Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Oh no...

[Main Story Quest – "Return of Tsunade-sama" – Completed. Reward: Secret Art "Senju Clan Chakra Burst Technique" a.k.a. "Monster Strength."]

Uchiha Yorin: "Nice."

Seeing the system's reward and feeling the technique for localized chakra bursts slot into his mind, Yorin smiled with satisfaction.

Good thing he'd already beaten a few Uchiha prodigies and pushed his Stamina to 13; otherwise, with his old meager chakra pool he couldn't have supported a secret art like Monster Strength at all—much less stacked it on Lightning Chakra Mode to drive the Thunder–Fire Sword—a combo stacked on a combo.

Yorin tested it and confirmed: one-hand Monster Strength + Lightning Blade = 5× output; one-hand Monster Strength + Fire Blade = 5× output.

But if he used both hands at once—Monster Strength with Thunder–Fire dual blades—the multiplier doubles: 25× output. The power is absurd—enough to blast a Tailed Beast to kingdom come.

Of course, the price is absurd too. Fivefold output? Spend some chakra and take a breather.

Twenty-fivefold is a different league. The cost is all of Yorin's chakra—and even a nibble of lifespan. It's a super "last-resort, break-glass" move—Serious Punch–tier.

Doesn't matter. If trading a heavy wound for the enemy's death is on the table, Yorin won't hesitate. Plenty of people at death's door would trade if they could.

"When we get back I'll find Guy and learn the Eight Gates. With that stacked on what I've got, my physical attack kit is basically set."

Thinking this, Yorin said to Tsunade, "Alright, Tsunade-nee—if there's more to say, let's talk on the road.

If we're going to save the world and rebuild the Senju, we've got a lot to do."

Hearing that, Tsunade nodded without thinking. She might not have realized it herself, but in that moment her heart fell into step with Yorin's.

And so, Yorin's plan took a solid first step.

When he and Tsunade strolled back into town laughing, Orochimaru and Jiraiya—waiting there—were both stunned.

They hadn't expected it—Uchiha Yorin really had talked Tsunade into coming back.

How did he do that?

Alongside their confusion, the two shared a quiet sigh of relief.

No matter what, with Tsunade the healer on the team, survival odds jump—a win any way you slice it.

The difference was in their faces: Orochimaru just smiled faintly, satisfied with Yorin's performance; Jiraiya's feelings were more complicated.

He and Tsunade once had… something—not even enough to call a first love. It was long over, but seeing Yorin chatting and laughing with Tsunade still stirred him a little.

Noticing Jiraiya's complicated gaze, Tsunade rolled her eyes.

Times have changed, old man. Go clutch your Make-Out books for the rest of your life.

Catching that look, Jiraiya couldn't help a sigh:

"I remember that day—running under the sunset—that was my passing youth."

If you asked him, his answer would be: I loved.

But between a little personal love and a greater one, Jiraiya chose without hesitation—the love of the world, of the ninja lands, of everyone… and, uh, a fondness for club girls.

Orochimaru: "Enough clowning, Yorin-kun—give us the sitrep."

So they found a yakiniku joint and, over grilled meat, listened to Yorin brief Amegakure's situation.

A dead Hanzo in ruins. A frenzied Nagato not yet dead. A widow named Konan.

Minato had already given Jiraiya the short version—but not with Yorin's detail.

"Ah, Danzō. Him again."

At this point Tsunade's disgust was obvious. "Is there any worse person than him?"

"In a sense, he wasn't wrong," Orochimaru said coolly. "Akatsuki had huge potential. If you break Hanzo's ties with them and make them tear each other apart, that benefits Konoha. This time, Danzō just overplayed it."

"Overplaying it is one thing—the real sin is covering it up afterwards. Hiding the truth from the village, pretending nothing happened—that's vile," Yorin added.

"If Akatsuki grows its wings and attacks while Konoha's totally unprepared, we'll pay dearly.

"And when that happens, the old fossil Danzō will probably pop out and say: 'It's all the Hokage's fault.'"

Tsunade: "Exactly! That old fossil is just like that!"

Already tipsy, she smacked the table and shouted along with Yorin. Seeing her in "drunk rampage" mode, Shizune hugged Tonton tighter—just in case a happy swing turned the piglet into grilled pork belly.

They all piled on Danzō—except Jiraiya, who was silent. Not because he was being difficult—because pain hurts most when it's yours.

Nagato, Yahiko, Konan—he'd taught them three years. He sees them as pupils—as children. Hearing of Yahiko's death—again—still hurt.

Especially since the whole mess was tied to Konoha.

His beloved pupil on one side; his beloved village on the other. Even Jiraiya the self-styled hero didn't know what to do.

That was fine—Yorin did:

"Backstory's done. Now the plan." Uchiha Yorin said, "I sympathize deeply with Yahiko's fate. If possible, I'd like to coexist peacefully with Akatsuki.

"If they remain a peaceful relief organization, Konoha can support them—even ally with them…

"But if Nagato still means to conquer the world by force—especially to collect the Tailed Beasts—then we have to have words… Jiraiya-sensei, can you guarantee you can talk Nagato off this path?"

Yorin looked to Jiraiya.

He wanted to pound his chest and say, "Leave it to me!"

But he couldn't.

He was long past the age where a hot head writes checks his life can't cash.

"All I can say is: I'll do my utmost."

"I believe you," Yorin said. "If we can resolve this peacefully, that's best. If not… we use force.

"Best-case, we beat them then find a way to recruit them. They're talented, and like us, they love peace."

Jiraiya: "…"

He still felt an odd, ironic flavor in Yorin's "love peace," but after thinking it over—he had no better plan. He nodded, reluctantly accepting Yorin's approach.

Yorin then briefed them on the Six Paths' kits, to avoid a blindside wipe—and "leveled Jiraiya up" into Intel Jiraiya.

With everything in place, the anti-Akatsuki coalition was officially formed—and next came the march on Amegakure for the final showdown.
