Chapter 31 - Family Bonding [II]

Jason reclined against the couch, feigning indifference while Regina clasped her hands like a mischievous host presiding over a talk show.

"Alright," she began with deliberate seriousness. "We shall keep this civilized and dignified. No humiliating questions or absurd dares that would make Grandma faint upon hearing them."

Catherine appeared entertained.

"I appreciate the restraint. Last time you persuaded your cousin to dance atop the table."

Regina lifted her chin with theatrical pride.

"That was performance art, not embarrassment or anything of that nature."

Jason cast her a flat look, recalling the incident.

"That was pandemonium, and it nearly shattered a lamp."

It had occurred when she was very young and her cousin had come to visit, though the recollection was faint in his mind.

Daisy laughed softly.

"Let her begin. We can decide how to deal with her after her first choice."

"Fine," Regina said, surveying the group. "Grandma, truth or dare?"
