Before she could overthink what he meant, they were called on stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Jimmy announced, "please welcome Hollywood's Golden Boy, George Rowe, and the breakout star who's got everyone talking, Lydia Hart!"
The applause was deafening as they walked onto the brightly lit stage, taking their seats on the iconic couch.
The first few minutes were a blur of light-hearted questions about the film. They joked, laughed, and even shared some behind the scenes stories that had the audience in stitches.
But then Jimmy leaned in, eyes gleaming with mischief. "George, rumor has it you didn't just act in this movie..you had a hand in writing it?"
Lydia's head snapped toward George. "Wait, what?"
George chuckled, looking sheepish yet proud. "Yeah... I might've helped write the script."
Lydia gaped. "You're kidding. George!"
The audience burst into laughter at her genuine shock.
"I didn't tell you because I wanted you to be yourself," George said, his tone shifting, softer now. "But this story... It's personal. It's our story, Lydia."
The room fell into a hush. Lydia's breath hitched.
"I've loved you since I was fifteen," George said, his voice steady, his eyes never leaving hers. "But back then, I had nothing. I couldn't give you the life you deserved. So I left. I worked, I waited. I told myself I'd come back when I was worthy of you."
Lydia's heart pounded in her chest.
"But when I finally was ready," George continued, "you weren't. And that's okay. Because I'd wait forever if I had to. But... I don't want to wait anymore."
The audience was holding its collective breath.
George turned fully to her, right there on live TV. "Lydia Hart, will you be my girlfriend?"
For a moment, Lydia was frozen. The cameras, the lights, the roaring crowd, it all faded. It was just George. Her Georgie.
She leaned in, cradled his face in her hands, and whispered so softly only he could hear, "Yes."
The studio exploded with cheers. It was electric.
In seconds, social media erupted.

hashtags flooded every platform. Clips of the moment went viral. The world was watching, and it was falling in love with their story.
Backstage, away from the chaos, George pulled Lydia into a tight embrace.
"You've just made me the happiest man alive," he murmured against her hair.
Lydia smiled, heart pounding. "Took you long enough, Georgie."
