Riding the last aftershock of Sage Art: Goemon—Uchiha Yorin enters the chat.
Body Flicker into Body Flicker into chained Body Flickers—Yorin flashed behind Nagato and brought both blades down, driving straight into Shinra Tensei.
Pierce the surface at a point—that was Yorin's plan. Nagato's Shinra Tensei excels at control and damage, but its flaw is the wide area—power isn't fully concentrated.
Shinra Tensei had just eaten Jiraiya-sensei's Goemon head on—so what happens if a Thunder–Fire Sword slams its back right now?!
"You underestimate me!"
Sensing Yorin's intent, Pain's voice carried a flicker of anger. "A god won't be felled by pitiful ants!"
Shinra Tensei vs. Chidori Blade + Fire Chakra Blade—Uchiha Two-Sword Style: Thunder–Fire Sword Dance!
With Lightning Chakra Mode stacked, it was the first time he'd used the upgraded dance in real combat—and it made the Sannin sit up.
Steel and thunder boomed; Yorin had to hop back—damn this is tough.
Even if the overall damage is lighter than Goemon, condensing all that force into two points should make his single-target hit harder than Jiraiya's finisher—
and it still couldn't break through. That Rinnegan's a pain.
—Doesn't matter. Again!
"Nagato!!!"
With a roar, Jiraiya launched their lineage's super finisher: Sage Art: Super Big Ball Rasengan.
Naruto made Rasengan famous, but as a lineage technique, this one was completed by Jiraiya and Namikaze… Nagato. Jiraiya knew it inside out.
His Super Big Ball Rasengan may not be Naruto-grade obscene, but it's worthy of S-rank.
"Useless—any attack is blown away by Shinra Tensei! Such is a god's might!!"
Feeling Yorin wind up Thunder–Fire again at his back, Pain—Nagato—was certain the result would be the same as before—
but it wasn't.
"!"
Broken. After straining to shove aside the Super Big Ball Rasengan, Shinra Tensei was torn open by Yorin's twin blades!
No worries if the normal dance can't do it—stack Monstrous Strength for a 5× multiplier on Thunder–Fire. How do you stop that? You don't, Nagato!
The deadly blades shredded the repulsion and kept driving for Deva Path's vitals—
His swing would hack Yahiko's body to pieces—make Nagato taste bereavement again!
"Damn you!!" Nagato roared—Pain can be rebuilt, but his best friend's body is his alone—no one touches it!
At the last instant another Path lunged in, blocking Yorin's line—buying Deva the time he needed.
Preta Path. The Six Paths' dedicated defender—the same freak Jiraiya had cursed to high heaven.
"Tch."
Yorin was held for a blink—just long enough for a light left-hand flick. The reversed stroke opened Preta's throat.
Preta's sealing absorption is unmatched—but Yorin's strike was physical, not ninjutsu, kid. No absorption. Only death—
or it would be, if Preta weren't already dead and puppeted.
Behind Yorin lay the Path with a slashed throat, half its head hanging. He flickered past it again, closing on Deva—
But that blink was enough.
Shinra Tensei again—Deva blasted Yorin back. Spam one move if it works; he could ride this one for life.
"Tch."
The window shut. Yorin didn't stick; he backstepped, bled force with footwork to soften the repulsion—then, on his retreat line, he hacked Preta to pieces.
Earlier the throat slash was flashy but meh—Preta was already dead. Bleeding throat is still bleeding throat; it won't kill him.
This time Yorin diced him—limb from limb. If he still "lived," Yorin would call him—hang on—
Right—Naraka Path. With King of Hell Restoration, even a dismembered Preta tossed into that maw and chewed comes back good as new.
"No problem—watch my finisher."
Bracing into the push, Yorin formed seals and inhaled—Dragon Flame Release Song to burn him to ash—
—!
Under normal conditions, one open mouth from Preta and forget Dragon Flame—even an Jogo's Flame gets eaten.
But Preta was in pieces, remember—no absorption this time.
Seeing the tactic, Nagato yanked in the other four Paths and opened the full fight—
still a step late.
Before they could act, Preta's remains had ignited—flames roaring sky-high. Even Ame's endless rain couldn't douse it.
"Nice!"
"At least one down!"
Seeing it, the others were heartened—even Orochimaru's "light contribution" picked up.
Anyway, after the first volley, Yorin and the Sannin held a slight edge.
At a cost.
As he landed, Yorin's chest went hot—he spat a mouthful of blood higher than Zhuge Liang.
No problem—his healer is the top of the top. Tsunade herself was shaky from hemophobia, but Katsuyu still functioned.
At the opening bell Katsuyu had flung out a carpet of split bodies. All Yorin had to do was grab one and drive—gross, sure, but it's not worse than "Aori-gei." He'd live.
"Tch." Seeing Yorin pop back to full, Pain's displeasure showed. His gaze snapped to Tsunade—dangerous.
As Yorin had planned to kill Naraka first, Nagato planned to kill the healer first.
In a teamfight, you focus heals first—that's just good tactics.
But before that—
"There!"
Yorin pointed. "Brother Nagato—you lose!"
His blade aimed to the flank of the field. Nagato's pupils contracted—because Yorin was pointing at his hiding place.
Exposed.
A moment earlier, when the twin blades were about to butcher Yahiko, Nagato's emotions surged, his chakra rippled—and Yorin felt it.
