"I didn't expect this," a dark and cold voice startled Elara as soon as she entered her apartment after a tiring day full of interviews and promotional meetings.
"Seriously, must you startle me like this? A little light would've been good," Elara mused before she turned on the lights and saw the man sitting in the corner of her hall, brooding with a displeased expression.
Her smile turned into a scowl as soon as she noticed his serious face. .
She walked to him and cupped his cheeks before asking him if everything was alright.
"How can everything be alright? I didn't want you to be so busy that you wouldn't have time for me," Daniel said grumpily and Elara chuckled at his words before she sat in his lap and placed her head on his chest.
"I am sorry, Mr. Macros. Tell me how can I make it up to you," Elara looked at him with clear eyes, and Daniel's anger dissipated immediately.
