"Beast God Di Tian?! It's actually you?!"

Ye Xishui shrieked, disbelief ringing in her voice.

She couldn't fathom it—how the Sovereign of all soul beasts would personally intervene here, of all places, and on behalf of their sworn enemy, Shrek Academy.

But disbelief changed nothing. Di Tian was here.

And his arrival instantly shattered the tense balance between the three Limit Douluos. Like storm clouds crushing the sky, his presence devoured the vast majority of their auras—leaving each of them barely a sliver of space to stand.

"Xishui."

Long Xiaoyao's expression turned grim as he shielded Ye Xishui behind him.

Internally, however, he breathed a quiet sigh of relief. At least now, he wouldn't have to kill his old friend Mu En with his own hands.

But the immediate concern was survival—for both himself and Xishui.

Staring at Di Tian, who stood as calm as a summer breeze, both Long Xiaoyao and Ye Xishui braced themselves to the utmost. After all, Di Tian—the Strongest Fierce Beast—possessed over 800,000 years of cultivation. Though not yet a god, he was leagues beyond ordinary Limit Douluos.

His titles—Strongest in the Continent, Beast God—spoke for themselves.

And just moments ago, his effortless space-tearing teleportation had laid bare the terrifying depth of his power.

"Hmph—Dark Holy Dragon… Bloody Demon Puppet."

Di Tian's cold laugh carried utter disdain for the former—and chilling killing intent for the latter.

He recognized that evil martial soul all too well.

It evolved by devouring souls. But did it consume only human souls? Far more likely—it fed on soul beasts.

And all soul beasts were, in his eyes, his subjects.

"Xishui… we need to leave."

Long Xiaoyao frowned, glancing at Mu En, who watched him with quiet sorrow.

Di Tian's fury was now squarely aimed at Xishui—and its weight was undeniable. Even if Long Xiaoyao and Xishui joined forces, they stood no chance against the Beast God. And with Mu En still present, true cooperation was impossible.

If victory was hopeless… then retreat was the only choice.

He couldn't risk Xishui's life.

"Leave?" Ye Xishui blinked, stunned—though her fury hadn't faded.

This was their perfect opportunity. To flee now would be a waste.

But before she could decide—

"Leave? None of you are going anywhere." Di Tian's voice cut through like ice. "This is the first time you've called me to act, isn't it? Then I'll slay these two Limit Douluos."

Both Long Xiaoyao and Ye Xishui realized instantly: those last words weren't meant for them—but likely for Mu En.

First time? That implies there'll be more?!

Ye Xishui's face paled slightly.

But then, enraged by Di Tian's arrogance, she sneered, "Hah! Di Tian—do you even have that power?!"

"Try me," Di Tian replied coolly, "and you'll find out."

He moved.

Endless darkness surged like a tidal wave, swallowing the sky. An apocalyptic aura pressed down, as if dragging the world into an abyss.

His right hand lashed out—ripping the heavens apart. A colossal dragon claw descended upon them.

Simple. Brutal. Unadorned.

Yet it forced Long Xiaoyao to act immediately. Transforming into his Dark Holy Dragon True Body, he endured the crushing pressure of Di Tian's superior bloodline. His tail whipped—condensing dark energy, gathering heaven-and-earth essence—and met the claw head-on, tearing the atmosphere, warping space.

Beside him, Ye Xishui summoned her nine soul rings—six black, three crimson—and unfurled twelve phantom wings, slashing downward like a blood-drenched sword.

In the next instant, massive dragon wings erupted from Di Tian's back.

Black flames, over ten meters wide, roared from his maw—blasting straight at Ye Xishui.

Her blood-infused slash collided with the inferno, caught in the shockwave between Long Xiaoyao's tail and Di Tian's claw.

BOOOOM—!

The earth trembled, mountains shook—even though the battle raged in the sky, the aftershock alone was devastating.

Di Tian stood firm, unmoved.

But both Long Xiaoyao's and Ye Xishui's attacks shattered on impact.

In his golden eyes, only contempt remained.

With a single flap of his wings, the already-dark sky plunged into absolute blackness—no light, no hope.

Then Di Tian vanished into the void.

The next second—a cataclysmic surge of dark energy erupted.

To honor his promise, Di Tian unleashed his full power.

His human form dissolved—revealing a black dragon over 500 meters long, soaring through the storm-laden sky. Pure darkness rolled like an eternal eclipse—sunlight extinguished, heavens collapsing.

From the churning clouds, the dragon's head emerged.

Its obsidian scales merged with the void—only faint, deep-purple glimmers hinted at its presence. Its eyes opened—golden, terrifying, divine.

Ye Xishui and Long Xiaoyao's faces turned ashen.

Di Tian was serious now.

But it wasn't over.

ROOOAAR—!

A different dragon's roar shook the sky.

Mu En was gone—replaced by an ancient, white-scaled dragon, radiating pure light that remained utterly untouched by Di Tian's abyssal darkness.

"Xishui—GO!"

Long Xiaoyao seized her, activating his True Body—becoming a hundred-meter Dark Holy Dragon. His soul rings blazed as his darkness thickened into a swamp-like barrier, desperately holding back Di Tian and Mu En's combined assault. It lasted mere seconds before crumbling.

All to buy Xishui one chance to escape.

"Escape? Can you even run?"

Another claw descended—but this one was different.

Time itself seemed to freeze. Clouds stilled. Space locked.

Any energy near the claw vanished on contact—dissolving into nothingness.

Darkness? Bloodlight? All turned to ash.

"XIAOYAO!"

Ye Xishui screamed—her Bloody Demon Puppet True Body erupting into view.

But the moment it appeared, Mu En struck—golden light lancing down, wounding her instantly.

She ignored the pain. She knew—if Long Xiaoyao died here, it would be a true catastrophe.

Without hesitation, the moment she activated her True Body, she and Long Xiaoyao unleashed their ninth soul skills together—meeting Di Tian's Dragon God Claw head-on.

Then, wounded and bleeding, she seized Long Xiaoyao—

Swish—!

—and vanished as a streak of blood-red light, fleeing into the distance.

As for Zhang Peng and Feng Ling? They were already forgotten.

"…They actually escaped."

Di Tian glanced at his claw, brow furrowing slightly.

Without another word, he yanked his hand back.

Zhang Peng and Feng Ling—faces twisted in terror—were instantly snatched into his grip.

They wouldn't be escaping.

Dark energy surged into them. The two evil soul masters collapsed, unconscious—every trace of their soul power sealed by Di Tian's abyssal force.

With the threat neutralized, the group descended gently to the ground. Gu Tianchen opened his Void Gate, releasing the Shrek students.

"Lord Di Tian… thank you for your aid," Mu En said.

"No need," Di Tian replied, glancing at him. "I only came to honor a promise. But you… you don't have much time left."

Despite Di Tian dominating the battlefield, Mu En had burned immense energy—first fighting two Limit Douluos alone, then aiding Di Tian. His frail body had taken one blow too many.

"Ah… it's a pity we couldn't finish them," Mu En sighed, not with sorrow, but quiet resignation.

"Hmph."

Di Tian gave a faint smile—but said nothing. Instead, he walked over to Chen Junting and tossed the two unconscious evil soul masters at his feet. His words seemed directed at Chen Junting—but also meant for Mu En to hear:

"That Bloody Demon Puppet used a Blood Escape Technique—of course she got away. But I, Di Tian, keep my word. Next time they appear, I'll strike again—until I end them. As for these two… consider them interest on my debt."

The words stunned Yan Shaozhe and Xian Lin'er, who had just arrived.

Interest?

Using two Super Douluo-level evil soul masters as interest—because the main targets escaped?

That was an astronomical interest rate.

Chen Junting bowed slightly.

"Then I gratefully accept your generosity, Elder."

He gave Gu Tianchen a glance—prompting him to immediately open the Void Gate and swallow the unconscious duo inside.

"Boy," Di Tian said casually, already preparing to reclaim his reverse scale and leave, "anything else you'd like to say?"

To his surprise, Chen Junting nodded.

"Elder Di Tian… there is one matter."

"Oh? What is it?"

"The thing we discussed earlier… it's already showing signs."

"The thing we discussed…" Di Tian paused—then his eyes widened in shock.

"You mean—?!"

"Only signs… for now."

"Good. Good. Good." Di Tian uttered the word three times, his excitement barely contained. "I'll await your news. If you need aid, come to Star Dou Forest—I'll be there."

"I wouldn't dare refuse such kindness."

"Hmph."

Di Tian's gaze flickered—almost imperceptibly—toward Chen Junting's forehead. Then, instead of taking back his scale, he withdrew his hand.

"Keep this reverse scale for now. Let it serve as a link between us. And don't worry—the heavenly tribulation energy on it no longer affects you. Store it safely."

He turned—ripping open a spatial rift to depart.

But as he passed the barely-standing Mu En, he tossed out a casual remark:

"Dragon God Douluo—would you like a ride?"

To his surprise, Mu En chuckled—and accepted.

"Then I'll trouble the Beast God. Saves this old man some soul power."

Di Tian froze for a heartbeat.

He was just being polite…

But Mu En's acceptance spoke volumes—his body was failing. That he still floated in the air was pure willpower.

Shaking his head, Di Tian stepped into the rift.

Just before vanishing, he threw back one last line—half-mocking, half-respectful:

"If you've got the guts… then come along."
