Chapter-60: boss room with level 6 goblin archer
She slowly came to the treasure chest wanting to check it. This is still a wooden treasure chest but the benefits inside should be stronger. Ratika took her time to pull out her spear out of the body of the big wild boar. The spear is slightly bent because of the heavy work load.
Ratika also took back the dagger and then started to pick the lock of the wooden treasure chest. No one in the group or the people outside the group that is Robert and Aisha walked to the fork road on the other side.
Ratika did not forget to take the sack that dropped after killing wild boar. She felt sad that she could not take the wild boar into the space to keep it fresh. But she has to wait to do that. She picked the lock and finally the lock was picked slowly.
She noticed that picking the lock slowly gave her more experience points and got deeper understanding of picking a lock. She carefully stood on the side to open the treasure chest. As soon as it opened a fire spell came out and Ratika dodged to the side.
The fire fell on the corpse of the wild boar and it was instantly burnt down. If the fire spell of Ratika reached level 8 or so then it might have the same power of the fire spell trap in the treasure chest.
Ratika was stunned but she moved quickly to the wooden treasure chest. This treasure chest that has bigger trap might have better so without looking at the things she quickly switched them with the things from the space.
Once again it was switched with a bottle of water, a loaf of bread and a magic energy recovery potion that is a minor one. Ratika took the things out of the treasure chest one by one and the attention of everyone turned towards her.
Ratika also took out the dungeon coins in the treasure chest as she cannot switch them using space. So they are the only original ones that are still kept. She put them in her pouch without a care and the food was left for others if they wanted.
If not Ratika put them in a makeshift net bag she carried with her to use. Even Robert came over to check. But most of their attention is towards the wild boar that is burning. Soon it turned into complete ash.
It only took few minutes for the entire process. Ratika did not show much concern. Even though an ingredient for her practice of cooking is wasted she doesn't mind it at all. This has frightened others and they will not dare to touch the treasure chests in the future.
Even now they came forward but did not get close to check what is inside the treasure chest. Ratika got few good things and she hid them. They are useful for her later. While at that she moved toward the fork end and sat down on a big rock to rest.
After all she did all the fight and others did not do anything. Ratika looked at the group and said. "Can you go over and see which side is a dead end and which side is the pathway. I don't think that you will face traps right away if you just take a look from a distance."
With her words others looked at each other without any intention of leaving or exploring. Ratika just looked at their appearance and did not say anything more. Actually she can directly move. She don't need to rest.
But she has to feign exhaustion covering up part of the strength she possesses. Ratika rested just few minutes before walking towards the dead end this time. She walked over and others did not follow her.
Ratika saw the dead end and walked back. This dead end is dangerous. It would shoot arrows from some groves on the stone walls. So she could not go there to check. There is no treasure there. It is a simple trap.
Ratika came back and moved towards the other end of the fork. This time others followed her. If Ratika did not come out after few minutes they would still follow in to check that direction if Ratika went to a room instead of a dead end.
Ratika walked over slowly to the entrance of the room and found that this is a big room with lot of space. She saw the stairs and also an erected platform on the side. On the platform there is an iron treasure chest.
Beside the treasure chest there is a level 6 goblin archer, below the erected platform there are 6 goblins in them 2 are at level 5 and 4 are at level 4. The level 5 goblins have extra leather armor on their bodies.
The level 4 goblins have sharp curved swords and clubs in their hands. Ratika saw them and stopped at this place. This is the boss room and Ratika has to fight them. But she cannot fight them all alone.
Even though she can do that she should not rush in stupidly. She has other plans and looked at the people behind her. She directly stated the situation. "There are too many for me to fight alone. If you did not come in to support then I cannot do anything. It is your choice.
Also we have to first kill that goblin archer if you want to survive. That is the biggest threat. I don't want to keep things for long. Just cover me for a little while and I am good at throwing javelin.
As long as I am at the right distance I can kill the goblin archer with my metal spear. But when I through the spear I need you to cover me. If not you can die on your own and I will retreat to find the other team to see if they are willing to cover me.
