Naturally they would immediately explode but Smith was using his ability to help them tolerate each other,but it was so incomplete that looked like water and oil as the matter and anti-matter didn't become one but it was like the kunfu symbol,but instead of black and white it was red and blue,they were both swirling around each other.
If Smith stop using his ability to form unity the energy will try to take each other out,just like the big bang theory
