claws were unmistakably draconic, wreathed in golden flames that burned with supernatural intensity. Its jaw was longer than that of typical lion-type soul beasts, and beneath its fur shimmered fine golden scales—a testament to its ancestral lineage.

The creature's most distinctive feature is it vertical slit on its forehead, where its third eye rests. While its two primary eyes gleamed gold, the central eye emitted a hypnotic red glow, capable of piercing both mind and soul.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion commanded two extreme elements: Ultimate Fire and Ultimate Light.

A direct descendant of the Golden Dragons, this beast inherited a formidable physique and unparalleled spiritual power, making it one of the most coveted and feared entities in the spiritual realm.

Yin Er: Dark Blue Silver Emperor

The Dark Blue Silver Emperor is a variation of Blue Silver Grass. It is an evil spirit Beast due to its innate devouring characteristic. Unlike normal Blue Silver Grass, this spirit is very strong and also possesses the Royal Blue Silver Grass bloodline.

The Dark Blue silver Emperor greatest strength was that it became stronger the more it fought. The user could nourish his or her own body by draining their enemies' life and soul power. The Blue silver Grass would carry out its own filtering in the process of absorption. This was the special characteristic of this Plant.

Summoned Beasts:

Beasts contracted on the Summoning Plane vary in rank depending on the Mage's mental power, but only reach Warrior Rank as the limit.

It is impossible for a normal Mage to contract a Commander or Monarch-level creature on their first summon.

Contracted Beasts:

Beasts born in the Human Plane with which a human can form a contract. By signing a contract, they will inhabit a space similar to a room.

The most well-known example is Mo Fan's Fiery Hetera, the original MC. She started at Warrior rank and her maximum potential is at least Great-rank Monarch.

The Grand Monarch rank is the peak of what she can achieve by fully utilizing all the resources Mo Fan has obtained throughout the novel.

If, for example, the Flame Belle had access to elements from outside the magical world, she could reach the peak of a High-Level Emperor.

Keeping in mind that in the Versatile Mage Universe, there are only three creatures at that rank:

The Lord of Bermuda The Lord of the Sahara The Lord of Antarctic

However, these creatures lack hostile intentions toward humanity, as they gain nothing by interfering with humans.

The same applies to the rulers of planes like the Dark Plane and the Plane of Summoning; they do not intervene in the development of the planet.

We know that the Lord of the Dark Plane is Wentai, a former Saint of the Parthenon. He decided to take over the Dark Plane in order to control the other monarchs and cut off their interference with the mortal world. Thus stabilizing it.

As for the Plane of Summoning, only Pang Lai has been able to come into contact with the Ruler of the Fallen Beast Realm, although it was simply a "touch," as the creature allowed it.

According to Mo Fan, he sensed several existences in the Summoning Plane that could play with Emperor-level beasts as if they were toys. Therefore, it is suggested that the Summoning Plane could be more powerful than the Dark Plane.

Depending on the level at which the mage awakened the summoning element, the contracted beast's rank can change to a maximum of Great Commander rank.

Great Commanders: It usually takes a large party of High Tier Mages to fight off. Examples are Dreadful Curse Cerberus, Four lives Salamander Tiger, Big Skeleton Official and Flying Creek Snow wolf in Egypt.

An exception is Mo Fan, the original MC, as he contracted Apas, the third Medusa Princess, at Grand Monarch rank. It was thanks to the intervention of the Queen of the Underworld (one of the Undead Emperor's subordinates) that Mo Fan was able to force the Contract.

Great Monarch: are strong enough to threaten a large city and the area in its vicinity. They typically require multiple large parties of high tier Super Mages to be dealt with it. It requires 2 or more Peak Super Mages to fight or a Super Mage with a heaven seed.

If it weren't for her, he would have ended up as Apas's slave.

Fire Element (Ultimate Fire, Heavenly Seed)

The Fire element is considered one of the most powerful and sought-after options for a student's first Awakening, even surpassing rarer elements due to its accessibility and destructive power.

Power and Opportunities at the Novice Tier

High Destructive Power: At the Novice Tier, Fire is one of the two elements with the highest destructive power, the other being Lightning. This gives Fire mages an immediate advantage.

Capacity for Direct Damage: Unlike many other elements at this tier that cannot directly harm a Novice monster, Fire can.

Better Career Prospects: This early combat capability significantly increases the chances of a student joining a Bounty Hunter squad immediately after graduation, allowing them to gain real combat experience sooner.

Advantage of Abundance and Long-Term Power

Mass Combat Element: Although elements like Lightning and Space are immensely powerful, Fire is much more common. This abundance makes it the mainstay option for large-scale battles.

Example: In university, where students are at Mid-Tier and have their 2nd Awakening, a university can have over 200 Fire mages (5 Platoons) compared to just over a dozen Lightning mages. Space mages are extremely rare, with only 2 or 3 found per university.

Sustained Power: While elements like Earth and Wind gain more destructive power in later stages, Fire remains on par with Lightning and Space in terms of maximum destructive potential at higher levels.

In summary, Fire offers great immediate attack power at the Novice Tier, which translates into better combat opportunities and experience, and its high availability keeps it a crucial and powerful element at all stages.

NOVICE TIER MAGIC: FIRE BURST

Level 1 Fire Burst: Scorch (The spell creates a fireball that can be thrown)

Level 2 Fire burst: Burning Bones (The spell creates a fireball that can be thrown, but also tries to incinerate the target that was hit)

Level 3 Fire burst: Rupture (Fire comes out of the mages hand like a flamethrower)

Level 4 Fire burst: Greater Fire Burst (Same as above but with twice the diameter)

Level 5 Ultimate Fire burst: (Probably a spell like above but with twice the flame intensity)

Light Element (Ultimate Light, Heavenly Seed)

One of the 7 most commonly awakened Element at Novice Stage/Tier. Mages who awakens this Element were initially looked down upon. But from Mid-Tier/Stages onwards, it became one of the three strongest defensive magic together with Earth, Space and Chaos Elements.

Light Element can also double for offensive uses with an added effectiveness on Undead, it can counter Shadow Elements and to a smaller extent Curse Element. Some of the more powerful Undead can only be hurt by Light Element.

NOVICE MAGIC: ILLUMINATING

Level 1 illuminating: Cleanse (creates a human sized rain of light particles adept at dealing with dark element magic)

Level 2 illuminating: Flare (Shoots a beam of light that can reach all the way to the sky. Seems to remain even if the caster is dead.)

Level 3 illuminating: Blindness (Fires concentrated light energy to blind the target. Can also be used offensively.)

Plant Element

This Element specializes in environment control. With extensive knowledge on the element, skilled mages could even use it to repair injuries they receive such as mending bones, making this element versatile in defensive and supportive roles. It's very useful in detaining its opponents, however the main weakness with this element for area control is that it creates a lot of shadows where mages of the shadow element could escape.

NOVICE TIER MAGIC: VINES

Level 1 Vines: Entangling (creates a few vines that entangle the target's legs)

Level 2 Vines: Lashing (creates a few vines that can whip a target)

Level 3 Vines: Binding (completely restrains a target in vines)
