I hadn't slept a single minute. My brain wouldn't stop. It kept replaying the kiss over and over again—her lips on mine, her body trembling under my touch. How her lips felt against mine, how her body had shivered under my touch. You'd think that after all of that, Alex would have been as captivated as I was. I thought she felt it too, that it meant something. I'd kissed her yesterday. She kissed me back. It wasn't just a simple gesture. There was something in her response, something that made my heart race and my blood burn with the possibility of more. But then, the next morning, I saw her kiss someone else. Raven. After everything. After she kissed me, after she responded to me yesterday, after she lied and told me she wasn't into girls.
