Rion Vale —POV
I sit silently, buried in my work as always, files spread across the polished desk in a neat chaos only I can navigate. The sunlight streams through the floor-to-ceiling glass wall, warm and golden, making the edges of the papers gleam. My eyes trace the lines of the documents, scanning, signing, approving—each stroke bringing me closer to finishing.
I work quickly, methodically, not because I have to, but because I want to. I want to clear everything so I can leave—so I can see my kitten. The thought alone pulls a small, almost imperceptible smile across my lips, softening the sharp edges of my usual focus
The door knocks softly.
"Come in."
Gen enters, posture straight, expression respectful. He walks across the marble floor and stops at my desk.
"Sir, here's the collaboration project—marketing approval file from Mr. Evander Lee."
He places the folder in front of me with both hands. "It just needs your signature."
I open the file. Heart Painkiller Project.
