But as the punishment ended and they were dismissed, Yuwen Jian turned to look up at Yueshuang's chambers. The window was dark, but he knew she was there, watching.
"She's not herself," Yuwen Lin muttered, pulling his robe back on, wincing slightly as the fabric touched his raw skin.
"That wasn't our sister."
"No," Yuwen Jian agreed quietly. "That was someone else, Yueshuang has never shown such animosity and her aura, was really pressing and I almost felt like choking. Like it was something powerful."
"Do you think…" Yuwen Lin hesitated. "Do you think she's been possessed?"
Yuwen Jian was silent for a long moment. "I don't know. But I intend to find out."
