Chapter 9 - Epic Finale of the Battle

The scene shifts to the battle between Younes and Rick.

Rick moves first.

A swift slide—an immediate horizontal slash from the right.

Younes plants his foot, raises his sword vertically—clash! Sparks fly.

Rick spins behind him—a quick stab toward the stomach.

Younes drops low, half-turn—his heel crashes into Rick's knee—Rick's balance falters slightly.

Rick retreats—two steps—then charges again with a double strike:

One from above… another from below.

Younes blocks the first—but the second lands directly on his shoulder—blood splatters.

Younes steps back half a pace… then lunges forward.

A fast overhead slash!

Rick raises his right arm—a heavy block—the blades grind violently.

Younes drives his body forward—a sharp elbow to Rick's face—solid impact—Rick's head snaps back.

Rick draws threads of shadow from the ground—

Dozens of black strings surge toward him.

Younes reacts instantly—slashes through them at blinding speed.

Each thread shatters on contact—but more keep coming.

Rick appears from the left—

A direct thrust!

Younes ducks, evading the strike—then counters with a rising slash—

Rick's chest splits open—blood sprays.

Rick vanishes into the shadows—then reappears behind Younes—

A quick strike to the back!

Younes spins with full force—his blade meets the attack—pressure builds—the ground cracks beneath their feet.

They separate for a heartbeat—then rush forward together.

Blows exchanged—

Younes parries swiftly, eyes darting with precision—

Rick attacks with relentless strength.

Their blades collide again and again—each strike heavy and precise.

Rick gathers every remaining shadow around him—

Channels it into his sword—

Then lunges—

A devastating slash of darkness!

Younes plants his feet—

Raises his sword with both hands—

The blades collide!

A violent tremor—massive burst of energy—pressure surges—both slide backward!

New shadow threads burst from below—

Younes cuts through them fast—his old wounds reopen under the strain.

Despite the bleeding… he advances!

A swift slash across Rick's neck—

A deep gash tears open—

Rick stumbles back half a step, trying to gather energy again.

Younes lunges forward—

A rapid combo of strikes—

One… two… three… four!

Rick blocks with difficulty—but his left arm goes numb from exhaustion.

A sudden knee to Rick's stomach—

Blood bursts from his mouth—his gaze flickers, dazed—

Younes drives his sword through Rick's foot—

The blade pierces clean through—

Rick screams in agony—

He staggers back, barely able to stand.

---

Younes stands barely upright—his body torn apart, blood flowing, breath heavy—but his eyes remain fixed on Rick.

Rick struggles to move, his injured foot trembling beneath him.

Suddenly, Younes raises his right hand.

A swirl of green energy forms in his palm—small at first, then growing—larger, denser—spinning violently.

The ground trembles beneath him.

The air grows heavy.

A green glow lights up his exhausted face—but his resolve does not waver.

Younes:

"I didn't want to use this move… I haven't mastered it yet… but this is my last card. It's time to use it."

Rick tries to run, but his wounded foot fails him. He feels the danger—casts his shadow to shield himself.

Younes (confidently):

"Did you think I hit your foot by accident? That was to keep you from running."

Rick tries to retreat—but he can't.

Rick (panicking):

"I can't move… What do I do?"

Younes:

"Why are you running? Why not fight like a warrior?"

Rick (in shock, whispering):

"He said… the same words I once told him…"

Younes:

"I forgot to mention… Don't go near a little girl again—if you survive this."

The orb explodes from his hand!

It transforms into a massive beam of energy—roaring through the air—slamming straight into Rick's body.

The impact is deafening!

Blinding light floods the entire castle.

The energy swallows Rick whole—no escape.

The ground erupts beneath them—stone shatters—air vibrates.

Rick screams in agony—the shadow melts away—no defense remains.

The energy consumes him completely.

No trace left—no body—no ash.

Only a vast crater… and heavy silence.

Younes drops to his knees—places a trembling hand on the ground—breathing slow but steady.

He's won.

---

[Scene – The battlefield after the storm.]

Younes rises with immense effort—his body drenched in blood, steps unsteady as if the air itself weighs him down.

Dust swirls around him. Drops of blood fall from his arms as he slowly walks toward Hina, still surrounded by her stone barrier.

Hina looks up at him—fear and relief mingling in her eyes.

Younes (smiling weakly):

"There's no need to use the stone anymore… Rick's defeated. It's over."

Hina (nervously):

"A-Are you okay?"

Younes (tired but steady):

"As long as I'm alive… I'm fine."

(Hina lowers her shield slightly, eyes filling with tears as she stares at his blood-stained face.)

Hina:

"Why did you do all this?"

(Younes steps closer, places his trembling hand gently on her head, and gazes at the rising sun beyond the ruins.)

Younes (calmly, with conviction):

"Because… it's my duty. I'm one of the Chosen."

(A quiet moment—heavy with emotion.)

In the distance, Rin, Elliot, Ethan, and Linia arrive.

They freeze upon seeing the destruction—cracked ground, shattered walls, devastation everywhere.

Ethan (in disbelief):

"What the hell happened here?"

(They spot Younes sitting on the ground, covered in blood, breathing heavily.)

Linia (rushing toward him):

"What happened!?"

Younes (lifting his head weakly):

"There was someone after the stone… I fought him. That's all."

Rin (regretful):

"So… you didn't run away like I thought."

Elliot (quietly):

"What about your injuries?"

Younes (slowly rising, staggering):

"As long as I can stand… it's nothing to worry about."

Kaiden runs in, stops cold as he sees the destruction.

Kaiden (shocked):

"What happened here… why all this ruin?"

(When he sees Hina, he rushes forward and hugs her tightly.)

Kaiden (trembling with relief):

"Thank god you're safe… I was so worried."

Hina (pushing him slightly):

"Let go… I'm fine… you're squeezing too hard."

Kaiden (turning toward Younes):

"What happened?"

Hina:

"A man named Rick attacked me… Younes saved me."

Kaiden (to Younes):

"Tha—"

Younes (interrupting, weakly):

"I know what you're going to say… don't. Just… pass me the bandages."

(Kaiden tosses the bandages to him—they hit his hand and fall. Younes bends down slowly to pick them up, breathing heavily.)

Kaiden (gratefully):

"Thank you… for saving my princess. She's everything to me."

(Younes starts wrapping the bandage around his torso—but wraps the wrong side.)

Elliot (whispering):

"Is he okay? He's wrapping the wrong side."

Ethan (calmly):

"Let's test if he's even conscious."

(Ethan approaches, raising two fingers in front of Younes.)

Ethan:

"Tell me—how many fingers am I holding up?"

Younes (trying to focus, vision blurry):

"You're… holding a dagger."

Ethan (startled):

"I'm holding up two fingers! What dagger!?"

Rin (scratching his head):

"Yeah… blood's definitely not reaching his brain."

(Younes sways, his face pale, barely staying upright.)

Linia (worried):

"Are you sure you're okay?"

Younes (weakly raising a thumb):

"I'm fine… don't worry…"

(He takes one step… stumbles… and collapses hard to the ground, unconscious.)

Rin (half-joking):

"Did he just die?"

Linia (snapping):

"Is now the time to joke!?"

Rin (lowering his head, apologetic):

"Alright… I won't."

(The camera slowly pans upward toward the sky—the sun now shining fully over the ruined arena where Younes lies motionless at its center.)

---

Rin (exhausted, rubbing his head):

"It's finally over… let's just go get some sleep."

Linia (protesting):

"Wait! What about Younes? We need to carry him inside!"

Rin (unbothered):

"I'm not doing it. If you care so much, do it yourself."

Linia (angrily):

"You and Elliot—help me carry him!"

Elliot (calmly):

"And why am I involved again?"

Kaiden (intervening):

"No need for all this arguing. You guys rest—I'll take care of it."

(The Chosen walk back into the castle one by one—exhaustion clear on their faces.)

Kaiden stands alone amidst the wreckage, surveying the destruction.

Kaiden (quietly, to himself):

"Fixing this place will take time… but it's fine. What matters is that everyone's safe."
