Chapter 58 - Chapter 56 Strength Talks

"Hey, listen to me." ...no matter what happens down come down from tree, you might get hurt, don't worry we can handle anything.

Dust still hung throughout the air from the aftermath on fruits garden which turned into battlefield. After the echo of horn the valley had not remain peaceful as before. It was carrying the heavy air and tension in it.

One of the fallen guard twitched.

Limbo noticed it first.

The man's fingers scrapped weaking against the ground, his breath was shallow, eyes barely open but not life threatening. Blood splattered at the edge of his armor, yet he ignored that and his gazed was focused.

It didn't point towards Limbo... Not on the Gaja, even nor the Rin....

It Locked into the little child.

Sambha.

The guard's lips trembled not by fear.

...k...war.

The word slipped out broken, but they didn't carry any malice.

Sambha stiffened.

He slowly stepped forward without thinking, leaving Limbo's arms. With his small face he looked down at the wounded soldier, wide eyes full with softness, confusion but not a shred of fear.

You're hurt, sambha said softly.

The guard tired to move, but he failed, then forced his head down as far as his body allowed.

Forgive...us .. he whispered. "We...failed...." The soldier sob.

Sambha stood there

Limbo's chest tightened with strange feeling.

Sambha shook his head quickly. No... don't bow. Please.

He instantly turned towards Limbo, tugging his sleeve. "Brother... Don't hurt him."

Limbo didn't react just nodded. We won't.

But it was already too late for peace.

Footsteps thundered from the distance.

One... No two.

Maybe more than four or five.

Steel rang as armored figures emerged from between stone pillars and vines bridges, forming line with practised precision. Holding Spears and shield.

Gaja moved that soldier under the tree.

Sambha help too.

As Gaja moved him on other spot, the strange light started to glow around the arm of soldier. It wasn't the effect or miracle of his ability nor the tool.

The glow spread across the area where sambha was holding, the wounded soldier injury were Heal.

Before anyone could asked.

A ring closed around them.

Rin inhaled sharply. "That's...a lot."

Gaja rolled his shoulders, blades humming faintly. Good... I was starting to feel cold.

We're not hear for battle Rin spoke.

Then should we let them capture us?

Silence...

One of the newly arrived soldier knelt beside the injured man, scanning him with quick, and efficient movement. Then he lifted his narrowed eyes.

It skipped everyone and looked at Sambha.

Then at Limbo.

Then he scan the surroundings.

...so it's true, he said quietly.

His voice carry the authority.

You are the outsider who crossed the gate with him.

Several soldiers shifted instantly, tension sharpening.

Captain, one of them murmured.

Orders?

The man stood slowly.

"Capture them."

Rin's vines stirred. "We can explain..."

That doesn't matter, the captain intercepted, his eyes never leave the Limbo. You won't.

His gaze flickered briefly to sambha— just a fraction too long.

This land does not judge by words, only the strength matters.

Gaja scoffed. "Then you should have listened before attacking."

The captain rasid his hand.

Some soldier hesitated.

Others didn't.

A younger warrior stepped forward, eyes blazing with pride. They defiled the sacred grove . They touched the ramfal fruit . They raised weapons here.

He pointed at Limbo. Outsider lightning.

Unforgivable.

Before anyone could stop him. He charged forward.

The valley exploded again.

Gaja moved.

Steel met steel, shockwave cracking the ground as his blades intercepted the spear mid thurst. Rin's vines lashed outward, slamming shield aside, tearing formations apart.

Limbo stepped forward, with controlled and precise calculation.

Lightning strikes flashed once again.

Not lethal, but enough to overwhelmed them.

Three soldier's were thrown back, armor smoking as they skidded across stone.

Still, they came.

Not retreating.

Not fearing.

Fighting because this was who they were. Prideful and brave Warriors.

From a distance, high above the battlefield, a mysterious shadow stood unmoving.

Tall and Boad.

Eye's were like burning embers beneath a good of bone and fur. He watched.

Judge. And do nothing.

"Enough!"

A new senior voice cut through the clash.

Older than everyone, scar on face.

With heavy voice.

The soldiers froze- mid motion.

A white- hair elder stepped forward, leaning on a carved staff. His eyes swept across the battlefield, taking in the fallen guards, the outsiders, the child standing between them.

Kuwar, he said slowly.

Sambha turned.

Eld...

Relief flickered, then soon faded.

The elders gaze hardened.

Step away from them, that's not your place.

Sambha refuses to move.

I won't, he said. His small hand clenched.

A murmur ripple through the soldiers.

The captains jaw tightened. You...what have you do to him?

Sambha's voice shake. As he tried to say something... They didn't hurt me. They saved me.

Silence fell.

Heavy and uncomfortable.

Gaja exhaled sharply. See? Kid said it by himself.

The elder lifted his staff slightly.

That does not matter.

Everyone turned.

Whether they harmed your or not, the elder continued. They crossed the gate. They fought our warriors. They armed in our land.

His eyes settled on Limbo.

That is provocation.

Limbo met his gaze calmly.

We didn't come to conquer, he said. We came to return him... Safely.

The elder studies him for a moment.

Then...

No.

The word struck harder than steel.

The kuwar does not decide this.

Rin's breath caught. "You—"

The elder raised his staff.

Take them in Custody.

Gaja stepped forward instantly, while clenching his fists.

Wrong move.

Several soldiers surged at once.

The battlefield reignited.

Steel. Vines. Lightning.

And the total Chaos and misunderstanding.

From the edge above, the shadow finally turned away.

Interesting, a low voice murmured.

The valley shook as power gathered.

And somewhere deep within the den...

Something ancient stirred.

The same shadow smiled.

The shadow about to leave as the elder get involved.

BOOOOOOMMM—!

A blasting voice.

The shadow turned back.

And shocked...

He didn't believe what he saw with his eyes.
